The storage piece that doubles as a hero shot

A brass sideboard earns its place twice — as storage, and as the piece that sells the room.

A sideboard already does the quiet work: plates and linen in a dining room, files behind a reception, glassware behind a bar. Clad or trimmed in brass, it also becomes the piece a designer specifies to anchor a scheme and a retailer margins up because it photographs like a hero. We build it honestly — a solid-wood carcass carries the doors, drawers and load, while brass does the visible metalwork across the fronts, hardware, inlay or base. Choose a ready design from our catalogue, or hand us your own drawing and we build to it.

How a brass sideboard is built

Brass on the surface, solid wood doing the work.

Brass appears on a sideboard in several ways — and each one changes the price, the weight and the look. We match the construction to how you sell and how you ship.

Brass-clad & embossed fronts

Hand-hammered or etched brass sheet wrapped over the cabinet doors and panels — the full-statement build, worked in Moradabad over a sheesham or mango carcass, ideal as a lobby or dining-room anchor.

Brass hardware, inlay & trims

Polished pulls, knobs, corner caps, strap trims and fine inlay lift a carved solid-wood sideboard — lighter to ship, lower material cost, and an easy upsell across a storage range.

Cast & tubular brass bases

Sand-cast or spun tubular legs and plinths carry the wood cabinet on a visible brass frame, often paired with powder-coated wrought iron — contemporary, and able to ship knock-down to raise container density.

Whatever the build, the carcass is solid wood with real joinery, so the piece survives commercial use and a lifetime of doors opening and closing. Read how the metal itself behaves — composition, finishes and care — on our brass material guide, or see the full storage range on the sideboards hub.

Finishes & pairings

One metal, many looks — matched to your sample before we cut a container.

Polished, brushed or antique

A mirror polish for a bright, luxe front; a brushed satin that hides fingerprints on high-touch doors; or a chemically aged antique tone for a consistent vintage look from day one.

Lacquered & plated

Clear lacquer seals the brass against tarnish, while nickel, chrome, black or gunmetal plating and powder-coat extend the palette for contemporary ranges and high-traffic contract floors.

Wood & surface pairings

Pair brass with a sheesham, mango, acacia or reclaimed-wood carcass in natural, stained or distressed finishes, or combine it with bone inlay, marble tops or cane and rattan door panels.

Made for hospitality & retail

Brass is hard-wearing, corrosion-resistant and repairable, and a solid-wood carcass takes daily opening and closing — which makes a brass sideboard well suited to hotel guest rooms and lobbies, restaurant and bar service stations, reception consoles and boutique retail. We build to commercial-use expectations, QC each lot, and finish the metal for the wear your setting demands. See the full range we make for hotels, restaurants and bars.

Import-ready & easy to care for

Lacquered brass needs only a dry or barely-damp soft cloth — no abrasives or acidic cleaners that strip the seal; a living finish simply deepens, and can be polished bright and re-lacquered. On the paperwork side, the wood carcass and the container clear with FSC, Vriksh, EUDR-ready and CARB/TSCA documentation. See every certification we hold.

Questions buyers ask

Brass sideboards — wholesale & export FAQ

What is a brass sideboard made of?

Our brass sideboards are built on a solid-wood carcass — sheesham, mango, acacia or reclaimed wood — with brass worked into the fronts, hardware, inlay, trims or base. The brass can be hand-patterned sheet clad over cabinet doors, cast or tubular legs, polished handles and strap trims, or fine inlay set into the wood. Every piece carries a solid-wood structure that carries the load; we do not supply plywood-only or panel cabinets. The metalwork is crafted in the Moradabad brass cluster and assembled with our Jodhpur solid-wood lines.

Does the brass on a sideboard tarnish?

Bare brass develops a warm patina over time as copper reacts with air, and many buyers choose that living finish deliberately. Where a bright, stable look is needed we apply a clear lacquer that seals the surface so it will not tarnish in normal indoor use, while antique and brushed finishes are aged on purpose so they read consistent from day one. For high-traffic hospitality floors we can also plate or powder-coat the brass.

What is the minimum order for wholesale brass sideboards?

A trial or sample order can ship LCL (part-container) so you can approve the brass tone, finish, wood and build first. For best wholesale pricing thereafter, one 20ft full container load is our standard minimum, and we consolidate brass sideboards with other furniture, décor and metalware into a single mixed container. Knock-down / flat-pack construction raises container density on larger runs.

Can you make brass sideboards to our own design or private label?

Yes. We work as both ODM (our catalogue designs) and OEM — manufacturing to your drawings, dimensions, door configuration, brass finish and wood, with custom CNC carving, your branding and retail-ready or Amazon-FBA packaging. Send a reference image or spec and we prototype to it before any production run.

Are your brass sideboards compliant for US and EU import?

Yes. Brass is a metal, but the solid-wood carcass and the wider consolidated container still have to clear — so we document FSC chain-of-custody, Vriksh timber-legality and CITES-compliant sheesham handling, with ISO, SGS and SEDEX/SMETA audits, EN 10204 MTC-style material traceability, EUDR-ready due diligence, US Lacey Act support, UK Timber Regulation, CARB/TSCA finishes and ISPM-15 export packing.

What sizes do brass sideboards come in?

Indicative widths run from roughly 120 cm up to 200 cm, depth around 40–45 cm and height around 75–85 cm, with two to four doors or a mix of doors and drawers. These are reference ranges only — every dimension, door layout and brass finish is made to your order and confirmed at the quote stage.
