Metal handicrafts made in India — brass artware and wrought-iron décor for export
Why metalware earns its container space

Brass and iron are the high-margin accents that finish a furniture range.

A buyer who orders dining tables also needs the lanterns, trays, mirrors and planters that merchandise them — and metalware carries a margin that plain furniture cannot. It is dense, it travels well, and it fills the gaps in a wood container that would otherwise ship air. We treat metal as a craft in its own right: genuine Moradabad brasswork and Jodhpur forged iron, inspected to one standard and packed to arrive sound, so a single enquiry becomes a complete, sellable range rather than a part of one.

What makes this craft special

Moradabad brass meets Jodhpur iron — two metal traditions, one source.

India's metal handicrafts come from distinct clusters, and we draw on the best of each. Moradabad, India's brass city, is where brassware is cast, spun, engraved and etched by generations of karigars. Jodhpur is where forged wrought iron is married to solid wood. We bring both together under one roof — governed by the QC and documentation a serious importer expects.

Moradabad brass heritage

Cast, spun, engraved, etched and hammered brass from the cluster that built its name on the metal — lanterns, trays, bowls, planters and artware with genuine hand-worked depth, not stamped imitation.

Jodhpur forged iron

Wrought iron forged and powder-coated to pair with solid sheesham, mango and reclaimed wood — the industrial and farmhouse wood-and-metal look that retail and hospitality buyers keep reordering.

Finish and patina to spec

Antique, polished, brushed or lacquered brass; distressed, aged or matte-black iron. We match a reference finish, hardware and weight so a repeat order looks identical to the first — consistency most metal clusters cannot hold.

Your design or ours

Order our catalogue brass and iron (ODM) or send a drawing, sample or mood-board and we tool and reproduce it (OEM) — scaled, finished and branded, with custom CNC and bespoke design support.

How it ships

Metalware, consolidated with your furniture, cleared for your market.

Metal handicrafts are dense and robust, which makes them ideal to blend into a wood container: brass lanterns, iron candle stands and planters pack into the gaps that furniture alone would leave as air. Because we make metalware, solid-wood furniture, carved wood and décor in-house and across a vetted cluster network, we build one load — inspected to a single standard, documented once, and packed to arrive sound. Wood-and-metal pieces can ship flat-pack or knockdown to free up the cube, and the whole container clears under one compliant invoice.

The compliance edge

Metal moves simply — and where there's wood, the paperwork travels with it.

Pure metalware carries no timber regime, so it ships cleanly, packed and audited to export standard. The moment a piece combines metal with solid wood, it inherits the full regime: FSC chain-of-custody, Vriksh timber-legality and CITES-compliant handling of sheesham, with EUDR-ready due diligence, US Lacey Act support, UK Timber Regulation and CARB / TSCA finishes. SEDEX / SMETA social audit and ISO and SGS inspection cover the line either way — so your mixed container clears while others' sit at the port.

Questions buyers ask

Sourcing metal handicrafts from India.

What are metal handicrafts and where are they made in India?

Metal handicrafts are decorative and functional pieces hand-worked in brass and iron — artware, lighting, tableware, planters, mirrors and furniture components. Ours draw on two traditions: the Moradabad brass cluster, India's 'brass city', for cast, spun, engraved and etched brassware, and the Jodhpur wrought-iron craft that pairs forged metal with solid wood. We make lanterns, trays, bowls, candle holders, planters, wall art, sculptures and mirror frames as ready ODM designs or made to your own drawings (OEM).

Can metalware ship in the same container as wooden furniture?

Yes — that is the point of sourcing through us. Because we make solid-wood furniture, carved wood, metalware and décor across our own factory and a vetted cluster network, we build one mixed-category container: brass and iron pieces packed around dining tables, consoles and accessories to maximise density. A trial or sample order can ship LCL; thereafter one 20ft full container load (FCL) is our standard minimum for best pricing.

Are your brass and iron products suitable for import into the US and EU?

Metalware on its own carries no timber regime, so it moves simply, packed and audited to export standard. Wherever a piece combines metal with solid wood — a wood-and-iron table, a wooden-based lantern — it carries the full timber paperwork: FSC chain-of-custody, Vriksh timber-legality and CITES-compliant handling of sheesham, EUDR-ready due diligence, US Lacey Act support, UK Timber Regulation and CARB / TSCA finishes. Social audit is covered by SEDEX / SMETA with ISO and SGS inspection, and wood packing is ISPM-15 heat-treated.

What metals and finishes do you offer?

We work primarily in brass and wrought iron. Brass is cast, spun, engraved, etched and hammered, and finished antique, polished, brushed or lacquered; iron is forged, powder-coated or given a distressed, aged or natural-matte finish, and frequently married to solid sheesham, mango or reclaimed wood. Finish, patina and hardware are all made to your reference or specification.

What is the minimum order and lead time for metal handicrafts?

A trial or sample order can ship LCL so you approve the metal, finish and weight before committing. Thereafter one 20ft FCL is our standard minimum for competitive pricing, with furniture, metalware and décor freely combined in one load. Typical lead time is 30–45 days; urgent orders can be scheduled at a premium.

Do you make custom and private-label metalware?

Yes. We are both ODM — our own catalogue of brass and iron designs — and OEM, manufacturing to your drawings, finishes, dimensions and brand. That includes custom CNC and tooling, bespoke design support, and custom, retail-ready, Amazon-FBA-ready or branded gift packaging so the piece lands on your shelf ready to sell.

Send us a reference — we'll quote, finish and sample it.

Share a catalogue, a drawing or a sample. We'll come back with FOB / CIF pricing, MOQs and lead times, and produce a sample so you approve the metal, the finish and the weight before you commit a container. Add it to a mixed load of furniture and décor, or run it as a private-label range of your own.
