Mango wood furniture — a hard, sustainable hardwood built for export.
Mango (Mangifera indica) is a dense, fast-growing tropical hardwood with a lustrous, richly varied grain — strong enough for daily retail and hospitality use, kind to your landed cost, and among the most responsibly sourced timbers we offer.
A genuine hardwood at a smart price — with a sustainability story your customers believe.
Mango bridges the gap between cheap softwood and premium rosewood. It carries real density and a characterful grain that photographs and sells, yet comes from orchard trees felled at the end of their fruiting life — so your range is solid wood and deforestation-free. For importers, retailers and hospitality buyers diversifying their sourcing, it is one of the easiest solid woods to stand behind.
Hard and hard-wearing
A Janka hardness near 1,070 lbf puts mango alongside walnut and most oak — dense enough to resist dents and years of commercial handling.
Expressive grain
Interlocked, often lustrous grain with golden, pink and darker streaks. No two boards match, which gives each piece a one-of-a-kind look.
By-product, not felled forest
Harvested from spent fruit orchards on a replant cycle — a sustainable, fast-renewing source we document with FSC and Vriksh.

One timber, a full finishing range.
Mango's open, receptive grain is a finisher's wood — it carries everything from pale limewash to deep espresso cleanly. We match to your reference or Pantone, and specify CARB / TSCA Title VI formaldehyde-compliant finishes for the US and EU markets on request.
Natural oil & wax
Low-sheen finish that shows the true grain and colour variation — the on-trend organic look for retail and café ranges.
Satin & gloss PU lacquer
A tougher sealed surface for dining tops, bar fronts and high-traffic hospitality furniture.
Stains & two-tone
Walnut, espresso, grey and whitewash tones, plus two-tone and metal-banded looks paired with wrought iron.
Mango pairs naturally with our wood-and-metal line and complements denser species across the range. Compare it against sheesham (Indian rosewood) furniture for a heavier, more water-resistant option, or against reclaimed and old-wood furniture for the most sustainable story of all.
Mango that clears customs — not one that sits at the port.
Because mango comes from managed orchards rather than forest, it is a natural fit for today's import rules. We supply it with FSC chain-of-custody and Vriksh timber-legality documentation, EUDR-ready geolocation and deforestation-free due diligence, US Lacey Act declaration support and UK Timber Regulation readiness — packed to ISPM-15. Certificate details are shared directly with serious buyers on request.
| Requirement | How mango is supplied |
|---|---|
| Timber legality | Vriksh verified · orchard-sourced |
| Sustainability | FSC chain-of-custody · orchard by-product |
| EU market | EUDR-ready · geolocation · UKTR |
| US market | Lacey Act support · CARB / TSCA finishes |
| Export packing | ISPM-15 heat-treated · flat-pack options |

Choose mango when you want
A genuine, dense hardwood at a cost-advantaged price; a strong sustainability and deforestation-free story; expressive grain that sells on the shelf and online; and clean carving and CNC detail. Ideal for indoor dining, living, bedroom, wood-and-metal and décor lines.
Consider an alternative when
You need maximum density and water resistance — sheesham (Indian rosewood) is heavier and harder. For sustained outdoor exposure, acacia or teak resist decay far better, since mango is not naturally rot-resistant and should stay indoors or be fully sealed and maintained.
Care in short: keep indoors and out of direct heat and sun; wipe with a soft, barely damp cloth and dry at once; use coasters under hot and wet items; feed oiled or waxed surfaces with wood wax a few times a year. Full care guidance ships with every order.

Questions buyers ask about mango wood furniture.
Is mango wood good for furniture?
Yes. Mango (Mangifera indica) is a dense tropical hardwood with a Janka hardness around 1,070 lbf — comparable to American black walnut and harder than many pines and oaks used for case goods. It resists dents and daily wear, machines and carves cleanly, takes stain and lacquer beautifully, and offers a lustrous grain with natural colour variation. For dining tables, sideboards, beds and seating built for retail and hospitality, it is an excellent, cost-advantaged solid wood.
Is mango wood sustainable and eco-friendly?
Mango is one of the most sustainable furniture timbers. The mango tree is grown primarily for fruit; after roughly 15 years its fruit yield falls and the tree is felled and replanted as part of normal orchard rotation. Furniture therefore uses a by-product of existing agriculture rather than timber felled from forest for its own sake. We supply it with FSC chain-of-custody and Vriksh timber-legality documentation and are EUDR-ready with deforestation-free, geolocated due diligence.
How hard and durable is mango wood compared to sheesham or oak?
Mango sits in the medium-to-hard hardwood band — roughly 1,070 on the Janka scale, close to walnut and most oak, and softer than sheesham (Indian rosewood), which is denser and more water-resistant. Mango is strong, dimensionally stable when properly kiln-dried, and durable for indoor furniture. It is not naturally rot-resistant, so for long-term outdoor use we recommend sheesham, acacia or teak, or a fully sealed and maintained finish.
How do you care for mango wood furniture?
Keep mango furniture indoors, out of direct sunlight and away from radiators or vents to limit drying and movement. Wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry immediately; avoid soaking, harsh chemicals and silicone sprays. Use coasters and mats under hot or wet items, and feed oiled or waxed surfaces with a suitable wood wax two to four times a year. Lacquered and PU-sealed finishes need only regular dusting.
What finishes are available on mango wood furniture?
We finish mango in natural matte oil and wax, satin and gloss PU lacquer, hand-distressed and antique tones, whitewash and limewash, dark walnut and espresso stains, two-tone and metal-banded looks, and live-edge natural edges. All interior-market finishes are specified CARB / TSCA Title VI formaldehyde-compliant on request.
What is the minimum order and lead time for mango wood furniture?
A trial or sample order can ship LCL (part container). For best wholesale pricing, one 20ft full container load is the standard minimum thereafter, and we consolidate mixed categories into one container. Typical lead time is 30–45 days, with urgent orders at a premium. We quote FOB or CIF from Mundra or Nhava Sheva.
