Why marble, why Rajasthan

Stone with a provenance your customers will recognise.

Rajasthan is one of the world's great marble regions — home to the white Makrana marble used in the Taj Mahal — and the Jaipur carving tradition that turns stone into furniture and inlay. We work that heritage into pieces built for export: tops selected for even veining, edges machined true, and every base engineered so a heavy stone top travels and sells.

Built to arrive intact

Heavy stone, engineered to travel and to clear customs.

Stone is unforgiving freight, so we build for the voyage. Tops are foam-wrapped and corner-guarded, crated in ISPM-15 heat-treated timber, and wooden bases ship flat-pack to raise container density and cut breakage. Because most pieces combine stone with solid wood, the timber side carries full FSC chain-of-custody, Vriksh timber-legality and EUDR-ready due diligence — so your marble load clears on one compliant set of documents.

Marble vs the alternatives

Natural stone, honestly compared.

Common questions

Marble & stone furniture — answered.

What is marble furniture made of?

Our marble furniture pairs a natural stone top — marble, sandstone, soapstone or terrazzo quarried in Rajasthan — with a base in solid wood (sheesham, mango, acacia or reclaimed wood) or wrought iron. We also make full-stone pieces such as garden planters, bird baths, fountains and pedestals, plus marble inlay, bone-inlay and mother-of-pearl work in the Jaipur tradition.

Is marble furniture durable enough for hotels, restaurants and bars?

Yes. Marble is a heat-resistant natural stone used for centuries in high-traffic settings. For commercial use we recommend a honed or leathered finish, which hides wear better than a high-polish, and we seal every top to resist staining. We quote hospitality and contract projects with the finish, edge profile and base built for daily commercial service.

How do you protect heavy marble furniture during ocean freight?

Stone is packed for sea transit: each top is edge-protected with foam and corner guards, crated in ISPM-15 heat-treated timber, and bases ship flat-pack where possible to cut breakage and freight. We consolidate marble, wood furniture and décor into one 20ft container with managed QC before loading at Mundra or Nhava Sheva.

Can you customise the marble colour, size, edge and base?

Yes — we are both ODM and OEM. Choose white, beige, green or black marble, your slab size and thickness, edge profile (straight, bevelled, bullnose or ogee), finish, and a base in the wood species, iron style or private-label design you specify. Custom CNC carving and inlay patterns are made to your drawing.

How is marble furniture different from quartz or engineered stone?

Marble is a natural metamorphic stone, so every top has unique veining and a genuine cool, premium feel; quartz and sintered stone are man-made and uniform. Marble is softer (around 3–4 on the Mohs scale) and porous, so it is sealed and benefits from honed finishes in heavy use, but it is fully repairable and ages with character rather than delaminating.

Do marble pieces carry the same timber compliance as your wood furniture?

The stone itself is not timber, but the solid-wood and reclaimed-wood bases we pair with it carry our full FSC chain-of-custody, Vriksh timber-legality and EUDR-ready due diligence, with ISPM-15 heat-treated crating for every shipment. You receive one compliant set of documents for the whole container.
