Teak furniture — the weather-proof hardwood, built for export.
Teak is the wood buyers reach for when a piece has to survive weather, humidity and heavy commercial use. We manufacture indoor and outdoor teak furniture in Jodhpur — legally sourced, FSC and EUDR-ready, finished to your spec and container-ready worldwide.
A tropical hardwood with its own built-in weather protection.
Teak (Tectona grandis) is a tropical hardwood from the mint family, long considered the premium timber for furniture that must perform outdoors and in demanding commercial settings. What sets it apart is chemistry, not just density: teak carries a high level of natural oils and silica within the grain. Those oils repel water, resist rot and fungal decay, and deter insects — the reason teak has been used for ship decks, garden furniture and verandah pieces for centuries, often with no protective coating at all.
Freshly worked teak is a warm golden-brown, sometimes with darker streaks, settling to a honeyed tone indoors. Left outdoors and untreated, it weathers gracefully to a soft silver-grey patina that many designers specify deliberately. The grain is typically straight, occasionally wavy, with a coarse, uneven texture and a faintly leathery scent when cut. For buyers, teak reads as quality on sight — which is exactly why it commands shelf and project premiums across the US, EU, Australia and Gulf markets we serve.

Products we build in solid teak.
Outdoor & garden
Dining sets, benches, loungers, planters and patio tables that weather sun, rain and salt air without a protective finish — the classic teak use case.
Hospitality & contract
Resort, poolside, café and terrace furniture built for commercial duty cycles, where teak's durability and prestige both matter on the floor.
Bathroom & wet areas
Vanities, stools, duckboards and shelving that shrug off moisture — teak's natural water resistance makes it the specifier's choice for wet rooms.
Dining & living
Tables, sideboards and seating where a warm golden grain and long service life justify the premium for retail and project buyers.
Carved & CNC detail
Teak takes crisp carving and CNC machining, so panels, doors and statement pieces hold fine detail without chipping.
Flat-pack / knockdown
Knockdown teak outdoor and dining ranges that lower freight and breakage — made for large importers and online sellers.
Teak versus the alternatives.
Teak is not always the right answer — it is the right answer for weather, moisture and prestige. Here is how it compares with the other solid woods we work in, so you can brief us on the best fit for your product and price point.
| Wood | Character | Best for | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|
| Teak | Oily, weather-proof, golden-brown, very stable | Outdoor, bathroom, hospitality, premium indoor | Premium timber; silica dulls tooling |
| Sheesham | Dense Indian rosewood, dark-streaked grain | Indoor dining, bedroom, living | Not for sustained outdoor exposure |
| Mango | Fast-grown, varied grain, cost-advantaged | Value indoor ranges, décor, accents | Softer; indoor use |
| Acacia | Hard, wavy figure, warm tones | Dining tops, boards, light outdoor | More movement than teak outdoors |
| Reclaimed / old wood | Weathered character, sustainability story | Industrial, rustic, eco ranges | Variable stock; indoor-led |
An honest view for buyers.
Teak sells itself on durability and looks, but a good supplier is straight about the trade-offs. Here is where teak wins and where you might brief us toward another wood.
Strengths
- Exceptional natural durability — rot, decay and insect resistant without heavy treatment.
- Thrives outdoors and in wet areas where most hardwoods fail.
- Dimensionally stable; low warping and movement across climates.
- Warm, premium golden grain that commands a price premium at retail.
- Takes carving, CNC detail and a wide range of finishes cleanly.
Trade-offs
- A premium timber — specify it where its weather resistance is genuinely needed.
- High silica content dulls cutting tools, demanding experienced machining.
- Untreated outdoor teak silvers over time — a feature for some buyers, not all.
- For sustained value indoor ranges, sheesham or mango is often the smarter brief.
Finishes and simple maintenance.
We finish teak to your market. For indoor pieces we apply CARB / TSCA-compliant low-emission lacquers in matt or satin, oiled or natural tones. Outdoor teak is typically left natural or lightly teak-oiled.
| Use | Finish & care |
|---|---|
| Indoor | Natural, oiled or matt/satin lacquer; wipe clean, avoid soaking |
| Outdoor (golden) | Re-apply teak oil periodically to retain the warm tone |
| Outdoor (silvered) | Leave untreated; occasional wash to clear grime — no finish needed |
| Bathroom / wet | Natural oils resist moisture; dry after heavy wetting |
We supply care guidance per order and can pre-finish, part-finish or ship raw for your own line.
Teak you can import with the paperwork already done.
Teak is a tropical timber, which means it sits squarely inside the regulations tightening across your markets. We built our documentation around them: FSC chain-of-custody, Vriksh timber-legality verification and EUDR-ready due diligence with geolocation and deforestation-free sourcing records — so your container clears while others' sit at the port.
For the US we support Lacey Act declarations; for the UK, the UK Timber Regulation; and indoor teak is finished to CARB / TSCA formaldehyde norms. Export packaging is ISPM-15 heat-treated. Certificate references go directly to serious buyers — never published.

What buyers ask about teak.
Is teak good for outdoor furniture?
Teak is the benchmark wood for outdoor furniture. Its naturally high oil and silica content makes it resistant to water, rot, insects and fungal decay, so it survives sun, rain and salt air without a protective finish. Left untreated it weathers to a soft silver-grey patina; oiled, it holds its golden-brown colour. We supply teak garden and outdoor ranges in both assembled and flat-pack forms.
What is the difference between teak and sheesham?
Teak (Tectona grandis) is prized for outdoor durability and dimensional stability thanks to its natural oils, with a warm golden-brown colour and straight grain. Sheesham (Dalbergia sissoo, Indian rosewood) is a dense interior hardwood with dramatic dark-streaked grain, ideal for indoor furniture. We work in both, plus mango, acacia and reclaimed wood, and can advise which suits your product and market.
Is your teak legally and sustainably sourced?
Yes. We document FSC chain-of-custody and Vriksh timber-legality verification on teak, and our due diligence is EUDR-ready with geolocation and deforestation-free sourcing records. We support US Lacey Act declarations and UK Timber Regulation, and apply CARB / TSCA-compliant finishes. Certificate references are shared directly with serious buyers.
How do you finish and maintain teak furniture?
Teak accepts a range of finishes — natural, teak-oiled, matt or satin lacquer, and CARB / TSCA-compliant low-emission coatings for indoor pieces. Outdoor teak needs little more than occasional cleaning and, if a golden tone is preferred, periodic teak-oil application; otherwise it can be left to silver naturally. We finish to your specification under ODM or OEM.
Can you make teak furniture to our own designs?
Yes. We are both ODM, with our own teak catalogue, and OEM, manufacturing to your drawings, dimensions, finishes and private-label requirements, including custom CNC carving and machining. We supply from a trial LCL order up to repeat 20ft container volumes on a 30–45 day lead time.
Where do you ship teak furniture and on what terms?
We export worldwide from Mundra and Nhava Sheva on FOB or CIF terms, with current buyers across the USA, Australia and the Netherlands and active expansion into the UK, EU and Gulf. Flat-pack teak maximises container density; export packaging is ISPM-15 heat-treated.
