What it is
A wood-and-epoxy headboard, not a plastic panel
A resin headboard is a solid-wood piece completed with cast epoxy resin. We start with a genuine wood slab or frame — the live edge, grain and knots stay visible — then pour epoxy into the voids, river channels or decorative bands. Once cured, wood and resin are sanded to a single flush plane and finished together, so the panel reads as one continuous surface: warm timber running into glass-clear or jewel-toned resin.
Because the resin is pigment-tunable, the same headboard shape can read a dozen different ways — a calm translucent blue "river," a smoky charcoal insert, a pearl-white pour for a coastal hotel, or a metallic gold vein for a statement suite. The wood does the structural work and supplies the heritage character; the resin supplies the color, depth and the light-catching focal point behind the bed.
Why resin works behind a bed
Properties & benefits
Durable, wipe-clean surface
Cured epoxy forms a hard, non-porous face that resists moisture, scuffs and daily contact from pillows and headrests — practical for both residential bedrooms and high-turnover hotel rooms.
One-of-a-kind focal point
Every pour flows differently through the grain, so no two headboards are identical. That is a selling feature for retailers and designers who want a piece that photographs as bespoke.
Color freedom
Translucent, opaque, pearlescent or metallic pigments let us match a palette, a brand or a room scheme without changing the wood — the same mold, infinite finishes.
Solid-wood backbone
Sheesham, mango, acacia and reclaimed hardwoods give the panel real weight and longevity — this is furniture-grade construction, not a veneered or printed look-alike.
Light & depth
Clear and translucent resins carry light into the panel, creating the sense of depth and movement that makes river-resin pieces so recognizable.
Flat-pack friendly
Panel-form headboards with wall-mount or bolt-on fixings travel well as knockdown units — denser containers, lower freight per unit, less breakage.

Use cases
Resin headboards suit buyers who want a statement piece with a documented, compliant supply chain behind it:
- Hospitality & contract — hotels, resorts and boutique suites specifying matching wall-mounted headboards across room types, with wipe-clean surfaces and repeatable finishes.
- Interior designers & architects — bespoke river-resin or live-edge panels color-matched to a scheme, produced to exact project dimensions.
- Importers & distributors — container programs mixing resin headboards with other bedroom furniture in one compliant load.
- Online sellers & dropship — flat-pack, FBA-ready headboards for Wayfair, Amazon and Etsy channels.
- Private-label / OEM brands — your designs, your resin palette, your packaging — we manufacture "the look" without appearing on it.
Care
Caring for a resin headboard
The cured epoxy surface is low-maintenance: wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth and a mild non-abrasive cleaner, and dry it off. Avoid solvents, scouring pads and harsh chemicals, which can dull the resin, and keep the panel out of continuous direct sunlight to preserve both the resin clarity and the wood tone. The solid-wood areas benefit from an occasional furniture wax or oil, depending on the finish specified — we confirm the recommended care routine for the exact finish system on your order.

Questions buyers ask
Resin headboard FAQs
What is a resin headboard made of?
A resin headboard pairs a solid-wood slab or frame — sheesham, mango, acacia or reclaimed wood — with a cast epoxy resin inlay. The wood supplies structure and grain character; the resin fills live edges, voids and decorative channels with clear, tinted, pearlescent or metallic-pigmented pours, then both are sanded flush and finished together.
Can you match a custom resin color or a specific wood?
Yes. As an ODM and OEM manufacturer we tint epoxy to your reference — translucent ocean blues, smoky blacks, pearl whites, metallic golds or a brand-matched Pantone-style shade — and pair it with your chosen wood species and finish. Request a sample to approve the resin color and wood tone before bulk production.
What sizes and headboard styles can you produce?
We build to international bed sizes — US Twin, Full, Queen, King and California King, plus UK and EU equivalents and bespoke project dimensions. Styles include full river-resin panels, live-edge single-slab tops, framed insert headboards and wall-mounted or bolt-on designs for hotel contract rooms.
Are resin headboards available flat-pack to lower freight?
Yes. We supply knockdown and flat-pack (RTA) headboards with wall-mount or bolt-on fixings so panels ship denser and arrive with less breakage risk — useful for large importers and online sellers. Fully assembled headboards are also available where a project requires them.
What is the minimum order and lead time?
A trial or sample order can ship LCL; for best pricing the minimum is one 20ft FCL, and mixed-category containers are supported so headboards can share a load with other furniture and décor. Typical lead time is 30–45 days, with urgent orders accommodated at a premium.
How do resin headboards meet export compliance?
Timber is covered by FSC chain-of-custody and Vriksh legality verification, with EUDR due-diligence and geolocation, US Lacey Act and UK Timber Regulation documentation available. Finishes can be specified CARB / TSCA Title VI compliant, and export packaging is ISPM-15 treated. Certificate details are shared directly with serious buyers.
