Resin furniture — epoxy river tables and resin-and-wood pieces, built for export.
Resin lets us turn a single live-edge slab into a statement top: a glassy, waterproof surface poured between real wood, finished to a standard your showroom and hotel floors can stand behind. We manufacture resin furniture as wood-and-resin — the craft of Jodhpur joinery joined to a modern casting resin.
A cured casting resin, poured into real wood.
Resin furniture pairs a liquid casting resin — poured, then cured into a solid — with a structural material, almost always solid wood. The best-known form is the river table: two live-edge slabs set apart, with clear or tinted epoxy flowing between them like water. Once cured, the resin is a hard, non-porous, waterproof surface; the wood carries the structure, grain and warmth. Because every piece is built on a solid-wood core, resin sits squarely inside what we make — we do not sell resin-only pieces or filled-panel substitutes.
How resin behaves — and why buyers specify it.
Cured furniture-grade epoxy is valued for clarity, hardness and a sealed surface. These are the attributes importers, designers and hospitality buyers ask us about most.
| Property | Resin (cured epoxy) | What it means for your product |
|---|---|---|
| Surface | Hard, non-porous, glass-smooth | Wipes clean; resists spills, rings and everyday stains |
| Water resistance | Fully waterproof once cured | Suits dining, bar and café tops where wood alone would mark |
| Clarity & colour | Casts crystal-clear or tinted | Clear "water" rivers, smoked, oceanic blue, black, metallic or custom |
| Heat tolerance | Stable within normal interior use | Trivets still advised for hot cookware, as with any finish |
| UV behaviour | Can amber over time in direct sun | Best specified for interiors; UV-stabilised systems for bright rooms |
| Dimensional stability | Low shrink; bonds strongly to wood | Holds large pours flat and gap-free against the slab |
| Weight | Heavier than the wood it replaces | Factored into base engineering and container loading |
Performance depends on resin quality, correct pour thickness, full cure and topcoat — all controlled in our process and checked under QC before dispatch.
Which resin for which piece.
Epoxy resin
Our standard for river tables and large tops. It cures crystal-clear, bonds strongly to wood, shrinks very little and can be poured in thick layers — so colour and clarity hold across a full tabletop. It is the right choice for furniture that will be seen and used every day.
Polyester resin
Cures faster and costs less, but shrinks more, can yellow and is better suited to small decorative castings than to large tabletops. We specify it only where it genuinely fits the product, and we guide you to the system that matches your market and price point.
River tables and resin-and-wood pieces.
Resin is a design language as much as a material. We build it into the forms buyers actually order — anchored, as always, on a genuine solid-wood slab.

How to keep a resin top looking new.
A cured resin surface is low-maintenance by design, and these simple rules keep it that way for the life of the piece — guidance we pass to you and that you can pass to your own customers.
- Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap; avoid abrasive pads and harsh solvents.
- Use trivets and coasters for hot cookware, as with any furniture surface.
- Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to preserve colour clarity over the years.
- Buff out light scuffs with a fine polish; the sealed surface needs no re-oiling.
Pros & cons vs a plain wood top
| Resin-and-wood top | Plain solid-wood top |
|---|---|
| Waterproof, sealed, stain-resistant | Porous; needs oiling and marks more easily |
| Distinctive, high shelf appeal | Classic, understated |
| Heavier; richer freight per piece | Lighter; denser container loading |
| Best for interiors; can amber in UV | Patinas naturally over time |
| Higher craft and material input | Lower unit cost |
The resin is modern. The wood is fully documented.
A resin table is only as import-ready as the timber inside it. The solid wood in every piece carries FSC chain-of-custody and Vriksh timber-legality documentation, with CITES-compliant handling of sheesham. We are EUDR-ready — geolocated and deforestation-free — and we support US Lacey Act declarations, UK Timber Regulation and CARB / TSCA-compliant finishes, packed to ISPM-15. Your resin container clears like any other compliant load.
| Requirement | Our standard |
|---|---|
| Timber legality | Vriksh verified · CITES-compliant sheesham |
| Sustainability | FSC chain-of-custody · reclaimed-wood options |
| EU market | EUDR-ready · geolocation · UKTR |
| US market | Lacey Act support · CARB / TSCA finishes |
| Social audit | SEDEX / SMETA · ISO · SGS inspection |
| Export packing | ISPM-15 heat-treated · knockdown bases |
From sample slab to loaded container.
Minimum order
A trial or sample order ships LCL. For best wholesale pricing thereafter, one 20ft full container is our standard minimum — and resin tables consolidate happily with other furniture and décor in a mixed load.
Lead time
Typically 30–45 days, including the cure and finishing that resin requires. Urgent orders can be accommodated at a premium. We sample first so you approve wood, resin colour and build before bulk.
Shipping
FOB or CIF from Mundra / Nhava Sheva, quoted in USD, EUR or GBP. Knockdown bases keep freight efficient; tops are crated and ISPM-15 packed for safe long-haul transit.
Resin furniture — frequently asked.
What is resin furniture?
Resin furniture is made by combining a cured casting resin — most often an epoxy or polyester resin — with another material, usually solid wood. In a river table, clear or tinted epoxy is poured between two live-edge slabs to form a glassy "river". The resin sets into a hard, non-porous, waterproof surface, while the wood gives the piece its structure, grain and warmth. We build resin furniture as wood-and-resin pieces, never as resin alone.
Are epoxy resin river tables durable enough for commercial use?
Yes. A fully cured epoxy surface is hard, water-resistant, heat-tolerant within normal interior limits and resistant to everyday stains and spills, which makes resin-and-wood tops well suited to hospitality and contract settings. Durability depends on resin quality, correct pour thickness, full cure and a protective topcoat — all of which we control and QC on every piece before it ships.
What is the difference between epoxy and polyester resin for furniture?
Epoxy resin is the standard for furniture-grade river tables: it cures crystal-clear, bonds strongly to wood, shrinks very little and pours in thick layers, so it holds colour and clarity over large tops. Polyester resin cures faster and costs less, but it shrinks more, can yellow and is better suited to small castings than to large tabletops. We specify the resin system to match the product and your market's requirements.
Can you make resin tables to custom sizes, colours and wood species?
Yes. Resin furniture is a natural fit for OEM and bespoke work. You choose the wood — sheesham, acacia, mango or reclaimed wood — the slab layout, the resin tint (clear, smoked, oceanic blue, black, metallic or custom), and the dimensions and base. We produce from your drawings or develop a design with you, with samples before bulk production.
Is the wood in your resin furniture responsibly sourced and import-compliant?
Yes. The solid wood in our resin pieces is backed by FSC chain-of-custody and Vriksh timber-legality documentation, with CITES-compliant handling of sheesham. We are EUDR-ready with geolocation and deforestation-free due diligence, and we support US Lacey Act declarations, UK Timber Regulation, and CARB / TSCA-compliant finishes, with ISPM-15 export packing.
What is your minimum order and lead time for resin furniture?
A trial or sample order can ship LCL (part-container). For best wholesale pricing, one 20ft full container load is our standard minimum thereafter, and we consolidate resin tables with other furniture and décor in a mixed container. Typical lead time is 30–45 days, with urgent orders available at a premium.
