Wrought iron armchairs, hand-forged in Jodhpur — wholesale for importers, retailers and hospitality.
Forged-iron frames and arms married to a solid-wood seat — the industrial, farmhouse and vintage look buyers know, built to commercial strength. Manufacturer-direct, compliance-documented and container-ready, from a trial order up.
An armchair that reads industrial and sits like furniture.
The forged-iron base under a mango-wood or reclaimed-timber seat is the piece buyers associate with Jodhpur — and as an armchair it does more work than any side chair can. It fills a loft corner, finishes a reading nook, anchors a café banquette and lifts a farmhouse dining head. Wrought iron gives that chair the one thing tube steel never will: real density, a hand-worked line, and a frame that can take arm-loads and lean-back stress for years. We build it honestly — iron does the visible structure, a solid-wood seat carries the sitter's weight, and wood arm caps soften the touch points. Choose a ready design from our catalogue or hand us your own drawing.
Iron on the outside, solid wood doing the work.
Wrought iron is low-carbon iron worked hot — hammered, drawn, bent and welded by hand — so each frame carries the slight irregularity and density of genuine forging, not the hollow lightness of tube steel. Because an armchair takes more load and leverage than a dining chair, we match the construction to how you sell and ship it, and to the wear your setting demands.
Forged frame, solid-wood seat
A full hand-forged iron frame carries the arms and back, with a shaped sheesham, mango or acacia seat taking the load — the core industrial-and-rustic build, ideal for cafés, lofts and farmhouse dining.
Scrollwork & decorative iron
Hammered scrolls, twists and traditional Rajasthani ironwork on the back and arms for a vintage or garden-chair look, finished antique or distressed and paired with a wood or woven seat.
Upholstered & mixed-material
An iron frame with an upholstered or leather seat cushion, or iron paired with cane and rattan — contemporary and comfortable, and able to ship knock-down to raise container density.
Whatever the build, every armchair carries at least one solid-wood component, so it survives daily sitting and ocean freight alike. Read how the metal itself behaves — forging, finishes, rust control and care — on our wrought iron material guide, or see the full seating range on the armchairs hub.
One metal, many looks — matched to your sample before we cut a container.
Powder-coat colour
A baked powder coat over a zinc-rich primer in matt black, graphite, white or a custom RAL colour — the hardest-wearing finish, right for high-traffic hospitality floors and covered outdoor use.
Raw, antique & distressed
Bare forged iron sealed with wax or lacquer for the true raw-industrial look, or a chemically aged antique and rust-effect finish that reads consistent and vintage from day one.
Seat & wood pairings
Pair the iron with a solid-wood seat in sheesham, mango, acacia or reclaimed timber, an upholstered cushion in your own fabric, full-grain leather, or hand-woven cane.

Made for hospitality & retail
Wrought iron is tough, rigid and repairable, which makes an iron-framed armchair well suited to restaurant lounges and cafés, cocktail bars, hotel rooms and boutique retail, plus covered patios and verandas. Because an armchair takes arm-loads and lean-back stress, we build to commercial-use expectations, QC each lot, and finish the metal for the wear your setting demands. See the full range we make for hotels, restaurants and bars.
Freight-smart & import-ready
Iron is dense, so freight matters — we engineer most armchairs as knock-down or flat-pack, with bolt-together frames and removable wood seats, to cut breakage and raise container density. On the paperwork side, the wood seat and the container clear with FSC, Vriksh, EUDR-ready and CARB/TSCA documentation. See every certification we hold.
Wrought iron armchairs — wholesale & export FAQ
What is a wrought iron armchair made of?
Our wrought iron armchairs pair a hand-forged iron frame — legs, arms and back worked hot into clean lines or decorative scrollwork — with a solid-wood seat and, often, wood arm caps. Every armchair carries at least one solid-wood component, usually a sheesham, mango, acacia or reclaimed-timber seat, so it holds a sitter's weight and lasts through commercial use; we do not supply tube-steel-and-plywood seating. The iron is forged in Jodhpur, India's hub for wood-and-iron furniture, and finished in powder-coat or an antique raw look.
Is a wrought iron armchair suitable for outdoor use?
Wrought iron is well suited to covered patios, verandas and conservatories thanks to its weight and rigidity. For outdoor or semi-outdoor settings we specify a zinc-rich primer under a UV-stable powder coat to resist rust, and pair the frame with a weather-tolerant solid-wood or stone seat rather than a timber that moves in the wet. For fully exposed coastal sites we advise on the right finish and seat pairing so the chair holds up in service.
How do you stop a wrought iron armchair from rusting?
Rust control starts at the factory: bare steel is cleaned and degreased, given a phosphate or zinc-rich primer, then sealed with either a baked powder coat or a hand-applied wax and lacquer for the raw-industrial look. In use, keep the frame dry, wipe spills promptly and touch up any chips. We supply matching touch-up finish and full finish specifications with each order.
What is the minimum order for wholesale wrought iron armchairs?
A trial or sample order can ship LCL (part-container) so you can approve the forging, finish, wood and comfort before committing. For best wholesale pricing thereafter, one 20ft full container load (FCL) is our standard minimum, and we consolidate wrought iron armchairs with other seating, furniture, décor and metalware into a single mixed container.
Can you make wrought iron armchairs to our own design or private label?
Yes. We are both ODM (our catalogue designs) and OEM — manufacturing to your drawings, dimensions, powder-coat colour, seat material and upholstery, with custom CNC carving, metal fabrication, your branding and retail-ready, Amazon-FBA-ready or gift packaging. Send a reference image or a spec and we prototype to it before any production run.
Are your wrought iron armchairs compliant for US and EU import?
Yes. The iron is a metal, but the solid-wood seat and the wider consolidated container still have to clear — so we document FSC chain-of-custody, Vriksh timber-legality and CITES-compliant sheesham handling, with ISO, SGS and SEDEX/SMETA audits, EUDR-ready due diligence, US Lacey Act support, UK Timber Regulation, CARB/TSCA finishes and ISPM-15 export packing.
Send a reference or your catalogue — we'll quote, sample and ship.
Tell us the style, powder-coat colour, seat material, quantity and market. We confirm the iron build, wood, finish, MOQ and a FOB/CIF price, produce a sample for approval, then manufacture and pack to your standard on a 30–45 day lead time.
