Brass trunks — Moradabad brasswork over a solid-wood heart.
Hand-embossed and brass-clad storage trunks built on kiln-dried solid-wood carcasses — the décor-grade, high-margin trunk for importers, interior designers and hospitality buyers. One compliant, container-ready source.
A solid-wood box, skinned and detailed in hand-worked brass.
A brass trunk reads as a treasure chest the moment it lands on a shelf — which is exactly why it sells. We build the structure from kiln-dried sheesham, mango or reclaimed wood, then clad it in sheet brass and hand-embossed repoussé panels, add corner brackets, strapping and a decorative lock plate, and finish the metal to your spec. It is the same construction that made Moradabad the world's brass-artware hub, applied to a storage piece that doubles as a coffee-table or end-of-bed surface. The wood gives it heft and longevity; the brass gives it the warm, collected shine that photographs well and carries a premium price.

Entryway & retail

Hospitality
Lobby and suite accent trunks that signal luxury in boutique and heritage hotels.
Brass earns its place — on the shelf and in the container.
Décor-grade shine
Hand-embossed brass catches light the way no printed or laminated finish can. It is the single detail that lifts a plain storage box into a feature piece buyers photograph and price up.
Durable & ageable
Brass does not rust; it either holds a lacquered polish or develops a living antique patina. Either way the metal outlasts the trend cycle, and dents can be chased out by hand rather than discarded.
Wood where it counts
The load-bearing carcass stays solid wood — kiln-dried to export moisture levels — so the trunk keeps the strength, screw-hold and timber-legal paperwork of our wooden ranges.

Your brass trunk, your motif, your brand.
We build from our own catalogue (ODM) and to your drawings (OEM) — custom sizes, embossing patterns, linings, hinges, locks and branded hardware, finished with retail-ready, Amazon-FBA-ready or gift packaging. Custom CNC and hand-chasing let us reproduce a reference piece or develop a signature embossed pattern exclusive to your range.
Built to arrive, and to last.
Lacquer-sealed brass needs only a dry, soft-cloth wipe and will hold its polish for years. Raw brass develops a living patina; to keep it bright, buyers can use a mild brass cleaner occasionally and dry fully. The solid-wood carcass should be kept out of direct heat and damp, with natural-oil finishes refreshed from time to time. For shipment, every brass trunk is corner-protected and ISPM-15 heat-treated-packed; flat-pack options cut breakage and freight further.
Brass on the outside, timber-legal underneath.
Because the carcass is solid wood — often sheesham or reclaimed — a brass trunk falls under the same EU and US import scrutiny as any wooden piece. We document the chain before you ask, so your container moves while others wait at the port.

What buyers ask before they order.
What exactly is a brass trunk?
A brass trunk is a storage chest whose solid-wood carcass is clad, strapped or inlaid with sheet brass and embossed brass panels. We build the box from kiln-dried sheesham, mango or reclaimed wood for structure, then wrap it in Moradabad-style brasswork — full cladding, repoussé-embossed panels, corner brackets, strapping and lock plates. You get the weight and longevity of real wood with the décor-grade shine of hand-worked metal.
Is the trunk solid brass or brass over wood?
Over wood. A fully solid-brass trunk of this size would be prohibitively heavy and costly to ship; our trunks are a solid-wood box skinned and detailed in brass, which is the authentic Moradabad construction and the right balance of strength, weight and freight cost. Every piece has at least one solid-wood component, so it carries the same timber-legality documentation as our wooden ranges.
What finishes are available on the brass?
Polished mirror-bright, antique or oxidised patina, brushed satin and hand-embossed relief. Brass can be lacquer-sealed to slow tarnish for low-maintenance retail stock, or left raw for buyers who want a living patina. Wood areas are finished in natural oil or matt lacquer using CARB / TSCA Title VI formaldehyde-compliant coatings.
What is the minimum order and lead time for brass trunks?
A trial or sample can ship LCL (part-container) so you approve the brasswork and build first. For best wholesale pricing thereafter, one 20ft full container load is our standard minimum, and brass trunks consolidate well with other furniture and décor into a mixed container. Typical lead time is 30–45 days from sample approval; urgent orders at a premium.
Can you make brass trunks to our own design and branding?
Yes. We are ODM and OEM — build from our catalogue or to your drawings, with custom sizes, embossing motifs, linings, hardware and private-label or retail-ready / Amazon-FBA packaging. Custom CNC and hand-chasing let us reproduce a reference piece or develop a signature embossed pattern for your range.
Are brass trunks compliant for import into the US and EU?
Yes. Because the carcass is solid wood, we document FSC chain-of-custody, Vriksh timber-legality and CITES-compliant handling of sheesham, with EUDR geolocation due diligence, US Lacey Act declaration support, UK Timber Regulation and ISPM-15 heat-treated export packing.
