The premium accent that goes anywhere

A teak side table sells indoors and out — one SKU, two rooms, a price point buyers trust.

The side table is the easiest piece to add to a basket and the easiest to style — a surface for a lamp and a book beside a sofa, or a drink beside a lounger on the deck. Teak is the wood that lets you do both. Its grain carries natural oils and silica that shrug off water, rot and insects, so the same accent table that photographs rich in a living-room set can go straight onto a patio, poolside or hotel terrace without changing a thing. That dual-use breadth is rare in an accent piece and valuable to a buyer: one well-made teak SKU earns a listing in both your indoor and your outdoor range. We build it from kiln-dried solid teak, colour-batch it so a nesting set or a retail run reads consistent across the carton, and leave the style to you — a ready design from our catalogue, or your own drawings.

Why teak works for a side table

Weather-proof chemistry, premium looks, and the durability a moved-around piece needs.

What sets teak apart is chemistry, not just density. The natural oils and silica locked in its grain are the reason it has been used for ship decks and garden furniture for centuries, often with no coating at all — and the reason a side table built from it survives sun, rain, humidity and heavy daily handling. Here is what that means for the piece on your floor, shelf or terrace.

Survives weather and wet

Teak's oil and silica content resist water, rot, fungal decay and insects, so an outdoor teak side table needs no protective finish to last through sun, rain and salt air — ideal for patio, poolside, balcony and resort-terrace ranges that an indoor-only wood cannot serve.

Dimensionally stable

Those same oils keep teak unusually stable through swings in heat and humidity, so a round top stays true and a slender base stays rigid after an ocean crossing and across seasons — the reliability a piece that gets lifted, moved and wiped down every day demands.

Reads premium on sight

Warm golden-brown heartwood with a mostly straight grain that buyers recognise as quality the moment the carton opens. Oiled, it holds that honeyed tone; left outdoors untreated, it weathers to the soft silver-grey patina many designers specify on purpose.

Because a side table is handled constantly and often moved between a room and a terrace, we kiln-dry the timber to a stable moisture content before cutting, mortise-and-tenon or dowel the joints so a slim base stays rigid, and true every top so it sits flat. Read how the timber itself behaves — oils, grain, weathering and finishes — on our teak material guide, or see every form on the side tables hub.

Forms, finishes & pairings

One wood, many silhouettes — matched to your approved sample before we cut a container.

Round, square, folding & nesting

Round and square accent tables, drum and barrel tables, C-shaped and laptop tables, folding and stacking patio tables, and two- or three-piece nesting sets that stack to ship dense and sell as one order value — the core container-economics range.

Natural, oiled or finished

Clear matt or satin lacquer to show the golden grain, teak-oiled for a deep honeyed tone, or left raw for outdoor pieces to silver naturally; stains and lightly distressed surfaces for farmhouse and coastal lines — indoor finishes in CARB/TSCA-compliant coatings for US and EU shelves.

Metal & surface pairings

Pair a teak top with a wrought-iron or brass base for the industrial and mid-century look, or set a marble or stone top over a teak base for a stain-resistant, upscale accent — the flat-pack-friendly combinations importers reorder.

Made for retail & hospitality

Teak's dual indoor-outdoor use makes a single accent SKU work for independent and chain retail, online and dropship listings, boutique hotels, resorts, serviced apartments and pool decks. Because a side table is lifted, moved and wiped down constantly, we true the tops, tighten the joints and QC each lot for a consistent look, and finish for the wear your setting demands. Import-ready & easy to care for

Indoor teak needs only a dry or barely-damp soft cloth and coasters under glasses; outdoor teak can be left to silver naturally or refreshed with teak oil to hold its golden tone. On the paperwork side, the wood and the container clear with FSC, Vriksh, EUDR-ready and CARB/TSCA documentation. Questions buyers ask

Teak side tables — wholesale & export FAQ

What is a teak side table made of?

It is built from solid teak — Tectona grandis, the tropical hardwood whose grain carries natural oils and silica that make it resist water, rot, fungal decay and insects. We use kiln-dried solid teak for the top, frame and any shelf or drawer, with at least one solid-wood component throughout. Bases can be solid teak, or a teak top paired with a wrought-iron or brass frame. We do not supply plywood-only or veneered panel side tables.

Can a teak side table be used outdoors?

Yes — teak is the benchmark wood for outdoor furniture, so a teak side table is equally at home on a patio, poolside, balcony or verandah as it is beside an indoor sofa. Its natural oils let it survive sun, rain and salt air with no protective coating; left untreated it weathers to a soft silver-grey patina, or an oiled finish holds its golden-brown tone. That dual indoor-outdoor use is why a teak accent table sells to both living-room and garden ranges from one SKU.

What sizes and styles of teak side table do you make?

We make round and square accent tables, bedside and sofa-side tables, C-shaped and laptop tables, drum and barrel tables, folding and stacking patio tables, and two- or three-piece nesting sets. Round and square accent tables are typically around 40–50 cm across and 50–60 cm high; nesting sets graduate down from the largest piece. Every dimension, shelf, drawer, slat spacing and finish is made to your drawings under OEM, or chosen from our ready catalogue designs under ODM.

Do teak side tables ship assembled or flat-pack?

Both. Many designs — especially wood-and-iron, round-base, folding patio and nesting tables — ship knock-down or flat-pack to cut freight and breakage and raise container density, while carved, drum and single-piece tables ship fully assembled. Folding and nesting tables stack to ship dense as one order value. We advise the best format per design when we quote.

What is the minimum order for wholesale teak side tables?

A trial or sample order can ship LCL (part-container) so you can approve the wood, finish and build first. For best wholesale pricing thereafter, one 20ft full container load (FCL) is our standard minimum, and we consolidate teak side tables with coffee tables, benches, garden furniture, other pieces and décor into a single mixed container.

Is your teak legally and sustainably sourced and compliant for US and EU import?

Yes. We document FSC chain-of-custody and Vriksh timber-legality, with ISO, SGS and SEDEX/SMETA audits, EUDR-ready due diligence and geolocation, US Lacey Act declaration support, UK Timber Regulation, CARB/TSCA-compliant finishes and ISPM-15 heat-treated export packing — so a teak accent SKU clears customs without a hold.
