Reclaimed headboards — salvaged old wood with character that cannot be faked.

A reclaimed headboard turns the wall behind the bed into the warmest surface in the room — mixed plank tones, old nail holes and weathered patina from timber that lived another life first. We re-mill and rebuild genuine salvaged wood into headboard panels in Jodhpur, structurally sound and in international widths, shipped from a single trial order up to repeat container volumes.

Why reclaimed for a headboard

The one surface a bedroom actually reads.

A headboard is the focal panel of a bed — the piece a guest or customer looks straight at — so its material carries the whole mood of the room. Reclaimed wood answers that better than almost anything. Every board has a past — a beam, a door, a floor — and a reclaimed headboard wears that past openly: mixed plank tones, old nail holes, saw and tool marks, and a soft patina that only decades of use can produce. It anchors farmhouse, rustic, industrial, coastal and wabi-sabi interiors, and it reads as warm, grounded and genuinely authentic in a way distressed new wood never quite matches. Because each salvaged board is unique, every panel is one of a kind — the individuality designers and premium retail buyers prize. It is also the strongest sustainability story we offer: the timber is given a second life, no new tree is felled, and old wood stays out of the waste stream. We keep the aged face and rebuild the structure behind it, so the panel looks a century old and handles like new manufacture.

Because salvaged boards vary, tone and marks differ between panels, so we recommend approving a physical sample before production. Panel & build options

Solid plank, panelled, slatted or reclaimed-and-iron framed; horizontal or vertical plank layout; tall statement or low rustic proportions. Supplied as headboard-only panels or coordinated with a matching bed and bedroom range.

Mounting

Wall-mount with a concealed French-cleat or bracket system, or bed-fixing with standard strut bolts and adjustable legs to match most frame heights. Tell us the mounting method and we engineer the fixing and backing to suit.

Finishes

Natural sealed, clear matte, lightly whitewashed or waxed tones that keep the aged surface visible — in CARB / TSCA Title VI formaldehyde-compliant formulations. The patina is preserved, not sanded away.

Import-ready compliance

Salvaged timber, fully documented.

Reclaimed wood is a sustainability asset and we document it to match. Every reclaimed headboard ships with FSC chain-of-custody on request, Vriksh timber-legality verification, and EUDR-ready geolocation and deforestation-free due diligence — salvaged stock supports a strong deforestation-free position because the timber is reclaimed rather than newly felled. We provide US Lacey Act declaration support, UK Timber Regulation coverage and CARB / TSCA formaldehyde-compliant finishes, with social and quality assurance under SEDEX / SMETA, ISO and SGS inspection, and ISPM-15 heat-treated export packing. Certificate references go directly to serious buyers — never published. Your eco story and your customs file are built on the same evidence.

Care & durability

Old surface, new structure, long life.

A reclaimed headboard is built to keep its character while standing up to real use. We re-mill and kiln-dry salvaged timber to a stable moisture content, strip out old fixings and weak sections, and rebuild the panel with fresh reinforced joinery and a sound backing, so the structure is sturdy for decades even though the face looks a century old. In use, dust with a soft dry cloth and wipe with a barely damp one; avoid soaking and harsh solvents, which can lift the aged patina you paid for. A waxed or oiled finish can be refreshed once or twice a year to feed the grain. The marks, tonal shifts and minor surface irregularities are the point of the panel — they are preserved deliberately, not flaws to be corrected. Full care and finish guidance ships with every order so your retail and hospitality customers get consistent advice. Questions buyers ask

Reclaimed headboard sourcing, answered.

Is your reclaimed headboard genuinely salvaged, or distressed new wood?

It is genuinely salvaged — old timber reclaimed from retired structures, doors, joinery and boards, then re-milled and rebuilt into a headboard panel. The nail holes, saw marks, tonal shifts and patina are the wood's real history, not a factory-applied distress. If a buyer prefers the look at lower cost we can supply distressed new timber instead, and we always state on the spec which one you are ordering.

Do your reclaimed headboards wall-mount or fix to the bed?

Both. We build headboard-only panels with a French-cleat or bracket system for wall mounting, and bed-fixing versions with standard strut bolts and adjustable legs to match most frame heights. Tell us your mounting method and mattress width and we engineer the fixing to suit; contract and hotel projects are built to your exact drawing.

What widths do reclaimed headboards come in?

We build to international mattress widths — US Twin, Full, Queen, King and Cal King; UK Single, Double, King and Super King; and EU 140, 160 and 180 cm. Panel height, plank layout and finish are all specifiable, so a tall statement headboard and a low rustic panel both start from the same standard widths.

Are reclaimed headboards strong enough for hotel and contract use?

Yes. We re-mill and kiln-dry salvaged timber to a stable moisture content, strip out old fixings and weak sections, and rebuild the panel with fresh reinforced joinery and a sound backing. The aged surface is preserved while the structure performs like new manufacture — important for the daily handling a hospitality headboard takes.

What is the sustainability story I can give my customers?

A reclaimed headboard gives salvaged timber a second life — no new tree is felled for the panel and old wood is kept out of the waste stream. It is one of the most genuinely sustainable furniture materials there is, and it pairs with our FSC chain-of-custody, Vriksh timber-legality and EUDR-ready documentation, so your eco story and your customs file rest on the same evidence.

Can you make reclaimed headboards to our own design and brand?

Yes. We work as ODM (our catalogue panels) and OEM (your drawings, plank layouts, heights, finishes and private-label or retail-ready packaging), including reclaimed-and-iron industrial panels and headboards that coordinate with a matching rustic or farmhouse bedroom range.
