Wrought iron dressers, hand-forged in Jodhpur — built for export.
A forged-iron frame under solid-wood drawers — the industrial, loft and farmhouse dresser buyers know from the Jodhpur cluster. We manufacture it for importers, retailers, private-label brands and hospitality buyers worldwide, assembled or flat-pack, fully documented for US and EU customs.
Steel strength, real wood warmth — the case good Jodhpur is known for.
The wrought iron dresser is the piece that put Jodhpur on export shelves: a hand-forged iron frame carrying solid-wood drawers. Wrought iron is low-carbon iron worked hot — hammered, drawn, bent and welded by hand — so each frame has the density and slight irregularity of genuine forging, not the hollow lightness of tube steel. That gives a dresser the one thing a bedroom and a hotel room both demand: a base that stays square and takes years of opening and closing without racking.
Paired with a mango, acacia, sheesham or reclaimed-wood carcass, it reads as industrial under a raw or black-powder-coat frame, or as farmhouse and vintage under an antique or two-tone finish. One construction, a shelf of distinct looks — which is why it is one of the most repeatable dresser lines an importer can carry, and an easy anchor for an industrial or loft bedroom range.
The wrought iron dresser, your way.
Forged frame, solid drawers
Hand-forged iron frame bolted to a solid-wood carcass, with doweled or dovetailed drawer boxes on smooth wooden or metal runners. Your choice of mango, acacia, sheesham or reclaimed timber — a genuine solid-wood component, not a veneer or panel look-alike.
Finishes that define the range
Baked powder coat in black, graphite or custom RAL colour over a zinc-rich primer; raw or hand-waxed iron for the industrial look; antique and distressed metal. Wood in natural oil, dark walnut, espresso, whitewash or two-tone — all wood finishes specified CARB / TSCA Title VI formaldehyde-compliant on request.
Flat-pack or assembled
Knockdown / flat-pack (RTA) with removable tops and bolt-together frames to cut freight and breakage and fill the container tighter, or showroom-ready assembled. ISPM-15 heat-treated packing; retail-ready and Amazon-FBA-ready cartons on request.

Built for the loft bedroom, the hallway and the boutique hotel.
The industrial dresser is a core line for retailers and online sellers chasing the loft, warehouse and modern-farmhouse looks, and the forged frame gives contract buyers the durability a hotel or serviced-apartment floor needs. Pair an iron-and-wood double dresser with matching nightstands and a tallboy to sell the complete industrial bedroom set in one finish, or mix it into a container alongside mango, acacia and reclaimed-wood pieces across the full solid wood dresser collection. For the metalwork itself — forging, finishes, rust control and wood pairings across every product type — see our wrought iron furniture material guide.
Iron-and-wood dressers that clear customs on arrival.
A wrought iron dresser is still a timber case good in the eyes of customs, so the wood component carries the full compliance burden — and we document it accordingly. We supply FSC chain-of-custody and Vriksh timber-legality, are EUDR-ready with geolocated, deforestation-free due diligence, and support US Lacey Act declarations, UK Timber Regulation and CARB / TSCA finishes, with CITES-compliant handling of sheesham and SEDEX / SMETA social audit behind the factory. Metalwork is third-party inspectable under SGS. Certificate numbers are shared directly with serious buyers on request.

How wrought iron dressers hold up — and how to keep them selling.
A wrought iron dresser is an indoor piece, and in normal interior use it asks for very little. The frame's factory finish — a baked powder coat over zinc-rich primer, or a sealed wax or lacquer for the raw look — holds indefinitely; just keep the piece dry, wipe spills promptly and touch up any chip to the metal before it can mark. Dust the frame with a soft dry cloth and avoid abrasive pads that scratch the coat. The solid-wood drawers move slightly with humidity like all real timber, so our dressers are kiln-dried and conditioned to withstand sea-freight and varied destination climates; feed oiled or waxed wood with a suitable wood wax two to four times a year, while lacquered surfaces need only regular dusting. Flat-pack units arrive with fittings, a hex key and clear assembly guidance for retail or end customers, and we can supply matching touch-up finish for both metal and wood with each order.
What buyers ask before they order.
What is a wrought iron dresser?
A wrought iron dresser is a chest of drawers built on a hand-forged iron frame with solid-wood drawer fronts, tops and runners. The iron carries the load and gives the piece its industrial, loft and vintage look, while the timber — usually mango, acacia, sheesham or reclaimed wood — supplies the warmth and the genuine solid-wood component buyers expect. It is the signature wood-and-metal case good of the Jodhpur cluster, and it reads as industrial or farmhouse depending on the finish you specify.
Are wrought iron dressers sturdy?
Yes — the forged-iron frame is the strongest base you can put under a dresser. Low-carbon iron worked hot is tough and rigid rather than brittle, so a wrought iron dresser resists racking and holds square through years of commercial handling in bedrooms, hallways and hotel rooms. We bolt the frame to a solid-wood carcass with doweled or dovetailed drawer boxes on smooth wooden or metal runners, so the drawers run true even under daily use.
How do you stop a wrought iron dresser from rusting?
Rust control starts at the factory. Bare steel is cleaned and degreased, given a phosphate or zinc-rich primer, then sealed with either a baked powder coat or a hand-applied wax or lacquer for the raw-industrial look. A dresser is an indoor piece, so in normal interior use the finish holds indefinitely — keep it dry, wipe spills promptly and touch up any chips. We can supply matching touch-up finish and full finish specifications with each order.
What is the minimum order for wrought iron dressers?
A trial or sample order can ship LCL (part container) so you can approve the forging, finish and wood before committing. For best wholesale pricing thereafter, one 20ft full container load (FCL) is our standard minimum, and we consolidate wrought iron dressers with nightstands, chests, console tables and other categories into a single mixed container. Typical lead time is 30–45 days, with urgent orders at a premium.
Can wrought iron dressers be shipped flat-pack?
Yes, and it is how we recommend shipping them. Iron is dense, so freight matters: we engineer most dressers as knockdown / flat-pack / RTA with removable wood tops and bolt-together frames, which lowers breakage and maximises container density. This is ideal for large importers and online sellers, including Amazon-FBA-ready packaging. Fully assembled, showroom-ready construction is also available where you prefer it.
Can you make wrought iron dressers to our own design or private label?
Yes. We are both ODM (our ready catalogue designs) and OEM — we forge and build to your drawings, dimensions, drawer counts, wood choice, finish and powder-coat colour, including custom CNC and metal fabrication, bespoke hardware and branded or retail-ready packaging.
Send a reference or your own drawing — we quote FOB/CIF with MOQ and lead time.
Sample first on LCL, approve the forging, wood and finish, then scale to full containers on a 30–45 day lead. Compare woods and styles across the full dresser range or request a sample wrought iron dresser to assess the build in person.
