Vintage armchairs, handcrafted in Jodhpur — wholesale for importers, retailers and hospitality.
Reclaimed and solid-wood frames, distressed antique finishes, aged leather and hand-forged iron — club, wingback and barrel chairs with patina that looks earned, not printed. Manufacturer-direct, compliance-documented and container-ready, from a trial order up.
Vintage is patina, not pastiche — and it anchors a lobby, a lounge and a retail floor alike.
A vintage armchair sells because it arrives with a story: weathered wood, a hand-rubbed stain, cognac leather worn soft and the quiet weight of hand-forged iron. It grounds a living room, a hotel lobby, a reading corner or a boutique floor, and it photographs with character for catalogue and marketplace listings. We build it as a genuine solid-wood product — often from reclaimed timber — so the age is authentic and the chair holds up to commercial sitting rather than looking tired within a season. Choose a ready silhouette from our catalogue or hand us your own reference: we build, distress, upholster, finish and pack it to your market's standard.
What goes into a vintage armchair that ages well instead of wearing out.
Reclaimed & solid-wood frames
Genuine reclaimed/old wood for authentic grain and patina, or solid sheesham, mango and acacia distressed by hand — kiln-dried, mortise-and-tenon joined and built to carry weight in a lobby or café, not just a showroom.
Reclaimed wood for vintage furnitureAged leather & upholstery
Full-grain, buffalo and aniline leathers in cognac, tan and cracked-saddle tones, or cotton and linen on a worn-club back — stitched over a solid-wood seat frame rather than a particleboard shell, so the cushion wears in instead of out.
Leather for vintage seatingHand-forged iron & brass
Weathered wrought-iron legs, straps and arms and aged-brass studs and caps extend the range into industrial-vintage club chairs, all on the same solid-wood core — one compliant craft story, several silhouettes.
Wrought iron for industrial-vintage framesClassic forms we build most often: tight-back club and Chesterfield-style armchairs, high-sided wingbacks, rounded barrel chairs, colonial and campaign-style occasional chairs, and rugged industrial wood-and-iron lounge chairs. Every one can be scaled, re-proportioned or re-covered to your drawings.
Indicative specs — every dimension, finish and leather is made to your order.
Figures below are typical ranges for reference. We manufacture to your exact drawings and market requirements, so seat height, frame wood, distress level, leather and finish are all specified at the quote stage. One vintage armchair, every channel that asks for character.
Retail, online & private label
Patinated wood and aged cognac leather photograph with depth for marketplace and catalogue listings, and read as premium on a showroom floor. We produce your range under your own brand with retail-ready or Amazon-FBA packaging, and consolidate vintage armchairs with décor and other seating into one container. Private-label armchair manufacturing keeps the look yours.
Hospitality, hotel & contract
A vintage club or wingback reads as warm and established in lobbies, guest rooms, bars, cafés and reading lounges — and because the frame is genuine solid or reclaimed wood with QC on every piece, it holds up to commercial use. Hospitality & contract seating is built and inspected for the floor, not just the shelf.
Paperwork your customs broker will thank you for — and a chair that keeps selling.
Import-ready on every container
Our sheesham, mango and reclaimed-wood vintage armchairs ship with FSC chain-of-custody, Vriksh timber-legality and CITES-compliant handling of Dalbergia sissoo, backed by ISO, SGS and SEDEX / SMETA audits. We are EUDR-ready with geolocation and deforestation-free due diligence, and we support US Lacey Act declarations, UK Timber Regulation, CARB / TSCA finishes and ISPM-15 export packing — so your seating clears the port instead of sitting in it. See every certification we hold.
Care & longevity
Solid and reclaimed wood move with climate; a stable indoor environment and a soft dry wipe keep frames sound, while an occasional wood wax feeds the distressed finish and deepens the patina. Aged leather lasts longest with periodic conditioning, no harsh cleaners and a spot out of constant direct sun; cotton and linen covers are spot-cleaned per the care label. We finish with CARB / TSCA-compliant lacquers chosen for wear and share care and assembly guidance with every order, so your buyers keep the chair selling for years.
Vintage armchairs — wholesale & export FAQ
What defines a vintage armchair?
A vintage armchair is defined by aged materials and honest wear rather than one fixed shape. Ours pair solid or reclaimed-wood frames with distressed, antique and hand-rubbed finishes, and usually add worn or aniline leather, hand-forged wrought iron and aged-brass detailing. Buyers recognise it by visible patina, classic club, wingback and barrel silhouettes, a cognac or cracked-saddle leather tone, and an unmistakably lived-in, hand-crafted feel — built, not printed.
What materials are your vintage armchairs made from?
Every armchair carries at least one solid-wood component. Frames are solid sheesham (Indian rosewood), mango or acacia, or genuine reclaimed/old wood for authentic grain and patina; upholstery is aged full-grain or buffalo leather, cotton and linen; and detailing includes hand-forged wrought iron and aged brass. We do not supply plywood-only or particleboard seating — the frame is real solid wood, which is why these chairs survive hotel-lobby and café use rather than just a photoshoot.
What is the minimum order for wholesale vintage armchairs?
A trial or sample order can ship LCL (part-container) so you can approve the wood, finish and leather first. For best wholesale pricing thereafter, one 20ft full container load (FCL) is our standard minimum, and we consolidate vintage armchairs with other armchairs, sofas, benches and décor into a single mixed container.
Can you make vintage armchairs to our own design or private label?
Yes. We work as both ODM (our catalogue designs) and OEM — manufacturing to your drawings, dimensions, finish and leather, with custom CNC detailing, your branding and retail-ready, Amazon-FBA-ready or gift packaging. Send a reference image or spec and we prototype to it before you commit to a run.
How is the vintage, distressed look achieved?
It is built by hand, not printed. Reclaimed timber brings its own age; on new solid wood our craftsmen distress edges, hand-rub and layer stains and waxes to create depth and worn patina, then finish with CARB / TSCA Title VI formaldehyde-compliant lacquers chosen for wear. Leather is selected and treated to read aged yet durable, and iron and brass are given a weathered patina.
Are your vintage armchairs compliant for US and EU import?
Yes. We document FSC chain-of-custody, Vriksh timber-legality and CITES-compliant handling of Dalbergia sissoo (sheesham), backed by ISO, SGS and SEDEX / SMETA audits. We are EUDR-ready with geolocation and deforestation-free due diligence, and we support US Lacey Act declarations, UK Timber Regulation, CARB / TSCA finishes and ISPM-15 export packing.
