Brass wardrobes — solid-wood bodies dressed in warm, hand-finished brass.

A wardrobe is the largest piece in most bedrooms, so brass is where it earns its presence — clad doors, geometric inlay, strapping and cast handles that catch the light against a solid-wood body. We build these in Jodhpur on kiln-dried sheesham, mango and acacia frames, hand-finished to your brass tone and tier, in your market's sizes, and ship from a single trial order up to repeat container volumes.

Why brass on a wardrobe

Warmth where the eye lands, strength where the hand lands.

Brass — an alloy of copper and zinc, worked for generations in the Moradabad metal cluster — gives a wardrobe a glow that painted steel or plain wood cannot fake. On a piece this size, it reads as quietly expensive: sheet-brass clad over the doors, a geometric inlay set flush into the fronts, slim strapping and corner caps, or solid cast handles, knobs and splayed legs. Because the structure is solid wood — not panel or plywood — the cabinet carries the weight of full-length hanging and heavy drawers, while the brass does the decorative and tactile work on the surfaces people see and touch every day. Brass is dense and corrosion-resistant, so handles and pulls outlast the life of the wardrobe and can be left to patina or held bright under lacquer. It is an indoor material by intent, and it is the detail that turns a practical storage cabinet into the statement piece of a premium or boutique-hotel bedroom.

Packing & shipping

Knockdown / flat-pack construction with brass hardware wrapped and boxed separately cuts breakage and freight; carton, retail-ready, branded or Amazon-FBA-ready packaging. ISPM-15 heat-treated timber packing, FOB or CIF from Mundra / Nhava Sheva.

Import-ready compliance

Wood paperwork and metalware assurance in one container.

A brass wardrobe is a two-material product, so we document both sides. The solid-wood body ships with FSC chain-of-custody and Vriksh timber-legality on request, with CITES-compliant handling of sheesham, and is EUDR-ready with geolocation and deforestation-free due diligence — plus US Lacey Act declaration support, UK Timber Regulation coverage and CARB / TSCA formaldehyde-compliant finishes. The brass components are produced under ISO quality management with SGS third-party inspection and SEDEX / SMETA ethical audit available. Timber packaging is ISPM-15 heat-treated. Certificate references go directly to serious buyers — never published. The result is a statement bedroom piece that clears customs as cleanly as it photographs.

Care & durability

Brass that ages well, wood that holds its shape.

The brass on a wardrobe needs very little. A lacquered handle, inlay or clad door stays bright with a dry, soft cloth; an unlacquered surface can be left to mellow into a warm patina or brought back with an occasional proprietary brass polish — never abrasive pads, which scratch the finish. Keep liquids off the metal and wipe up spills promptly. The solid-wood body is kiln-dried to reduce movement and finished to resist everyday wear; dust it and treat the timber with a wax or oil as recommended, and keep the wardrobe out of direct heat and damp so doors and drawers run true. Because brass resists corrosion, the hardware tolerates humid coastal and tropical rooms better than painted steel, which makes these wardrobes well suited to resort and boutique-hotel use. Full care and finish guidance ships with every order so your retail and hospitality customers get consistent advice.

Questions buyers ask

Brass wardrobe sourcing, answered.

Are your brass wardrobes solid brass or brass-accented wood?

Almost every brass wardrobe is a solid-wood cabinet dressed in brass — a kiln-dried sheesham, mango or acacia body with brass accents: sheet-brass cladding over doors or drawer fronts, geometric brass inlay, brass strapping and corners, or solid cast brass handles, knobs and legs. A full wardrobe is rarely made entirely of brass because the weight and cost would be impractical, so brass is used where it is seen and touched. We tell you exactly which components are solid brass and which are brass-plated, and quote each tier accordingly.

Will the brass on a wardrobe tarnish?

Bare brass develops a warm living patina that many buyers specifically want. Where you need it held bright, we apply a clear lacquer that seals the surface so handles, inlay and cladding stay polished with only a dry dust. Antique and brushed finishes are aged on purpose, so they look consistent from day one and age gracefully. We match the brass tone and sheen to your collection and finish any solid-wood body to coordinate.

What sizes and configurations do you make brass wardrobes in?

We build two-, three- and four-door wardrobes, sliding-door and hinged-door formats, and compact single-door armoires, typically from about 90 to 200 cm wide and 180 to 220 cm tall. Interiors are configured to your market — hanging rails, adjustable shelves, drawer banks, shoe racks and mirror-backed doors. Every dimension is a starting point; we manufacture to your exact drawing for boutique-hotel and contract bedroom projects.

Do brass wardrobes ship assembled or flat-pack?

Both. We produce fully assembled wardrobes and knockdown / flat-pack (RTA) wardrobes with the brass hardware and inlay protected for transit. Flat-pack lowers freight cost and breakage and raises container density, which is why most importers and online sellers choose it for a large item like a wardrobe. Brass handles and feet are wrapped and boxed separately where needed.

What is your minimum order for brass wardrobes?

A trial wardrobe can ship LCL so you can assess the wood, the brass tier and the finish before committing. For best wholesale pricing thereafter, one 20ft full container load is our standard minimum, and we consolidate brass wardrobes with matching nightstands, dressers, mirrors and other bedroom pieces into a single mixed, compliance-documented container.

Can you manufacture brass wardrobes to our own design and private label?

Yes. We work as ODM (our catalogue designs) and OEM — we manufacture to your drawings, dimensions, brass inlay patterns, finishes and private-label or retail-ready packaging, including custom CNC carving on the wood body and bespoke cast-brass hardware produced as a coordinated bedroom collection.
