Industrial trunks — solid wood bound in iron, built for export.
Solid sheesham, mango and reclaimed-wood chests wrapped in powder-coated wrought-iron straps, rivets and lock plates — the loft-and-warehouse storage trunk importers, hospitality buyers and retailers keep asking for. Manufacturer-direct, compliance-documented, and packed to fill the container.
What makes a trunk "industrial".
The industrial trunk is defined by exposed structure over a solid-wood box: wrought-iron strapping and corner brackets, riveted bands, an iron hasp or lock plate, drop handles, and often a welded iron base, stand or castors. The timber is usually reclaimed or distressed for a warehouse-aged read; the steel is gauged to carry a loaded chest and finished matt black, gunmetal, antique bronze or raw-sealed. It is a high-interest, high-margin storage-and-surface piece that anchors a lounge, a loft bedroom, a boutique hotel room or a restaurant. We build it as a genuine solid-wood product — real hardwood boards, a sealed interior and iron that is welded, not glued — not a veneer shell with decorative bands.

Wrought-iron strapping
Hand-forged straps, corner brackets, riveted bands and lock plates over solid wood — the structural, warehouse-aged backbone of the industrial look.
About our wood & metal work
Reclaimed-wood bodies
Deforestation-free old wood with genuine weathered grain — the authentic, sustainable story that sells the industrial trunk to buyers.
About reclaimed wood
Sheesham & mango carcasses
Dense, grain-rich Indian rosewood or lighter, finish-friendly mango — the solid-wood box that gives the trunk its weight and warmth.
About sheesham woodWhy the iron-bound trunk sells.
The industrial trunk does two jobs in one footprint — closed storage and a coffee-table, end-of-bed or luggage-bench surface — in a silhouette that reads as travelled and collected. It travels well across US and EU retail, hospitality and online channels because it looks premium and authentic while staying freight-efficient: the rectangular, stackable box loads a container densely, so cost per piece stays low. The iron carries the character and the solid-wood body carries the value and the margin.
For hospitality and contract fit-outs, we gauge the steel to your load and durability needs and build to commercial-use expectations. For retailers and online sellers, we pack with retail-ready, gift or Amazon-FBA-ready packaging so trunks arrive shelf- or dropship-ready.

Your trunk, your iron, your brand.
We build from our own catalogue (ODM) and to your drawings (OEM) — custom sizes, linings, lid action, iron profile, strap pattern and branded hardware, finished with retail-ready, gift or Amazon-FBA-ready packaging. Custom CNC and hand-work let us match a reference piece or develop a signature industrial line for your range. Mix trunk styles and sizes within one order — all built, finished and QC-checked under one roof and one set of export papers.
Built to arrive, and to last.
Solid-wood trunks are kiln-dried to export moisture levels and finished to take everyday handling. Advise your customers to keep trunks out of direct heat and damp, wipe the wood with a dry or lightly oiled cloth, and refresh natural-oil finishes occasionally. The powder-coated iron needs only a dry wipe; avoid abrasive cleaners that mar the coating. For shipment, every trunk is corner-protected and ISPM-15 heat-treated-packed, with the iron base bolted on for safe transit.
Iron-bound trunks that clear customs, not sit at the port.
Industrial trunks are often built in sheesham and reclaimed wood — exactly the timbers EU and US import rules scrutinise. Sheesham is a Dalbergia species under CITES handling, and squarely within the EU Deforestation Regulation. We handle that before you ask: geolocated, deforestation-free, Vriksh-verified timber with FSC chain-of-custody, Lacey Act declaration support and UK Timber Regulation coverage, documented per shipment. Wood finishes meet CARB / TSCA norms and packing is ISPM-15 heat-treated.
| Requirement | Our standard |

| US market | Lacey Act support · CARB / TSCA finishes |
| Social audit | SEDEX / SMETA · ISO · SGS inspection |

Industrial trunk sourcing questions, answered.
What is an industrial trunk?
An industrial trunk is a storage chest where a solid-wood carcass — sheesham, mango, acacia or reclaimed/old wood — is wrapped in exposed wrought-iron strapping, corner brackets, riveted bands and an iron lock plate or hasp. The look is honest, utilitarian and warehouse-aged: visible rivets, powder-coated or raw-sealed steel over timber, often on a riveted iron base or castors. Every unit carries at least one solid-wood component; we do not supply plywood-only or panel trunks.
What is the minimum order for industrial trunks?
A trial or sample order can ship LCL (part-container) so you approve the wood, iron finish and build first. For best wholesale pricing thereafter, one 20ft full container load is our standard minimum, and because trunks stack and nest we readily consolidate them with other furniture, metalware and décor into a single mixed container.
Can industrial trunks ship flat-pack to save freight?
The box body ships assembled because it is a sealed storage shell, but the iron base, castors and any stand bolt on separately, and trunks nest and stack tightly inside a container — so freight cost per piece stays low. Where a design allows a knockdown base or detachable legs, we build it that way to raise container density further.
Are your industrial trunks compliant for import into the US and EU?
Yes. We document FSC chain-of-custody, Vriksh timber-legality and CITES-compliant handling of sheesham, with ISO, SGS and SEDEX/SMETA audits. We are EUDR-ready with geolocation and deforestation-free due diligence, and we support US Lacey Act declarations, UK Timber Regulation, CARB/TSCA finishes and ISPM-15 heat-treated export packing.
What iron and wood finishes are available on an industrial trunk?
Iron is powder-coated matt black, antique bronze, gunmetal or raw sealed; wood is natural, distressed/aged, stained, walnut, honey or two-tone. All wood finishes are CARB/TSCA Title VI formaldehyde-compliant, and every material and finish is confirmed at the quote stage.
Can you make industrial trunks to our own size, lining or brand?
Yes — we work as both ODM (our catalogue designs) and OEM, manufacturing to your drawings, dimensions, lining, hardware and iron profile, with private-label branding and retail-ready, gift or Amazon-FBA-ready packaging. Send a reference image or spec and we prototype to it.
