Coastal trunks — whitewashed, weathered and bound for the shore.
Light, sea-worn storage trunks in whitewash, driftwood grey and soft sea-blue, with rope handles and aged hardware over a solid-wood carcass. One compliant, container-ready source for a bestselling coastal and nautical category.
The storage piece that makes a room feel like the shore.
Coastal is a finish and a feeling, not a wood. Take a solid-wood trunk and wash it in whitewash, sand, driftwood grey or a faded sea-blue; distress the edges so paint breaks over the grain; swap iron strapping for rope or jute handles and a brushed, salt-aged patina — and the same honest box now reads breezy, relaxed and unmistakably seaside. It is the trunk that beach houses, Hamptons schemes and nautical retail reach for, because it stores blankets, games and toys while doubling as a coffee table or end-of-bed bench.
Living & coffee
Flat-lid whitewashed coffee trunks that hold throws and double as a relaxed surface.
Bedroom
End-of-bed blanket boxes in sand or sea-blue for linens in a guest or holiday room.
Entryway & mudroom
Hall trunks and benches for towels, flip-flops and everyday beach-house clutter.
Resort & holiday let
Luggage-bench and room trunks built for commercial, high-turnover coastal interiors.
A light, open grain that takes a whitewash beautifully.
The coastal look lives or dies on the base wood. We build these trunks on timbers whose grain opens up under a thin, broken paint — so the finish looks sun-bleached rather than simply painted.

Mango wood
Pale, open-grained and takes whitewash and sand tones evenly — the natural base for a bright coastal finish.

Reclaimed old wood
Naturally weathered planks that already read as driftwood — the deforestation-free hero for a worn, seaside grey.

Rope, jute & aged iron
Rope and jute handles with salt-aged iron or brushed-brass corners — the nautical hardware that sets the style.

Your coastal line, your brand, your palette.
We build from our own catalogue (ODM) and to your drawings (OEM) — custom sizes, linings, rope or leather handles, hinges and locks, matched to a paint swatch you send us. Branded hardware and retail-ready, Amazon-FBA-ready or gift packaging finish the SKU. Custom CNC and hand-work let us develop a signature coastal collection exclusive to your range.
Built for humidity, handling and the shore.
Solid-wood coastal trunks are kiln-dried to export moisture levels and sealed under lacquer so the whitewash resists humidity and everyday use. Advise customers to wipe with a dry or lightly damp cloth, avoid standing water, and keep trunks away from direct heat. Rope handles brush clean; salt-aged iron and brass need only a dry wipe to hold their patina. For shipment, every trunk is ISPM-15 heat-treated-packed and corner-protected, with flat-pack options to cut breakage further.
Timber-legal coastal trunks that clear customs cleanly.
Coastal trunks are often built from reclaimed and solid wood — exactly the timbers that EU and US import rules scrutinise. We document the chain before you ask, so your container moves while others wait at the port.

What buyers ask before they order.
What makes a trunk "coastal" and what finishes do you use?
A coastal trunk reads light, airy and sea-worn. We build it from solid mango, acacia or reclaimed wood, then finish it in whitewash, driftwood grey, sand or soft sea-blue with a distressed, lightly weathered surface. Rope or jute handles, aged iron or brushed-brass hardware and a matt lacquer top-coat complete the look — all using CARB / TSCA Title VI formaldehyde-compliant coatings.
What is the minimum order for coastal trunks?
A trial or sample order can ship LCL (part-container) so you can approve the finish and build first. For best wholesale pricing thereafter, one 20ft full container load is our standard minimum. Coastal trunks stack and nest well, so we often consolidate them with other trunks, furniture and décor into a single mixed container.
Can you match a specific coastal paint colour or custom size?
Yes. We manufacture to your drawings as OEM — your dimensions, lining, rope or leather handles, hinge and lock style, plus a matched whitewash, sand, grey or sea-blue to a reference swatch. We also build from our own catalogue (ODM) and add private-label branding and retail-ready or Amazon-FBA packaging.
Are coastal trunks suitable for resorts and holiday-let interiors?
Yes. Coastal trunks are a staple of beach-house, Hamptons and nautical interiors and are built for commercial, high-turnover hospitality use — luggage benches, blanket boxes and coffee-table trunks for resorts, boutique hotels and holiday lets. They ship assembled or flat-pack to cut freight and breakage.
Are your coastal trunks compliant for import into the US and EU?
Yes. We document FSC chain-of-custody, Vriksh timber-legality and CITES-compliant handling of sheesham, with EUDR geolocation due diligence, US Lacey Act declaration support, UK Timber Regulation and ISPM-15 heat-treated export packing.
How do you keep a whitewashed finish looking good in a damp, coastal setting?
Our coastal trunks are kiln-dried to export moisture levels and sealed under a matt lacquer that resists humidity and everyday handling. Advise customers to wipe with a dry or lightly damp cloth, avoid standing water, and keep trunks off direct heat. Iron and brass fittings need only a dry wipe to hold their aged patina.
