The character of an antique — without the auction price.
A vintage sideboard is a long, low buffet cabinet that looks like it has lived a life: a worn patina, rubbed-back paint, uneven grain, old nail holes and aged metalwork. It brings instant warmth and story to a dining room, living room, hallway or café, which is why the look sells across retail, hospitality and online channels. We recreate it honestly in Jodhpur — either from genuine reclaimed timber salvaged from old structures and doors, or from new solid wood that we hand-distress and antique — so your buyers get the heritage aesthetic on a carcass built to ship, stock and use for years.
The vintage signatures
Distressed and rubbed-back paint, worn edges and worm-hole detail, mixed timber tones, old-door and salvaged-panel fronts, antique brass or black-iron handles, and a hand-applied patina no two pieces share.
Why the wood matters
Reclaimed sheesham and teak already carry decades of colour, movement and density, so the age is real, not printed. Where we build in new solid wood, dovetailed drawers and mortise-and-tenon framing give the piece the structure to earn a true patina over time.
Where buyers place it
Dining buffets and drinks cabinets, living-room media and credenza units, entryway and hallway consoles, boutique-retail and café back-counters, and boutique-hotel reception and room storage. One platform, re-proportioned per room.
Two honest routes to a vintage look.
The vintage aesthetic can be built from genuine old wood or hand-worked onto new solid wood. We offer both in-house, so a buyer can choose authentic one-of-a-kind character or a consistent, repeatable range — or mix both across a single container.

Documented timber, dense containers.
A vintage sideboard is a solid-wood piece, so timber legality decides whether your container clears. We ship each one with FSC chain-of-custody, Vriksh verification and CITES-compliant sheesham handling, EUDR-ready geolocation and deforestation-free due diligence — and because reclaimed wood reuses existing timber, it strengthens that sustainability story. Lacey Act, UKTR, CARB/TSCA and ISPM-15 are all covered. Knockdown construction with removable legs and bolt-on tops maximises how many units fit a 20ft load, which matters for a heavy, high-cube category.
Care & finish note
Solid and reclaimed wood lives and breathes with humidity, so we kiln-dry and treat timber to export moisture levels and seal every vintage sideboard with a protective wax or lacquer. We advise your retail and hospitality clients to keep pieces out of direct heat and sun, wipe with a dry or lightly damp cloth, re-wax natural patina surfaces periodically, and leave distressed and aged-metal detailing as-is to preserve character. Because reclaimed and hand-distressed pieces vary by design, we photograph and grade each range so your expectations and your end-customers' match. Care-and-assembly guidance ships with every order, and matching care labelling can be printed for retail-ready or branded packaging.
Vintage sideboard sourcing, answered.
What makes a sideboard vintage?
A vintage sideboard carries the character of an older piece — a lived-in patina, distressed or rubbed-back paint, visible grain, old nail holes, mixed timber tones and aged brass or iron hardware. We build that look two ways: in genuine reclaimed wood salvaged from old structures and doors, and in solid sheesham or mango finished with hand-distressing and antique staining. Either route gives you the warmth and story of an antique on a sturdy, export-ready carcass.
Do you use reclaimed wood or new wood for vintage sideboards?
Both. Reclaimed/old-wood sideboards reuse salvaged sheesham, teak and mixed hardwoods for authentic age, colour variation and sustainability — no two pieces identical. Solid-wood sideboards use new kiln-dried sheesham or mango, then hand-distressed, lime-washed, antiqued or over-painted to read vintage with consistent sizing for volume ranges. We advise which suits your price point and quantity.
What finishes and colours are available on vintage sideboards?
Natural oiled and waxed patina, antique and chestnut stains, rubbed-back and chalk-paint colours, lime-wash, multi-colour patchwork and hand-painted panels, plus distressing, worm-hole and edge-wear detailing. Over-painted colours and old-door fronts are popular for boho and retro ranges. All pigments and topcoats are CARB/TSCA formaldehyde-compliant.
What are standard vintage sideboard sizes and can you build to our drawings?
Common widths are 120, 140, 160 and 180 cm, around 40–45 cm deep and 75–90 cm high, with 2–4 doors or old-door fronts and 2–4 drawers. These are starting points — as an OEM manufacturer we re-size, re-configure the door-and-drawer layout, change leg styles and match a specific finish, hardware or private-label spec to your drawings.
What is the minimum order for vintage sideboards?
A trial or sample order can ship LCL (part-container). For best wholesale pricing thereafter, one 20ft full container load is our standard minimum, and we consolidate vintage sideboards with other furniture, metalware and décor into a single mixed container.
Are your vintage sideboards compliant for import into the US and EU?
Yes. We document FSC chain-of-custody, Vriksh timber-legality and CITES-compliant sheesham handling, and reclaimed wood supports EUDR-ready deforestation-free due diligence. We back US Lacey Act declarations, UK Timber Regulation, CARB/TSCA finishes and ISPM-15 export packing.
