Vintage Side Tables — Hand-Aged Solid Wood, Built for Export

The vintage side table sells on character: weathered timber, soft patina and a story of age. We manufacture it in Jodhpur from genuine reclaimed wood, distressed mango and solid sheesham — hand-finished to read as decades old, documented for timber legality, and freight-smart by the container.

Vintage side table in hand-aged reclaimed wood with a distressed antique finish

What it is

A side table that looks like it has a past

A vintage side table is an accent piece built to feel found, not bought — a bedside, sofa-side or lamp table whose timber carries visible age, mellow colour and a worked, tactile surface. The style lives on authenticity: open grain, softened edges, the odd nail hole or saw mark, a wax-rubbed depth that cheap reproductions never achieve. Because the appeal is the material itself, a vintage table is only convincing when the wood and the aging are real. Printed laminate and photo-finish wraps give the game away in a photograph and on a showroom floor.

Every table we export carries at least one solid-wood component — we do not position as a plywood or panel supplier. The top and frame are solid timber, machined, filled and then aged by hand: distressed, limed, antiqued, lightly wire-brushed or wax-rubbed to your brief. Where a piece calls for metal, we add aged-iron or antique-brass detailing. The result is a genuine period look that holds up through years of retail and contract use, not a surface effect that rubs away.

Materials & properties

The woods — and why each one earns the vintage look

Reclaimed / old wood

The signature choice. Salvaged timber arrives already aged — authentic patina, grain movement, nail holes and tonal variation that no finish can fake. It also gives buyers a genuinely deforestation-free story to print on the label. Read the reclaimed wood material guide for sourcing and finish detail.

Mango wood

Open-grained, fast-grown and sustainable, mango takes distressed, antiqued and limed stains beautifully — the best value timber for a convincing aged look at container volume. See the mango wood range for tone and finish options.

Sheesham (Indian rosewood)

Dense, hard and dimensionally stable, with dramatic dark-to-golden grain that suits a richer antique finish. The premium top for a table handled daily. Our sheesham is CITES-compliant Dalbergia sissoo, Vriksh-verified and fully documented.

Acacia & aged metal

Acacia brings tight grain and strong scratch and moisture resistance for hard-used hospitality floors. Paired with aged-iron frames or antique-brass hardware, it carries the industrial-vintage and colonial-revival styling many buyers specify.

Teak, rosewood and pine are available on request for specific programs. Aging is set by you — from a light knock-back to a heavily weathered, barn-salvage patina — and locked at sample stage so every table in the container matches the one you photographed.

Use cases

Where vintage side tables sell

The aged accent table works across several channels at once, which is why it moves well in mixed containers:

  • Retail & chains — a high-character, high-margin accent that photographs with warmth and anchors a room set.
  • Online sellers & dropship — flat-pack, FBA-ready and branded packaging for Wayfair, Amazon and Etsy vintage and farmhouse programs.
  • Hospitality & contract — bedside and lounge tables for boutique hotels, cafés and bars where a lived-in look is part of the brand.
  • Interior designers & developers — specified into residential and fit-out schemes that need genuine aged material, not a reproduction wrap.
  • Private-label brands — your design and aging spec, your packaging, our factory.

Care

Care & longevity

Give your customers simple, correct guidance and the patina only improves:

  • Dust with a soft dry cloth; wipe spills promptly and never leave standing liquid on a waxed or oiled surface.
  • Refresh oil- or wax-finished tops periodically to feed the grain and deepen the aged tone; lacquered tops need only a damp-cloth wipe.
  • Keep away from direct heat, radiators and prolonged direct sun, which can lighten tone and stress solid wood.
  • Use coasters under glasses and planters — part of the vintage charm is an honestly worn surface, but standing water still marks it.
  • Re-tighten leg or frame fixings on knockdown units after assembly and once a season under heavy use.

Solid-wood tops move slightly with humidity — a normal trait of real timber, not a defect — and we can pre-condition finishes for dry or humid destination climates on request.

FAQ

Vintage side tables — buyer questions

What makes a side table "vintage" in your range?

The look comes from genuine material and hand-finishing, not print. We use reclaimed/old wood with its natural age, nail holes and patina, or new mango and sheesham distressed, limed, antiqued and wax-rubbed by hand so the piece reads as aged rather than brand-new. Aged-iron and antique-brass detailing complete the period feel.

Which woods do you use for vintage side tables?

Reclaimed/old wood is the signature choice for authentic age, backed by mango (which takes distressed and antique stains beautifully), solid sheesham (Indian rosewood) and acacia. Teak, rosewood and pine are available for specific programs. Every table carries at least one solid-wood component — we are not a plywood or panel supplier.

Do vintage side tables ship flat-pack?

Many do. Tables with detachable legs or iron bases ship knockdown (RTA) to cut freight and breakage and raise container density; one-piece and heavily carved reclaimed designs ship assembled. We advise the best format per design when we quote.

Are your vintage side tables compliant for import into the US and EU?

Yes. We document FSC chain-of-custody and Vriksh timber-legality, are EUDR-ready with geolocation and deforestation-free due diligence, and support US Lacey Act declarations, UK Timber Regulation, CARB / TSCA Title VI finishes and ISPM-15 heat-treated packing, with ISO, SGS and SEDEX / SMETA behind them. Reclaimed wood adds a genuinely deforestation-free story.

Can you make vintage side tables to our own design or private label?

Yes. We work ODM from our ready designs and OEM to your drawings — bespoke sizes, your chosen aging and distress level, custom CNC detailing, and branded, retail-ready or Amazon-FBA packaging for private-label and contract programs.

What is the minimum order and lead time?

A trial or sample order can ship LCL. For best competitive pricing we ask for one 20ft FCL thereafter, mixed with other categories in the same compliant container. Typical production is 30-45 days after sample approval; urgent orders can be expedited at a premium.
