Brass shoe racks, manufactured in India for export.
Warm, heavyweight brass on solid-wood or marble tiers — the entryway piece that lifts a hallway and sells as a statement. Tubular, spun and cast brass, hand-finished, flat-pack ready where it helps your freight, and fully import-compliant from a trial order to repeat container volumes.
Metal with weight and warmth, on a tier buyers actually use.
A brass shoe rack puts a non-ferrous copper-and-zinc alloy frame under everyday entryway storage — spun or cast legs and uprights, tubular rails, or solid-wood tiers finished with brass inlay, feet and pulls. The brass brings the heft and warm tone shoppers read as premium; the solid-wood or marble shelves carry the load and the grain story. We work the metal in Moradabad — India's historic brass city — and pair it with the sheesham, mango and reclaimed wood we manufacture in Jodhpur, so the full piece is built, finished and shipped through one compliant source rather than assembled from three vendors.
How the metal behaves — and why it earns its place by the door.
The entryway is a punishing spot: grit, damp soles, bags and knocks, day after day. Here is how brass holds up, and how to brief it for a range that sells on durability as much as looks.
| Property | What it means for a shoe rack |
|---|---|
| Composition | Copper + zinc alloy; non-ferrous, so it will not rust-bleed onto floors or walls like plated iron. |
| Weight & feel | Dense and substantial — a rack that stays put under load and reads as quality in the hand. |
| Corrosion resistance | Naturally corrosion-resistant indoors; develops a protective patina rather than flaking or pitting. |
| Surface behaviour | Takes a bright polish or a deliberate antique tone; patinas slowly unless sealed with lacquer. |
| Durability | Repairable and re-finishable — a scuffed frame can be dressed out and re-polished, not scrapped. |
| Hygiene | Brass surfaces wipe clean easily, useful where wet or muddy footwear is stored. |
| Sustainability | Fully and endlessly recyclable; much brass production uses recycled copper and zinc. |

Finishes matched to your sample
Polished for a bright, luxe entry; brushed or satin to hide fingerprints and read contemporary; antique or aged for a consistent vintage tone; a raw living finish left to patina; or clear-lacquered to resist tarnish. For high-traffic contract use we also plate in nickel, chrome, black or gunmetal. Every finish, tone and sheen is approved on a physical sample before we cut a container, so your production run matches what you signed off — request a brass finish sample to start.
Care & durability
Lacquered brass needs only a dry or barely-damp soft cloth — no abrasives or acidic cleaners, which strip the seal. Raw and living-finish brass deepens over time; a non-abrasive brass polish restores the shine, after which it can be re-lacquered. Wood tiers get a periodic wax or oil refresh on natural finishes; keep them out of standing water. Because brass is repairable, a damaged frame can almost always be dressed and re-finished — a genuine selling point over plated steel. Care and assembly guidance ships with flat-pack cartons.
Brass is a metal — but the container still has to clear.
The timber regimes do not apply to the brass itself, but most brass shoe racks carry a wood or marble component, and the whole consolidated load has to pass customs. We cover that end to end: third-party SGS inspection and SEDEX / SMETA audited production, ISO quality management, and ISPM-15 heat-treated export packing for any wood crating or wood-cored tier. Where a rack pairs brass with sheesham or mango, our FSC chain-of-custody, Vriksh timber-legality, CITES-compliant handling of Dalbergia sissoo and EUDR-ready geolocation and deforestation-free due diligence travel with it. We support US Lacey Act declarations and UK Timber Regulation, and apply CARB / TSCA-compliant finishes on wood.

Brass shoe rack sourcing, answered.
What is a brass shoe rack made of?
A brass shoe rack is built on a non-ferrous copper-and-zinc alloy frame — tubular, spun or sand-cast brass — usually paired with solid-wood or marble tiers. We also make solid sheesham or mango racks with brass detailing: inlay, feet, pulls and accents. The brass is worked in the Moradabad metal cluster and married to the solid wood we make in Jodhpur, so you source the whole piece from one compliant supplier.
Does a brass shoe rack tarnish, and how do you prevent it?
Bare brass develops a warm patina as copper reacts with air, and many buyers want that living finish for an entryway piece. Where a bright, stable look is required we apply a clear lacquer that seals the surface so it will not tarnish in normal indoor use. Antique and brushed finishes are aged on purpose, so they look consistent from day one and hide the knocks a doorway rack takes.
What is the minimum order for brass shoe racks?
A trial or sample order can ship LCL (part-container). For best wholesale pricing thereafter, our standard minimum is one 20ft full container load (FCL). Because many variants ship flat-pack, you can consolidate brass shoe racks with benches, consoles, mirrors and other entryway or décor lines in a single mixed, compliant container.
Can you produce custom or private-label brass shoe racks?
Yes. We work as ODM (our ready catalogue designs) and OEM (made to your drawings, dimensions, finish and private-label requirements), including custom CNC-worked wood tiers, bespoke tier counts and heights, brass tone and sheen matched to your sample, and branded, retail-ready or Amazon-FBA-ready packaging.
Are brass shoe racks suitable for hotels and contract projects?
Yes. Brass is hard-wearing, corrosion-resistant and repairable, which suits hotel lobbies, boutique entries and high-traffic reception areas. We build to commercial-use expectations, lacquer or plate the metal for durability, and inspect each lot, with third-party SGS inspection and SEDEX/SMETA audited production available on request.
What is the lead time for a brass shoe rack order?
Typical production lead time is 30 to 45 days after sample approval, with QC on every piece and documentation per shipment. Urgent orders are accepted at a premium. We quote FOB or CIF and ship from Mundra or Nhava Sheva.
Tell us the look; we will match the metal, the finish and the wood.
Send your target designs, dimensions and volumes — or ask for our catalogue. We will quote FOB or CIF with MOQs and lead times, and produce a finish sample so you approve the brass tone, wood and build before you commit.
