Coastal room dividers — light wood, whitewash and woven cane folding screens.
Light, airy and relaxed: pale whitewashed frames, woven cane and rattan infills, open slatted panels in driftwood and sand tones. We manufacture coastal folding screens in solid wood in Jodhpur — kiln-dried, sealed for humid seaside rooms, FSC and EUDR-ready, from a trial order up to repeat container volumes.
Zone a room without closing it in.
Coastal style is the deliberate opposite of a heavy, dark carved screen: a pale or whitewashed frame, woven cane and rattan, open slatted or spindle sections, and driftwood, sand and soft sea-blue tones. A divider is the ideal piece for it, because the job of a coastal screen is to define a space while keeping it bright and breathable — it separates a sleeping nook from a living area, screens a resort reception, or shades a veranda, all without blocking light or air. We build the frame in solid mango or acacia that takes a whitewash or lime-wash beautifully, weave cane over seasoned panels, and seal the pale finish so it holds up in the damp, salt-laden rooms coastal interiors tend to be. The screen looks effortless and airy while being engineered for the conditions it is designed to live in.

Private-label manufacturingBreezy look, documented timber.
A coastal divider is a solid-wood product with natural cane, and the timber regulations tightening across your markets apply to the frame in full — so we built the documentation around them. Every screen ships with FSC chain-of-custody on request, Vriksh timber-legality verification, and EUDR-ready geolocation and deforestation-free due diligence. We provide US Lacey Act declaration support, UK Timber Regulation coverage, and CARB / TSCA formaldehyde-compliant finishes, with social and quality assurance under SEDEX / SMETA, ISO and SGS inspection, and ISPM-15 heat-treated export packing. Certificate references go directly to serious buyers — never published.

Light to look at, built for humid rooms.
A coastal divider often lives in exactly the conditions a seaside or poolside room throws at it, so the build is tuned for humidity. The solid-wood frame is kiln-dried to a stable moisture level so it will not swell or cup in damp, salt-laden air; the whitewash or lime-wash is sealed over with a water-resistant lacquer so the pale finish resists moisture rather than drinking it; and cane is woven over a seasoned frame and lightly sealed so the weave keeps its shape. For care, buyers wipe sealed surfaces with a soft dry or barely-damp cloth, dust cane and slats with a soft brush or light vacuum, keep the screen clear of direct heat and standing water, and avoid abrasive pads and solvents. Folding screens should be moved by the frame, not the infill. Whitewash can be refreshed over the years to keep the bright, airy tone, and full care and finish guidance ships with every order so your customers get consistent advice.
Coastal divider sourcing, answered.
What makes a room divider coastal style?
Coastal style is light, airy and relaxed — the opposite of heavy, dark carved screens. On a divider it means a pale or whitewashed solid-wood frame, woven cane or rattan infill panels, open slatted or spindle sections that let light and air through, and driftwood, sand or soft sea-blue tones. The effect zones a room without closing it in, which is why it moves so well for beach houses, resorts, verandas and breezy open-plan interiors.
Which woods and materials do you use for coastal dividers?
We build the frame in solid mango or acacia — pale-to-warm woods that take a whitewash or lime-wash beautifully — and fill with natural woven cane or rattan, light wooden slats or turned spindles. Reclaimed wood gives a weathered driftwood look. We do not supply plywood or panel-board screens; every divider has a genuine solid-wood frame, with FSC and Vriksh documentation on request.
What sizes and panel counts do coastal room dividers come in?
Folding screens run 3, 4 or 6 panels, each panel typically 40–50 cm wide and 150–180 cm tall, giving roughly 120–300 cm of deployed width. Cane and slatted infills keep the screens light to fold and move. Fixed partition heights and custom panel counts are standard OEM work — all dimensions, cane work and finish are confirmed on an approved sample before production.
Are coastal dividers suitable for humid, salt-air interiors?
Yes — that is what the build targets. The solid-wood frame is kiln-dried to a stable moisture level so it will not swell or cup in damp, salt-laden air, and the whitewash or lime-wash is sealed over with a CARB / TSCA-compliant lacquer so the pale finish resists moisture rather than absorbing it. Cane is woven over a seasoned frame and lightly sealed to hold its shape in coastal and poolside rooms.
What is the minimum order for coastal room dividers?
A trial or sample order can ship LCL so you can approve the whitewash tone, cane weave and finish. For best wholesale pricing thereafter, one 20ft full container load is our standard minimum, and we consolidate coastal dividers with cane furniture, mirrors, shelving and other relaxed ranges into a single mixed container.
Can you make coastal dividers to our design and private label?
Yes. As an ODM and OEM manufacturer we build to your panel count, height, slat spacing, cane pattern, whitewash depth and colour accent, and finish to your private-label or retail-ready packaging — including custom CNC-cut fretwork and branded, Amazon-FBA-ready cartons.
Approve a whitewash tone, then ship from one container up.
Sign off the finish, cane weave and panel count on a physical sample, then scale from a trial order to repeat container volumes on a 30–45 day lead time — QC-governed and documented for your market. Compare styles on the room dividers hub, or see the full solid-wood range across our furniture.
