Resin ottomans — a cast epoxy top on a solid-wood frame.

A resin ottoman does two jobs at once: a seat you can sit on and a glassy, waterproof surface you can set a tray on. We cast clear or tinted epoxy over a live-edge wood top, then mount it on a solid sheesham, mango or acacia frame — a cocktail ottoman that wipes clean, photographs itself and ships from a trial order up to repeat container volumes.

Why resin on an ottoman

Part seat, part table — one hard-wearing surface.

An ottoman already earns its place by doing several jobs — extra seating, a footrest, a surface, hidden storage. A cast resin top sharpens the "surface" job into something a fabric ottoman can't match: a hard, non-porous, waterproof finish that takes drinks, trays and books directly, with no cushion to stain. We take a solid-wood top, leave a channel or edge for the pour, and flood it with clear or tinted epoxy; once cured, the whole surface is machined and polished dead flush, so a hand runs smoothly from warm grain into glassy resin and back. The result reads as a premium cocktail ottoman — the kind of focal piece a showroom, hotel lobby or café uses to anchor a seating group. Because the top is cast to order and each slab is natural, no two are identical; that uniqueness is the product. The resin and river work extends directly from our live-edge slab capability in Jodhpur, so the wood half carries the same documented, legally sourced credentials as the rest of our range.

Styles we cast

Resin ottomans built the way buyers order them.

Every one is anchored on a genuine solid-wood frame — never a plywood or particle-board carcass. The resin is the hero surface; the joinery underneath is pure Jodhpur.

Resin polished to a high-gloss or satin-matt surface; wood sealed with matte oil or lacquer in CARB / TSCA Title VI formaldehyde-compliant formulations; UV-stabilised resin on request for brighter rooms.

Packing & shipping

Metal and knockdown bases detach for flat-pack density; the cast top is crated with full edge and surface protection. Carton, retail-ready, branded or Amazon-FBA-ready packing; ISPM-15 export packed, FOB or CIF from Mundra / Nhava Sheva.

Import-ready compliance

Documented timber under every pour.

A resin ottoman is part solid wood, so the timber frame carries the compliance load — and we document it fully. Every piece ships with FSC chain-of-custody on request, Vriksh timber-legality verification, and EUDR-ready geolocation and deforestation-free due diligence, with US Lacey Act declaration support, UK Timber Regulation coverage and CARB / TSCA formaldehyde-compliant wood finishes. The epoxy is fully cured and inert in the finished piece. Social and quality assurance run under SEDEX / SMETA, ISO and SGS inspection, with ISPM-15 heat-treated export packing. Certificate references go directly to serious buyers — never published.

Care & durability

A glass-smooth top that wipes clean.

Cured epoxy is a hard, non-porous solid, so the resin top wipes clean with a soft, slightly damp cloth and shrugs off water and most stains — one of the reasons it earns its place in hospitality settings where a fabric top would mark. Avoid abrasive pads and harsh solvents, which can dull the polish, and use coasters under hot items, exactly as you would on any fine finished surface. Keep resin ottomans out of sustained direct sunlight, as standard epoxy can haze or yellow under prolonged UV; where a bright spot is unavoidable we cast a UV-stabilised resin. The wood frame is kiln-dried and sealed so it stays stable across dry and humid markets, and an oiled base can be refreshed with furniture oil over time. A deep scratch in the resin can be re-polished by a specialist rather than replaced. Full care and material cards ship with every order, so your retail and hospitality customers get the same guidance you do.

Questions buyers ask

Resin ottoman sourcing, answered.

What is a resin ottoman?

A resin ottoman is a solid-wood-framed ottoman finished with a cast epoxy-resin top instead of (or alongside) upholstery. The resin forms a hard, glassy, waterproof surface — often a river or edge-pour against a live-edge wood rim — so the piece works as both a seat and a wipe-clean cocktail or side table. We build it on a sheesham, mango or acacia frame; the resin is the surface, never the whole piece.

Why choose a resin top over an upholstered ottoman?

A cast resin top turns an ottoman into a dual-purpose cocktail piece: it gives you a durable, non-porous surface that resists spills, rings and stains, so drinks, trays and books sit directly on it without a fabric worry. It photographs as a statement accent, wipes clean in a hospitality setting, and pairs a modern glassy finish with genuine Jodhpur woodwork — a distinctive, margin-rich alternative to a plain fabric ottoman.

Can the resin be coloured to match a collection?

Yes. Resin casts crystal-clear to show the wood edge, or tinted in any colour — oceanic blue, emerald, smoke grey, black, amber — in transparent, translucent or opaque finishes, with optional metallic or pearl pigments. Send a colour or Pantone reference and we match the pour to your range. Because every ottoman is cast to order, custom colourways are straightforward.

Are resin ottomans durable enough for hotels and cafés?

A fully cured epoxy top is hard, inert, non-porous and water-resistant, which suits lobby, lounge and café use where a fabric top would mark. It polishes to a glass-like surface, resists everyday spills and wipes clean. We advise coasters under hot items and recommend resin ottomans for indoor and covered settings, as standard epoxy can haze under sustained direct UV; a UV-stabilised resin is specified where a bright spot is unavoidable.

Is the wood in a resin ottoman responsibly sourced and import-compliant?

Yes. The solid-wood frame carries FSC chain-of-custody and Vriksh timber-legality documentation, with CITES-compliant handling of sheesham. We are EUDR-ready with geolocation and deforestation-free due diligence, and we support US Lacey Act declarations, UK Timber Regulation and CARB / TSCA formaldehyde-compliant finishes, packed to ISPM-15. The cured resin is inert in the finished piece.

What is your minimum order and lead time for resin ottomans?

A trial or sample order can ship LCL (part-container). For best wholesale pricing thereafter, one 20ft full container load is our standard minimum, and resin ottomans consolidate easily with river tables, benches and other categories into a mixed container. Typical lead time is 30–45 days, including the cure and finishing resin needs, with urgent orders at a premium.
