Live edge dining chairs, cut from natural-edge slabs and built to export.
Natural-edge acacia, sheesham, mango and reclaimed-wood seats and backs on solid-wood or wrought-iron frames — kiln-dried, dining-height, compliance-documented and container-ready for importers, retailers and hospitality buyers worldwide.
The tree's own edge, kept — not squared off.
A live edge dining chair keeps the natural, undulating contour of the slab on a visible element — usually a thick seat, sometimes a top rail or full back panel — instead of cutting it to a straight line. The result is a one-of-a-kind chair where figure, grain flow and the organic edge become the design. We treat it as a genuine solid-wood product: a single kiln-dried hardwood seat or back, real hardwood or powder-coated iron frames, and the seat height, depth and back angle a working dining set needs. Stock our catalogue range, or have us build to your exact seat, back and brand.

Reclaimed wood for live edgeWhy a natural-edge chair sells — and how we build it to last.
A chair that is its own showpiece
Because no two slabs are alike, every chair is unique — a genuine point of difference against mass-produced dining seating. The organic edge, book-matched figure and deep grain photograph well and justify a premium price point, which is exactly what retail and private-label buyers want from a hero SKU anchoring a dining set.
Built to stay flat and stable
Solid slabs move, so we engineer for it: timber is kiln-dried to export moisture levels, natural checks are locked with butterfly (bow-tie) keys, and seats are seasoned to resist cupping. Frames are mortise-and-tenon hardwood or welded, powder-coated steel — rigid and wobble-free under daily use.
Dining ergonomics, done right
A dining chair lives or dies on comfort, so we hold the dimensions: roughly 45–48 cm seat height to suit 73–78 cm tables, a contoured or saddled seat where the design allows, and a back angle set for sitting through a meal. Side chairs, carvers with arms and counter-matching heights are all made to order.
Finished for real-world use
Seats and backs are sealed with CARB / TSCA Title VI-compliant lacquer or natural penetrating oil, chosen to resist spills, wear and cleaning while keeping the wood's tactile edge. You choose the sheen — matte, satin or a tougher film build for heavy hospitality floors.
One natural-edge idea, built for every channel.
Finishes
Natural oil, clear matte or satin lacquer, light stain to deepen figure, and smoke or distressed treatments for a vintage read. Iron frames are powder-coated black or bronze; brass-tone hardware and woven cane, leather or upholstered seat-pad options available.
Formats
Live edge seat on a wood or iron frame, natural-edge top-rail and full slab-back versions, side chairs and carver (arm) chairs, four-leg wood frames and hairpin or sled-style iron bases — each with the natural edge preserved on a visible element.
Use cases
Dining rooms and breakfast nooks, boutique-hotel suites, restaurant, café and private-dining seating, designer fit-outs, and private-label retail ranges that need a one-of-a-kind dining SKU to pair with a live edge table.

We handle the paperwork before you ask: geolocated, deforestation-free, Vriksh-verified timber with FSC chain-of-custody, Lacey Act declaration support and UK Timber Regulation coverage, documented per shipment.

How to keep a natural-edge chair looking its best.
Finish & surface
Wipe spills promptly and keep chairs out of direct sun and away from heat sources so the solid-wood seat stays stable. Oiled seats can be refreshed with a compatible penetrating oil; lacquered seats need only a soft, damp cloth. The natural edge is sealed but should not be knocked; check and snug frame fittings periodically on high-use floors.
Retail-ready documentation
Each shipment carries care guidance you can pass to your own customers, plus the compliance file your customs broker needs. Branded, retail-ready and Amazon-FBA-ready packaging is available so chairs arrive shelf- or dropship-ready.
Live edge dining chair sourcing questions, answered.
What is a live edge dining chair?
A live edge dining chair keeps the natural, uncut contour of the tree on a visible part of the chair — most often the seat slab, sometimes the top rail or back — instead of squaring every edge to a straight line. We cut that element from a single kiln-dried hardwood slab so the organic edge, grain flow and figure become the design, then build it onto a solid-wood or powder-coated wrought-iron frame with proper dining ergonomics.
Which woods do you use for live edge dining chairs?
We cut natural-edge seats and backs from solid acacia, sheesham (Indian rosewood), mango, teak and reclaimed old wood. Acacia and sheesham carry the boldest grain for a statement chair; mango suits lighter, painted or two-tone ranges; reclaimed wood gives a deforestation-free character story. Every chair has a solid-wood core — we do not supply plywood or veneer-only chairs.
What seat height do you build live edge dining chairs to?
We build to the standard export dining height of roughly 45–48 cm seat height, matched to 73–78 cm dining tables, and to your own spec. Side chairs, armchairs and carver (head) chairs are all available, and we size seat depth, back angle and overall height to your drawings for hospitality and private-label ranges.
Can you make live edge dining chairs to our own size, finish and brand?
Yes. As an ODM and OEM manufacturer we build to your drawings — seat shape, edge profile, back style, frame and finish — and to your private-label or retail-ready packaging. We also do custom CNC detailing, hospitality-grade builds and branded or Amazon-FBA-ready cartons.
Are live edge dining chair seats stable enough for daily and commercial use?
Yes. Seats are kiln-dried to export moisture levels and any natural checks are locked with butterfly (bow-tie) keys, while mortise-and-tenon joinery or welded steel frames carry daily load. We build to hospitality weight and wobble tolerances when you specify contract use, and document the construction so your QC team can verify it before shipment.
Can live edge dining chairs ship flat-pack to cut freight?
Often, yes. Where the design allows, the seat and detachable legs or frame pack down to raise container density and reduce transit breakage — useful for large importers and online sellers. Fully assembled builds are available where a one-piece look is preferred, and we consolidate chairs with dining tables and other categories into one container.
Send a drawing or a reference — we'll quote by the container.
Request a sample to approve the seat, edge, back and finish, or get an FOB/CIF quote with MOQs and lead times. Compare the full range on the dining chairs hub, pair it with a live edge dining table, or bring your spec for a hospitality fit-out or private-label range and we'll build to it.
