No two are ever the same. Each reclaimed console is re-milled from genuine old timber — house beams, doors, railway sleepers and retired furniture — so every top carries real saw marks, nail holes and decades-deep patina no new wood can fake. We manufacture solid reclaimed-wood console tables in Jodhpur: salvaged, stabilised, legally documented, FSC and EUDR-ready, finished to your spec and shipped from a single trial order up to repeat container volumes.

Why reclaimed wood for a console table

Character that is impossible to mass-produce — on the one piece guests notice first.

A console is the first furniture a visitor sees — in the entryway, the hallway, behind the sofa — so it is the piece that sets the tone for the whole room. Reclaimed wood is made for that job. Each top is re-milled from timber salvaged from old doors, window frames, house beams, railway sleepers, boat wood and retired furniture, much of it aged sheesham, teak, mango and acacia. That means it arrives with a lifetime of honest history already in the surface: weathered multi-tone colour, deep grain, saw and adze marks, filled nail and bolt holes, and the occasional trace of old paint — the character marks that, on a reclaimed piece, are the point, not a flaw. Because it is old-growth timber that has already dried and moved over decades, a reclaimed console is exceptionally dimensionally stable and dense, so it resists the dents and movement a slim, hard-used top would otherwise suffer. And unlike any new wood, a console that already looks lived-in only improves with the knocks of daily entryway use. For retail, boutique-hospitality and e-commerce buyers, that adds up to a genuinely hand-made, one-of-a-kind product with the single strongest sustainability story we offer — no new tree is felled.

Because the raw material is salvaged, colour, grain and the exact pattern of marks vary from piece to piece — that variation is the product, so we recommend approving a physical top and agreeing a character range before production. Request a reclaimed wood console table sample and we will send grain, finish and patina references. For the full material profile, see the reclaimed wood material guide, or weigh the trade-offs in reclaimed versus new wood for furniture.

Sizes & build options

Narrow hallway, sofa-back or statement entryway — matched to your layout.

A console's slim depth is what lets it fit passageways and sit flush against walls and sofa backs — and what makes it load efficiently by the container. Set the top near 75–80 cm high so it aligns with a standard sofa back, and choose depth by where it goes. Every dimension below is a standard starting point; we build to your exact specification, and because reclaimed stock is sorted board by board, we agree the character and colour range with you up front for contract and private-label programmes.

Import-ready compliance

Reclaimed consoles documented for every market you sell into.

Reclaimed wood carries the strongest sustainability case of any timber we work — it reuses wood that already exists, so no new tree is felled, which is exactly what deforestation-conscious buyers and the EU Deforestation Regulation reward. But a serious buyer needs the paperwork, not just the claim, so we document the recovered source of our salvaged stock and provide FSC chain-of-custody where applicable, Vriksh timber-legality verification, and EUDR-ready due diligence. We supply US Lacey Act declaration support, UK Timber Regulation coverage, and CARB / TSCA Title VI formaldehyde-compliant finishes, with social and quality assurance under SEDEX / SMETA, ISO and SGS inspection, and ISPM-15 heat-treated export packing. Certificate references go directly to serious buyers — never published.

Care & durability

Already lived-in — and built to keep going.

Every batch of salvaged timber is sorted, de-nailed, cleaned and kiln-treated to kill any pests or larvae, then brought to stable moisture before joinery, so a reclaimed console arrives sound and ready for years of service despite its age. Mortise-and-tenon and dowelled joints stay tight under the daily open-and-close of an entryway, and where a reclaimed top sits on a wrought-iron base, that base is powder-coated or waxed against corrosion. Day to day, the piece needs only a dust with a soft dry cloth and an occasional wipe with a slightly damp one. A sealed matt lacquer makes the top wipe-clean and resists marks; natural waxed and oiled finishes keep the raw, weathered hand and can be re-waxed once or twice a year to feed the grain and hold the patina. Because the surface already shows honest wear, new knocks simply blend in rather than standing out — a genuine advantage over pristine new wood in a high-traffic spot. Keep standing liquid wiped promptly and the console out of prolonged direct sun to protect the tone. The salvaged marks, colour shifts and filled holes are intentional character and part of the hand-made appeal; full care and finish guidance ships with every order so your buyers set the right expectation and give consistent advice.

Questions buyers ask

Reclaimed wood console table sourcing, answered.

What is a reclaimed wood console table made from?

Our reclaimed wood console tables are built from genuine salvaged timber — old doors, window frames, house beams, railway sleepers, boat wood and retired furniture, much of it aged sheesham, teak, mango and acacia. The wood is sorted, de-nailed, cleaned, kiln-treated to kill any pests and brought to stable moisture, then re-milled into console tops, aprons, shelves and legs. Because it is old-growth timber that has already dried and moved for decades, a reclaimed console is exceptionally stable, and it keeps the saw marks, nail holes, bolt scars, old paint traces and deep patina that make every piece genuinely one of a kind.

Is reclaimed wood good for a console table?

Reclaimed wood is one of the best choices for a console table. A console lives in the entryway, hallway or behind a sofa, catching keys, bags, lamps and the occasional wet glass — so a worn, characterful top that already shows honest wear only looks better with age rather than tired. Reclaimed old-growth timber is dense and fully seasoned, so it resists dents and movement, and no two tops are alike, which is exactly the hand-made story retail, boutique-hotel and e-commerce buyers want to sell. It also carries the strongest sustainability narrative of any wood we export: no new tree is felled.

What sizes do your reclaimed wood console tables come in?

Standard reclaimed consoles run roughly 100–120 cm wide, 30–40 cm deep and 75–80 cm high, with 80 cm narrow-hallway and 140–180 cm sofa-back or extra-long variants. Storage options include open frames, one or two drawers, a lower display shelf or cabinet doors, often on a wrought-iron base for an industrial look. We manufacture to your exact dimensions for contract and private-label programmes.

How do you finish a reclaimed wood console table?

We clean and stabilise the salvaged timber first, then finish to the look you want: a natural waxed or oiled finish that keeps the raw, weathered character, a sealed matt lacquer for a wipe-clean top, or whitewashed, limed, hand-distressed and multi-colour patchwork effects — all in CARB / TSCA Title VI formaldehyde-compliant formulations. Reclaimed tops pair especially well with a powder-coated wrought-iron or hairpin base for industrial and rustic ranges.

Is reclaimed wood sustainable and compliant to import?

Yes, and it is our strongest sustainability story — reclaimed wood reuses timber that already exists, so no new tree is felled, which resonates with deforestation-conscious buyers and the EU Deforestation Regulation. We document the recovered source and supply FSC chain-of-custody where applicable, Vriksh timber-legality, EUDR-ready due diligence, US Lacey Act declaration support, UK Timber Regulation coverage and ISPM-15 heat-treated export packing. Certificate references go directly to serious buyers on request.

What is your minimum order for reclaimed wood console tables?

A trial or sample order can ship LCL (part-container). For best wholesale pricing thereafter, one 20ft full container load is our standard minimum. Consoles have a slim footprint and load efficiently — we consolidate reclaimed consoles with coffee tables, sideboards, mirrors and décor into a single mixed, compliant container.
