Wrought iron coat racks, handcrafted in Jodhpur — wholesale for importers, retailers and hospitality.
Hand-forged iron frames, powder-coated against corrosion and paired with solid sheesham, mango, acacia, teak or reclaimed-wood bases, bars and back-plates, with iron hooks and brass accents. The Jodhpur iron-and-wood signature — manufacturer-direct, compliance-documented and container-ready from a trial order up.
Iron frame, solid-wood body — the industrial coat rack buyers keep reordering.
No entryway piece is more native to Jodhpur than iron married to solid wood. The city's metal workshops hand-bend and weld the frame while its timber yards cut the base, back-plate and cross-bars, and the result is a coat rack that reads honest, heavy and built-to-last — the industrial, farmhouse and mid-century look that moves fast on retail floors, in hotel cloakrooms and lobbies, and on Wayfair and Amazon alike. It solves a universal problem in a small footprint, flat-packs densely for sea freight, and is robust enough to carry wet winter coats day after day. We build the wood heart ourselves and powder-coat the iron in-house, so you can source a genuine wrought-iron rack with real metalwork pedigree from one compliant container.
Forged on the frame, solid wood where it carries and shows.
Wrought iron reaches a coat rack as its structural backbone, and how it is worked and finished sets the weight, the price and the look. We match the construction to how you sell and ship it.
Forged & welded frames
Round bar or square tube, hand-bent and welded into a tall standing tree, a tripod stance, a hall-tree upright or a wall rail, then ground smooth at the joints — the rigid, load-bearing heart that holds coat weight without flexing.
Solid-wood base & bars
A weighted base, cross-bar or wall back-plate in solid sheesham, mango, acacia, teak or reclaimed wood for genuine timber warmth and anti-tip stability — the part your customers see and touch, finished natural, stained or distressed.
Hooks, pegs & detail
Cast or forged iron hooks, double-prongs and pegs — with brass or copper accents on request — plus the umbrella loops and tray detailing that turn a frame into a working entryway rack and the easiest line to volume-produce.
Because the base and bars are solid wood, the rack ships inside a documented timber container with full legality paperwork. Read how the metal itself behaves — composition, powder-coating and care — on our wrought iron material guide, or see every material and style on the coat racks hub.
One metal, three formats — matched to your sample before we cut a container.
Freestanding & hall-tree
Tall iron coat trees and tripod stands on a weighted wooden base — no wall fixing, ideal for rentals and hospitality floors — and full hall trees that add a seat and shoe storage for a complete mudroom piece.
Wall-mounted rails
Solid-wood back-plates with a row of iron or brass hooks — the compact, high-margin SKU that ships dense and sells on sight, in reclaimed and sheesham for the vintage story buyers look for.
Powder-coat & raw looks
A hard, sealed powder-coat in matte black, graphite, antique bronze, aged gold, white or any RAL reference; or clear-lacquered natural iron, hand-hammered texture and distressed patina where a living surface is wanted.
Indicative specs — every dimension, iron finish and hook count is made to your order.
The figures opposite are typical ranges for reference. We manufacture to your exact drawings and market requirements, so rack height, bar gauge, wood species, hook count, base size and powder-coat colour are all specified at the quote stage. Material and lot traceability is documented where applicable.

Made for hospitality & retail
Wrought iron is rigid, hard-wearing and repairable, which suits a coat rack to hotel cloakrooms and lobbies, restaurants, cafés, offices and boutique retail — carrying a day's worth of coats and bags without tipping or sagging. We weld and grind the frame for commercial use, weight or widen the base, and powder-coat the metal for the wear your setting demands. See the full range we make for hotels, restaurants and bars.
Import-ready & easy to care for
Powder-coated iron needs only a dry or barely-damp soft cloth — no abrasives that could scratch the seal; chips are touched in, and a living finish simply deepens. On the paperwork side, the solid-wood base, bars and the container clear with FSC, Vriksh, EUDR-ready and CARB/TSCA documentation, with ISPM-15 heat-treated export packing as standard. Wrought iron coat racks — wholesale & export FAQ
What is a wrought iron coat rack made of?
A wrought iron coat rack is built around a hand-forged iron frame — round bar or square tube, bent and welded into a freestanding tree, a hall-tree upright or a wall rail, then powder-coated for corrosion resistance. The base, cross-bar or back-plate is your choice of solid sheesham, mango, acacia, teak or reclaimed wood, and the hooks are iron with brass or copper accents on request. The iron-and-wood rack is the Jodhpur signature, and it ships inside a documented solid-wood container. We do not supply plywood or panel racks.
Does a wrought iron coat rack rust?
Not in normal indoor entryway use. We shot-blast and powder-coat the frame, which lays down a hard, sealed skin that resists corrosion, chipping and scratches far better than wet paint — the standard finish for retail and commercial settings. Raw or clear-lacquered iron and hand-hammered looks are available where a more artisanal, living surface is wanted, and for humid or coastal markets we specify a heavier coat. Care is simply a dry or barely-damp soft cloth; no abrasives.
How much weight can a wrought iron coat rack hold?
Forged iron is rigid and load-bearing, which is why it suits a coat rack better than lightweight tube — heavy winter coats, wet outerwear and bags are what a rack has to survive. We weld and grind the joints for strength, weight the base or widen the footprint on freestanding trees so they do not tip, and for wall-mounted racks we fit hooks to a solid-wood back-plate that spreads the load across studs or rated anchors. Hook gauge and reinforcement are specified up for hospitality and contract duty.
What is the minimum order for wholesale wrought iron coat racks?
A trial or sample order can ship LCL (part-container) so you can approve the iron finish, wood species, hook count and build first. For best wholesale pricing thereafter, one 20ft full container load is our standard minimum, and we consolidate wrought iron coat racks with hall trees, console tables, industrial furniture, metalware and décor into a single mixed container.
Can you make wrought iron coat racks to our own design or private label?
Yes. We work as both ODM (our catalogue designs) and OEM — manufacturing to your drawings, dimensions, powder-coat colour, wood species, hook count and height, with your branding and retail-ready or Amazon-FBA-ready cartons. Send a reference image or spec and we prototype to it before any production run, including custom CNC and bespoke framework.
Are your wrought iron coat racks compliant for US and EU import?
Yes. The iron is a metal, but the solid-wood base and bars and the wider consolidated container still have to clear — so we document FSC chain-of-custody, Vriksh timber-legality and CITES-compliant sheesham handling, with ISO, SGS and SEDEX/SMETA audits, EUDR-ready due diligence, US Lacey Act support, UK Timber Regulation, CARB/TSCA-compliant wood finishes and ISPM-15 export packing. Certificate numbers are shared directly with serious buyers.
Sample one rack, then scale to containers.
Tell us the format, powder-coat colour, wood species, hook count and market. We confirm the metalwork, wood, MOQ and a FOB/CIF price, produce a sample for approval via LCL, then manufacture and pack to your standard on a 30–45 day lead time — consolidated with the rest of your range.
