Brass chests of drawers — metalwork and solid wood, made for export.
Brass gives a chest of drawers warmth and presence that paint and veneer cannot fake — whether wrapped across the drawer fronts, inlaid as fine strips, or used as handles, caps and feet. We combine Moradabad-tradition metalwork with solid mango and sheesham carcases built in Jodhpur, legally sourced and EUDR-ready, from a trial order up to repeat container volumes.
A warm, living metal on an honest wooden frame.
Brass is a copper-zinc alloy with a warm golden tone that reads as genuinely high-end — the reason it has returned to the front of hotel, boutique and luxe-retail interiors. India's metalware heartland, Moradabad, has worked brass by hand for generations, and that skill is what separates a real brass chest from a plated imitation: hand-raised sheet over the drawer fronts, drawn strips inlaid into wood, cast handles and corner caps with weight and detail. We build all of it onto a solid mango or sheesham carcase with properly fitted drawers, so the piece is furniture first and ornament second. Brass also ages beautifully — left raw it deepens to a soft patina, lacquered it stays bright — giving your buyers a choice between low-maintenance shine and evolving character. It is the detail that lets a bedroom or dressing-room range feel considered rather than mass-produced.

Metalwork on top, timber legality underneath.
The solid-wood carcase of every brass chest ships with FSC chain-of-custody on request, Vriksh timber-legality verification, and EUDR-ready geolocation and deforestation-free due diligence. We provide US Lacey Act declaration support, UK Timber Regulation coverage, and CARB / TSCA formaldehyde-compliant wood finishes, with social and quality assurance under SEDEX / SMETA, ISO and SGS inspection, and ISPM-15 heat-treated export packing. Brass itself is an inert, fully recyclable alloy that raises no timber-legality issue — the compliance focus stays on the wood, and we document it completely. Certificate references go directly to serious buyers — never published.

Simple upkeep, whichever finish you choose.
Lacquered brass needs only a soft dry dusting and an occasional barely-damp wipe; avoid abrasive pads and acidic cleaners, which can cut through the lacquer. Raw brass is meant to age — leave it to develop its patina, or bring back brightness with an occasional proprietary brass polish, exactly as your customers prefer. The solid carcase is kiln-dried to a stable moisture level before assembly, so drawers run true across climates, and runners can be re-waxed if they tighten in humid conditions. Brass hardware can be tightened or replaced over the life of the piece without disturbing the wood. We supply raw or lacquered to your choice, flag which care routine applies, and ship full care and finish guidance with every order so retail and hospitality customers get consistent advice.
Brass chest sourcing, answered.
What does a brass chest of drawers actually look like?
There are three common builds. Brass-clad chests wrap drawer fronts or the whole carcase face in hand-worked brass sheet for a full metallic look. Brass-inlay chests set thin brass strips or motifs into a solid-wood front. And brass-detailed chests keep a wood carcase with brass hardware — handles, corner caps, strapping and feet. All three sit on a solid mango or sheesham carcase, and all three are fully customisable.
Will the brass tarnish, and can I get an aged or lacquered finish?
Brass is a living metal. Left raw it develops a warm patina over time, which many buyers prize; lacquered, it holds its bright or brushed tone with almost no upkeep. We finish to your brief — polished, brushed/satin, antique-aged or dark-oxidised — and can lacquer-seal against tarnish or supply raw for an intentionally ageing look. We explain the trade-off so your end customers know what to expect.
Is the brass solid metal or plated?
We use genuine brass, not plastic or plated trim — hand-worked sheet, cast hardware and drawn strip from the Moradabad metalware tradition. Brass is a copper-zinc alloy, so weight, warmth and the way it ages are all authentic. Thickness and gauge are specified to your design and price point, and we share exact material details with serious buyers on request.
What is your minimum order for brass chests of drawers?
A trial or sample order can ship LCL as a part-container. For best wholesale pricing thereafter, one 20ft full container load is our standard minimum, and we consolidate brass chests with brass-detailed nightstands, consoles, mirrors and metal décor into a single mixed container.
Can you private-label and match brass to our collection?
Yes. We work ODM from our catalogue and OEM to your drawings, finish references and hardware specs, with private-label and retail-ready packaging. We can match brass tone and the carcase wood and finish across a whole collection so chests, consoles and mirrors read as one range.
Are brass chests compliant for import?
Yes. The solid-wood carcase ships with FSC chain-of-custody on request, Vriksh timber-legality verification and EUDR-ready due diligence, with US Lacey Act support and CARB / TSCA-compliant wood finishes. Brass is an inert, recyclable alloy that raises no timber-legality issue, and all pieces ship in ISPM-15 heat-treated export packaging.
Approve the brass tone, then ship from one container up.
Sign off brass finish, hardware and carcase on a physical sample, then scale from a trial order to repeat container volumes on a 30–45 day lead time — QC-governed and documented for your market. Read the full brass material guide, or compare woods, hardware and styles on the chests of drawers hub.
