Resin benches — epoxy rivers fused with solid-wood slabs.
A resin bench turns a seat into a feature: a channel of coloured or clear epoxy poured between live-edge wood, machined glass-smooth. We cast river-style resin benches on solid mango, acacia and teak slabs — your colour, your river, your legs — and ship them from a trial order up to repeat container volumes.
Where the wood ends and the river begins.
A resin bench marries two materials that could not look more different and makes them one surface. We take a live-edge solid-wood slab, split or arrange it to leave a channel, and pour epoxy resin into the gap — a 'river' of colour or clear glass that follows the organic edge of the timber. Once cured, the whole top is machined and polished dead flush, so a hand runs smoothly from warm grain into glassy resin and back. The effect is unmistakably premium and genuinely one-off: the wood edge is unique to each slab and the pour behaves differently every time. Buyers use it as a focal piece — a feature entryway seat, a statement dining bench, a reception centrepiece — the kind of product that photographs and sells itself. Resin and river work extends directly from our live-edge slab capability in Jodhpur, so the timber half carries the same documented, legally sourced credentials as the rest of our range.
What a resin bench is made of.
| Attribute | Resin bench characteristic |
|---|---|
| Construction | Cast epoxy resin fused to a solid-wood slab, machined and polished flush |
| Slab woods | Mango, acacia or teak live-edge slab — distinct grain and natural edge |
| Resin | Clear or tinted epoxy; transparent, translucent or opaque; metallic and pearl effects |
| Surface | Hard, inert, non-porous; polishes to a glass-like, water- and stain-resistant top |
| Character | Every bench unique — slab edge and pour vary from piece to piece |
| Legs | Slim steel, U-frame, hairpin or sculptural wood; metal legs ship flat |
| Best settings | Indoor feature seating — entryways, dining, lobbies, showrooms, reception |
| Sustainability | FSC chain-of-custody and Vriksh on the timber; EUDR-ready sourcing |
Because each piece is cast and each slab is natural, exact river shape, colour depth and grain vary — that uniqueness is the product. Request a resin bench sample and we will send colour, slab and leg references, or read the full profile in the resin material guide.

Resin polished to a high-gloss or satin-matt surface; wood sealed with matte oil or lacquer in CARB / TSCA Title VI formaldehyde-compliant formulations; UV-stabilised resin on request.
Packing & shipping
Metal legs detach for knockdown shipping; the cast top is crated with full edge and surface protection. Carton, retail-ready or branded packaging; ISPM-15 export packing, FOB or CIF from Mundra / Nhava Sheva.
Documented timber inside every pour.
A resin bench is part solid wood, so the timber half carries the compliance load — and we document it fully. Every bench ships with FSC chain-of-custody on request, Vriksh timber-legality verification, and EUDR-ready geolocation and deforestation-free due diligence, with US Lacey Act declaration support, UK Timber Regulation coverage and CARB / TSCA formaldehyde-compliant wood finishes. The epoxy is fully cured and inert in the finished piece. Social and quality assurance run under SEDEX / SMETA, ISO and SGS inspection, with ISPM-15 heat-treated export packing. Certificate references go directly to serious buyers — never published.

A glass-smooth top that wipes clean.
Cured epoxy is a hard, non-porous solid, so the resin half of the bench wipes clean with a soft, slightly damp cloth and shrugs off water and most stains. Avoid abrasive pads and harsh solvents, which can dull the polish, and use coasters under hot items, exactly as you would on any fine finished surface. Keep resin benches out of sustained direct sunlight, as standard epoxy can haze or yellow under prolonged UV; where a bright spot is unavoidable we cast a UV-stabilised resin. The wood half is kiln-dried and sealed before casting so the slab stays stable, and an oiled slab can be refreshed with furniture oil over time. A deep scratch in the resin can be re-polished by a specialist rather than replaced. Metal legs are powder-coated and can be re-levelled with adjustable feet. Full care and finish guidance ships with every order.
Resin bench sourcing, answered.
What is a resin bench?
A resin bench fuses a solid-wood slab with cast epoxy resin. Most are 'river' benches, where a channel of coloured or clear resin runs between two live-edge wood pieces to look like water through rock. The resin is poured, cured and then machined and polished flush with the wood, giving a glassy, jewel-like seat that still reads as real timber.
What colours and effects can the resin be?
Resin can be crystal-clear to show the wood edge, or tinted in any colour — ocean blue, emerald, smoke grey, black, amber — in transparent, translucent or opaque finishes. We can add metallic pigments, pearl shimmer or embedded elements. Send a colour or Pantone reference and we match the pour to your brand or collection.
Is the resin on the bench durable and safe?
Cured epoxy is a hard, inert, non-porous solid that resists water, stains and everyday knocks, and polishes to a glass-like surface. It is fully cured and stable in the finished bench. It can scratch under abuse and will haze under prolonged direct UV, so we recommend resin benches for indoor use and advise coasters under hot items, exactly as for any fine finished surface.
Can resin benches go outdoors?
We recommend resin benches for indoor and covered settings. Standard epoxy can yellow or haze under sustained direct sunlight, so for a bright outdoor-adjacent location we specify a UV-stabilised resin and a teak slab. For fully exposed outdoor seating we would steer you to solid teak instead.
What is your minimum order for resin benches?
Because each pour is bespoke, a trial or sample order can ship LCL (part-container). For best wholesale pricing thereafter, one 20ft full container load is our standard minimum, and we consolidate resin benches with river tables, live-edge pieces and other categories into a single mixed container.
Can you make resin benches to our own design and brand?
Yes. We work as ODM from our catalogue and as OEM to your drawings — slab wood, river width, resin colour and opacity, leg style, dimensions and finish, plus private-label and retail-ready packaging. Because each piece is cast to order, custom colourways and embedded effects are straightforward.
Sample the pour and slab, then ship from one container up.
Approve the resin colour, slab and leg style on a physical sample, then scale from a trial order to repeat container volumes on a 30–45 day lead time — QC-governed and documented for your market.
