Brass benches — warm metalwork for glamorous, hard-wearing seating.
Brass brings a warmth that chrome and steel cannot: a golden glow that reads as genuine luxury on a bench. Drawing on Moradabad's metal-artware heritage, we manufacture solid-brass and brass-finished benches with upholstered, wood, cane or marble seats — your finish, your fabric — from a trial order up to repeat container volumes.
The metal that makes a bench look expensive.
Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc, and it carries a warmth no cool-toned metal can match — a soft golden glow that catches light and signals quality the moment someone walks past. That is why it anchors Hollywood Regency, Art Deco and modern-luxe interiors, and why designers specify a brass bench as a jewel piece for a foot-of-bed, a hallway or a hotel suite. Beyond looks, brass is dense, corrosion-resistant and genuinely durable; it was prized on ships and instruments for exactly that reason. It also has a living quality — left raw it deepens to a richer patina with age and handling, which many buyers choose on purpose, while a protective lacquer holds the bright polish for those who want it. Moradabad, India's brass city, is part of our vetted manufacturing network, so we can cast, spin, braze and hand-polish brass to a standard most furniture exporters cannot offer, then pair it with the seat your interior calls for.
What a brass bench brings to the room.

|---|---|
| Material | Copper-zinc alloy — solid cast/sheet brass, or antique-brass finish over steel |

| Durability | Dense and corrosion-resistant; metalwork outlasts the upholstery it carries |
| Seat options | Upholstered (fabric or leather), solid wood, cane/rattan, or marble top |
| Finish behaviour | Raw brass patinas warmer over time; lacquer slows tarnish and holds shine |
| Best settings | Luxury interiors, dressing rooms, hotel suites, foyers, vanity and hallway seating |

Polish depth and patina vary slightly with each hand-finished frame, which is part of brass's appeal. Request a brass bench sample and we will send finish and seat references, or read the full profile in the brass material guide.

Metalwork and timber, documented for your market.
A brass bench combines metal, and often a wood or upholstered seat, so we document every element a buyer's compliance team will ask about. Where the bench carries a solid-wood seat, it ships with FSC chain-of-custody on request, Vriksh timber-legality verification, and EUDR-ready geolocation and deforestation-free due diligence, plus US Lacey Act declaration support, UK Timber Regulation coverage and CARB / TSCA formaldehyde-compliant finishes. The metalwork and the whole order run under SEDEX / SMETA ethical and social audit, ISO quality management and SGS third-party inspection, with ISPM-15 heat-treated export packing. Certificate references go directly to serious buyers — never published.
| Area | Our standard |
|---|---|
| Quality | ISO quality management · SGS inspection |
| Social / ethical | SEDEX / SMETA audited supply |
| Timber (wood seat) | FSC on request · Vriksh · EUDR-ready |
| EU / US market | UKTR · Lacey support · CARB / TSCA finishes |
| Export packing | ISPM-15 heat-treated · protected metalwork |
| Documentation | Shared with serious buyers 1:1 on request |
Keep the glow, or let it age gracefully.
A brass bench asks only for the care its finish implies. Lacquered brass needs nothing more than a soft, dry or barely damp cloth; never use metal polish on a lacquered surface, as it will cut through the protective coat. Raw, living brass can be left to deepen into its patina, or brought back to a bright shine with a proper brass polish whenever the owner wants — the choice is purely aesthetic. Avoid abrasive pads and acidic cleaners on any brass. The metal frame itself is corrosion-resistant and effectively permanent; it is the seat that sees wear, so we build upholstered cushions on hardwood frames with quality foam and webbing, and any wood seat is kiln-dried and sealed for a stable, wipe-clean surface. Because seats can be specified as detachable, upholstery can be refreshed down the line without replacing the bench. Full care guidance ships with every order.
Brass bench sourcing, answered.
Are your brass benches solid brass or brass-plated?
We build both. Solid cast or sheet brass frames give the fullest weight, warmth and ageing character and are our premium option. Brass-plated or antique-brass-finished steel frames give the same golden look at a lower price point and more strength for contract use. We will tell you plainly which you are quoting and recommend the right build for the application and budget.
Will a brass bench tarnish over time?
Raw brass naturally develops a warmer, darker patina as it reacts with air and handling — many designers choose this living finish deliberately. If you want the bright golden tone held, we apply a protective lacquer that slows tarnishing for years. State 'living/raw' or 'lacquered' on your order and we finish accordingly; both are offered across the range.
What seat can go on a brass bench?
Brass frames pair with an upholstered cushioned seat in your fabric or leather, a solid-wood seat (mango, sheesham or teak), a cane/rattan panel, or a marble top for a vanity or hallway bench. The metalwork is the signature; the seat tunes the look and the price. Send your fabric or stone reference and we match it.
Can brass benches be used outdoors?
Brass itself tolerates outdoor air and is often used on boats, but an untreated brass bench will patina quickly outdoors and any upholstered or wood seat will not. We advise brass benches for indoor luxury interiors, lobbies and dressing rooms; for covered outdoor use we can specify a weather-stable finish and a teak or all-metal seat.
What is your minimum order for brass benches?
A trial or sample order can ship LCL (part-container). For best wholesale pricing thereafter, one 20ft full container load is our standard minimum, and we consolidate brass benches with brass consoles, mirrors, décor and other categories into a single mixed container.
Can you make brass benches to our own design and brand?
Yes. We work as ODM from our catalogue and as OEM to your drawings — custom dimensions, tube and sheet profiles, polished/brushed/antique finishes, your upholstery or stone, plus private-label and retail-ready packaging. Moradabad-style metalwork is a core capability, so bespoke brass is well within our range.
Sample the finish and seat, then ship from one container up.
Approve the brass finish, seat and fabric on a physical sample, then scale from a trial order to repeat container volumes on a 30–45 day lead time — QC-governed and documented for your market. Read the full profile in the brass material guide, or compare seats and other materials on the benches hub.
