Rubberwood beds — eco plantation-hardwood frames at outstanding value.
Rubberwood is the wood that lets you offer a solid-hardwood bed at a true value price — pale, even-grained and perfect for painted and stained ranges, with a genuine eco story behind it. We manufacture rubberwood platform, slat-base and storage beds in Jodhpur, kiln-dried and treated, FSC and EUDR-ready, finished to your spec and shipped from a single trial order up to repeat container volumes.
A real hardwood frame at a price the volume market will pay.
Rubberwood (Hevea brasiliensis) is the quiet workhorse of value furniture. It is a medium-density hardwood — stronger, harder and more dimensionally stable than pine — with a pale, even, straight grain and few of the knots or wild figure that complicate finishing. That uniformity is its superpower: rubberwood is the ideal canvas for paint and stain, so you can build white, grey, pastel or wood-tone collections on one reliable base. It is also one of the most sustainable timbers in commercial use. The tree is planted and tapped for latex for decades, and only when it stops yielding is it harvested for wood — so rubberwood furniture is a by-product of rubber farming, not a cause of forest loss. Kiln-dried and treated as we do it as standard, rubberwood is a sound, durable indoor frame — and for importers chasing value and volume, it is hard to beat.

Rubberwood's plantation-by-product origin gives it a clean renewable story, and we document the legality your customs and compliance teams expect. Every rubberwood bed ships with FSC chain-of-custody on request, Vriksh timber-legality verification, and EUDR-ready geolocation and due-diligence data. Our kiln-drying and boron/pressure treatment are recorded, and all finishes are CARB / TSCA Title VI formaldehyde-compliant — important for painted ranges. Treated right, built to last indoors.
The single most important thing about rubberwood is correct seasoning — and that is where our process is uncompromising. Every board is kiln-dried to stable moisture and boron- or pressure-treated against the fungal stain and borer that affect untreated rubberwood, so the frame we ship is sound and stable for indoor life. We engineer bolt-through rail connections, dowelled headboards and reinforced centre rails with support legs on queen and king builds so the bed carries full sleeper loads without flex or creak. In service, rubberwood asks only for a wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth and a dry buff; keep it in normal dry indoor conditions, avoid standing water and harsh solvents, and touch in painted finishes rather than replacing. Full care and finish guidance ships with every order so your retail customers get consistent advice.
Rubberwood bed sourcing, answered.
Is rubberwood a good material for a bed?
Yes. Rubberwood (Hevea brasiliensis) is a medium-density hardwood with an even, straight grain and good strength-to-weight — stronger and more stable than pine — which makes a sound, well-priced bed frame for twin to king sizes. Because it is pale and uniform, it is the ideal base for painted and stained beds, so it is a workhorse for value and mid-market bedroom ranges.
Why is rubberwood considered eco-friendly?
Rubberwood is the ultimate by-product timber. The tree is grown for latex, and only once it stops producing — at around 25–30 years — is it felled for wood. Using that timber turns an agricultural waste stream into furniture with no additional forest clearance, which gives rubberwood a strong deforestation-free, renewable story. We document it with FSC chain-of-custody and Vriksh timber-legality on request.
Does rubberwood need special treatment?
Yes, and we do it as standard. Freshly cut rubberwood is prone to fungal staining and borer if left untreated, so every board is kiln-dried and boron- or pressure-treated before manufacture. Properly seasoned and treated rubberwood is stable and durable for indoor use — the treatment is routine and essential, and it is built into our process.
What bed sizes and finishes do you offer in rubberwood?
We build US twin to king, UK single to super-king and EU 90–180 cm widths, in platform, slat-base, panel-headboard and storage-drawer builds. Rubberwood's pale, even grain takes paint and stain superbly, so we match it to almost any colour — white, grey, pastel, stained-to-walnut or natural — for painted and mid-market collections.
What is your minimum order for rubberwood beds?
A trial or sample bed can ship LCL (part-container). For best wholesale pricing thereafter, one 20ft full container load is our standard minimum, and we consolidate rubberwood beds with nightstands, chests and other bedroom pieces into a single mixed container.
Is rubberwood suitable for flat-pack online ranges?
Very. Rubberwood's consistent density and clean machining make it reliable for knockdown (flat-pack / RTA) builds with bolt-through hardware, and its value pricing suits online and promotional ranges. We supply retail-ready and Amazon-FBA-ready packaging for Wayfair, Amazon and similar channels.
Approve the colour, then ship from one container up.
Sign off a paint or stain colour on a physical sample, then scale from a trial order to repeat container volumes on a 30–45 day lead time — QC-governed and documented for your market. Read the full species profile in the rubberwood material guide, or compare woods and build options on the beds hub.
