Cane beds — hand-woven rattan headboards on solid-wood frames.
A cane headboard brings light, texture and a relaxed coastal ease that solid panels never will. We manufacture cane and rattan beds in Jodhpur — hand-woven panels set into kiln-dried solid-wood frames — in international sizes, finished to your spec and shipped from a single trial order up to repeat container volumes.
The headboard that lets a bedroom breathe.
Cane webbing is the woven outer bark of the rattan palm, and set into a bed's headboard it does something no solid panel can: it adds pattern and warmth while staying visually light. The open weave keeps a room feeling airy, which is exactly why cane is a signature of coastal, boho, Scandinavian and resort interiors. On our beds the weave is purely decorative — the structure comes from a kiln-dried solid-wood frame and a slat or platform base — so you get the relaxed woven look with none of the fragility buyers sometimes fear. Rattan and cane are fast-growing, renewable and low-waste, which gives the material a genuine sustainability story to carry through to retail. And because the panel is caned by hand, it can be re-caned years later rather than scrapped, giving the bed a lifespan upholstered headboards rarely reach. It is an indoor and covered-veranda material, built as a calm, textural centrepiece.

Natural materials with documented legality.
Cane beds combine a renewable woven panel with a solid-wood frame, and we document both for a clean customs entry. The timber ships with FSC chain-of-custody and Vriksh timber-legality on request and is EUDR-ready, with geolocation and deforestation-free due diligence. We provide US Lacey Act declaration support, UK Timber Regulation coverage and CARB / TSCA formaldehyde-compliant finishes, with social and quality assurance under SEDEX / SMETA, ISO and SGS inspection, and ISPM-15 heat-treated export packing. Rattan and cane are fast-growing renewable materials that reinforce the sustainability story you can carry to retail. Certificate references go directly to serious buyers — never published.

Light to look at, built to last and repairable.
A cane headboard is low-maintenance: dust the weave with a soft brush or vacuum on a low setting, and wipe the timber frame with a barely damp cloth. Keep the bed out of prolonged direct sun, which can dry and yellow natural cane, and away from damp — cane is an indoor and covered-veranda material, not an open-outdoor one. In very dry rooms an occasional light mist helps the weave keep its tension; in humid coastal hotels we tension and seal the panel to hold its shape. The structural load sits on the kiln-dried solid-wood frame and slat base, so the bed stays sturdy regardless of the weave. Best of all, a cane panel can be re-caned years down the line rather than discarded, extending the life of the piece. Full care and finish guidance ships with every order so your retail and hospitality customers get consistent advice.
Cane bed sourcing, answered.
What is the difference between cane and rattan on your beds?
Rattan is the solid climbing palm we use for the frame structure and the headboard's outer bent sections; cane is the thin outer bark of that palm, split and woven into the webbing panel. On a cane bed the headboard is a kiln-dried solid-wood frame with a hand-woven cane panel set into it — so you get the airy woven look with the strength of a timber frame underneath.
Are cane beds strong and suitable for daily use?
Yes. The load is carried by the solid-wood frame and slat or platform base, not the cane itself, so the bed is as sturdy as any timber bed. The woven cane panel is a decorative, non-structural infill in the headboard. We tension the weave tightly and seal it, and the panel can be re-caned years later if ever needed — a repairability most upholstered headboards cannot match.
What sizes do you make cane beds in?
We build to international mattress standards — US Twin, Full, Queen, King and California King; UK Single, Double, King and Super King; and EU 140, 160 and 180 cm. Headboard height, weave pattern and frame profile are all specifiable, and we manufacture to your exact drawing for resort and boutique projects.
Can cane beds be used in humid or coastal hotels?
Cane and rattan are naturally suited to warm, breathable interiors, which is why the look is a coastal and resort staple. For humid locations we kiln-dry the timber, tension and seal the weave, and recommend keeping beds out of direct wet exposure — cane is an indoor and covered-veranda material, not an open-outdoor one. We advise on finish and placement for your climate.
What is your minimum order for cane beds?
A trial order can ship LCL so you can assess the weave and frame before committing. For best wholesale pricing thereafter, one 20ft full container load is our standard minimum, and we consolidate cane beds with matching nightstands, benches, chairs and other categories into a single mixed, compliance-documented container.
Can you make cane beds to our own design and brand?
Yes. We work as ODM (our catalogue designs) and OEM (your drawings, headboard shapes, weave patterns, wood species, finishes and private-label or retail-ready packaging), including arched, curved and cane-and-rattan canopy builds, plus matching coastal and boho bedroom collections.
Approve the weave and finish, then ship from one container up.
Sign off the weave pattern, timber tone and finish on a physical sample, then scale from a trial order to repeat container volumes on a 30–45 day lead time — QC-governed and documented for your market.
