Why brass for a bed

The metal that warms a bedroom instead of cooling it.

Brass — an alloy of copper and zinc — is the metalware the Moradabad cluster has worked for generations, and it gives a bed something steel and iron cannot: warmth. Its golden tone reads as classic, slightly romantic and quietly expensive, equally at home in a heritage townhouse and a modern boutique hotel. Brass is dense and corrosion-resistant, so a well-made frame lasts decades and takes on a living patina that many buyers specifically want; where you prefer it bright, a clear lacquer holds the shine. We braze and hand-polish tube frames, turn finials and posts, and can pair brass rails with solid-wood headboards for a mixed-material look. It is an indoor material by intent — a statement frame that anchors a premium bedroom. For volume retail we also offer brass-finished steel that keeps the look while easing weight, freight and cost.

Import-ready compliance

Metalware with the paperwork importers expect.

A brass bed is primarily a metal product, so quality and social assurance lead: every frame is produced under ISO quality management with SGS third-party inspection available and SEDEX / SMETA ethical audit of the workplace. Where a bed includes solid-wood headboards, those components ship with FSC chain-of-custody and Vriksh timber-legality on request and are EUDR-ready, with US Lacey Act declaration support, UK Timber Regulation coverage and CARB / TSCA formaldehyde-compliant finishes. Any timber packaging is ISPM-15 heat-treated. Certificate references go directly to serious buyers — never published. The result is metalware that clears customs as cleanly as it looks in the room.

Care & durability

A frame built to outlast several mattresses.

Brass is one of the longest-lived bed materials there is. A lacquered frame needs only a dry, soft cloth to stay bright; an unlacquered one can be left to mellow into a warm patina or brought back to a shine with an occasional proprietary brass polish — never abrasive pads, which scratch the surface. Brazed and welded joints are reinforced for the span and take repeated assembly, which matters for hospitality rooms that are moved and reset; we can up-gauge the tube for heavy-rotation venues. Keep solid-wood headboard components out of damp and wipe them with a barely damp cloth. Because brass resists corrosion, the frame tolerates the humidity swings of coastal and tropical hotels better than painted steel. Full care and finish guidance ships with every order so your retail and hospitality customers get consistent advice.

Questions buyers ask

Brass bed sourcing, answered.

Are your brass beds solid brass or brass-finished?

We build both, and we tell you which you are buying. True solid-brass tube frames carry weight, patinate gracefully and are the heirloom option. Brass-plated or brass-finished steel frames give the same warm look at a lower, more freight-friendly price point for volume retail. We also make brass-and-wood beds pairing brass rails or posts with a solid-wood headboard. Specify your tier and we quote accordingly.

Will a brass bed tarnish, and how is it finished?

Brass develops a living patina — many buyers prize that mellow ageing. Where you want it held bright, we apply a clear lacquer that seals the surface so it stays polished with only a dry dust. Left unlacquered, brass can be returned to a shine with an occasional metal polish. We offer polished, brushed/satin, antique and dark-aged brass finishes, matched to your collection.

What sizes do you make brass beds in?

We build to international mattress standards — US Twin, Full, Queen, King and California King; UK Single, Double, King and Super King; and EU 140, 160 and 180 cm. Post height, rail design and finial style are all specifiable, and we manufacture to your exact drawing for boutique-hotel and contract projects.

Are brass beds strong enough for contract and hospitality use?

Yes. Our tube frames use welded and reinforced joints with cross-slat or platform support engineered for the span, and we can up-gauge the tube for heavy-rotation hospitality. Brass-and-wood builds combine a welded metal frame with kiln-dried solid-wood headboards. We size the structure to your mattress and loading and supply on this basis to resort and boutique projects.

What is your minimum order for brass beds?

A trial order can ship LCL so you can assess weight, finish and joinery before committing. For best wholesale pricing thereafter, one 20ft full container load is our standard minimum, and we consolidate brass beds with matching nightstands, mirrors, lighting and other metalware into a single mixed, compliance-documented container.

Can you make brass beds to our own design and brand?

Yes. We work as ODM (our catalogue frames) and OEM (your drawings, post heights, finial shapes, finishes and private-label or retail-ready packaging), including bespoke four-poster, canopy and brass-and-wood builds, and matching bedroom metalware produced as a coordinated collection.
