Mid century modern wardrobes, built in solid wood — made in Jodhpur.
Clean-lined wardrobes and armoires with tapered legs, cane or tambour fronts and slim brass pulls — in solid teak, sheesham, mango and acacia. Assembled or flat-pack, finished to your spec, and documented for clean customs clearance in the US, EU, UK, Australia and the Gulf.
The mid-century look sells — in real solid wood, not printed veneer.
Mid century modern is one of the most durable styles in home retail: warm wood tones, honest rectilinear form, splayed or tapered legs and a quiet brass or cane accent. The look lives or dies on the material — a veneered panel wardrobe reads flat and cheap the moment a customer touches it. We build the style in genuine Indian hardwoods, so the grain, warmth and weight that define mid-century are real, and the piece carries a premium retail price and survives a long sea journey. Every wardrobe is anchored in a solid-wood build; we do not position as a plywood or flat-panel supplier.
The design language
Low horizontal proportions, flush or inset doors, recessed finger-pulls or slim brass hardware, and the signature angled leg — tapered dowel, splayed, or a hairpin-style wrought-iron base for a wood-and-metal variant.
Fronts & detailing
Woven cane and tambour slat fronts are the defining mid-century detail. We also build flat walnut-tone fronts, two-tone bodies, and subtle fluting or reeding by CNC — finished matte to let the grain speak.
Use cases
Retail bedroom collections, boutique hotel and serviced-apartment guest rooms, interior-design projects and online marketplaces — flat-pack versions tuned for Amazon-FBA-ready and parcel-carrier delivery.
Four hardwoods, one unmistakable mid-century warmth.
The style began in teak, and teak remains the benchmark — but each of our hardwoods delivers the honey-to-walnut tone and clean grain the look depends on. We finish them to a consistent mid-century palette so a range reads as one family on the shelf.
Teak — the classic
Golden-brown tone, tight straight grain and natural oils that make it dimensionally stable in air-conditioned and humid climates alike. The definitive mid-century hardwood, ideal for statement pieces and premium collections.
Sheesham — Indian rosewood
Dense, hard-wearing and richly figured, sheesham takes a walnut-tone finish beautifully. CITES-compliant and Vriksh-verified, it is the signature Jodhpur hardwood and our most requested mid-century body.
Mango — the value choice
A fast-growing, sustainable hardwood with an open grain that accepts honey, walnut and smoked stains cleanly. Strong value at retail and an easy win for high-volume mid-century ranges.
Acacia — grain and movement
Hard and durable with dramatic figure and colour variation, acacia suits buyers who want visible character and warmth in a contemporary silhouette. Finishes matte or lightly waxed.

Hardwood wardrobes clear customs — because the paperwork is ready first.
A mid-century wardrobe is a heavy hardwood piece, so timber legality is scrutinised at the border — especially for teak and sheesham. Our sheesham is CITES-compliant and Vriksh-verified, our chain-of-custody is FSC-documented, and our due diligence is EUDR-ready with geolocation. We support US Lacey Act declarations, UK Timber Regulation, CARB / TSCA formaldehyde-compliant finishes and ISPM-15 heat-treated packing — so your container moves while others wait at the port.

| EU & UK market | EUDR-ready · geolocation · UKTR |

Finished to keep its warmth on the shelf and in the home.
Mid-century wood tones are protected with matte CARB / TSCA-compliant lacquers, waxes or oils and the timber is seasoned to reduce movement in transit and in air-conditioned climates. Woven cane fronts are hand-set and stretched to stay taut, and brass hardware is lacquer-sealed against tarnish. We supply care guidance with every order — wipe clean with a dry or lightly damp cloth, avoid direct heat and standing moisture, keep cane away from prolonged damp, and re-wax oiled finishes periodically. Flat-pack units arrive with legs, fittings and clear assembly instructions, and finish, leg profile, cane and distress-level are locked on the approved sample before production.
What buyers ask before ordering.
What makes a wardrobe mid century modern?
A mid century modern wardrobe uses clean rectilinear lines, a warm honey-to-walnut wood tone, splayed or tapered legs, slim recessed or brass pulls, and often a cane or tambour front. We build the look in genuine solid wood — teak, sheesham, mango and acacia — rather than veneered panel board, so the grain and warmth that define the style are real.
Which wood is best for a mid century modern wardrobe?
Teak is the classic mid-century hardwood for its golden tone and stability, and we also build the style in solid sheesham, mango and acacia finished to a walnut or honey tone. Every piece carries a solid-wood component; we do not supply plywood or flat-panel wardrobes.
Do your mid century wardrobes ship assembled or flat-pack?
Both. We produce fully assembled pieces and knockdown / flat-pack (RTA) wardrobes with legs, cane fronts and hardware packed separately. Flat-pack lowers freight and breakage and raises container density, which is why most importers and online sellers choose it.
Can you make mid century wardrobes to our own design or private label?
Yes. We work as ODM (our catalogue designs) and OEM — manufacturing to your drawings, dimensions, leg profile, finish and private-label or retail-ready packaging, with custom CNC detailing and bespoke sizing to your market's standards.
Are these wardrobes compliant for import into the US and EU?
Yes. We document FSC chain-of-custody, Vriksh timber-legality and CITES-compliant sheesham, are EUDR-ready with geolocation and deforestation-free due diligence, and support US Lacey Act declarations, UK Timber Regulation, CARB/TSCA formaldehyde-compliant finishes and ISPM-15 export packing.
What is your minimum order and lead time?
A trial or sample wardrobe can ship LCL (part-container); for best wholesale pricing thereafter one 20ft full container load (FCL) is our standard minimum, and mid-century wardrobes mix freely with beds, dressers and nightstands in one consolidated container. Typical lead time is 30–45 days from approved sample, shipped FOB or CIF from Mundra / Nhava Sheva.
