Live edge sideboards — natural-edge solid-wood credenzas, built for export.
A live edge sideboard keeps the tree's own silhouette along the top, so every cabinet is a one-of-a-kind statement no factory flat-pack can copy. We manufacture them in Jodhpur in solid acacia, sheesham, mango and reclaimed wood — raw edge sealed and smoothed, paired with wood, iron or epoxy detailing, legally sourced, FSC and EUDR-ready, and shipped from a single trial order up to repeat container volumes.
A storage cabinet that doubles as the room's hero piece.
Live edge furniture has moved from a design trend to a staple of the premium casual-luxury look — the organic, biophilic feel buyers now want in dining rooms, lofts and boutique hotels. On a sideboard that instinct pays off twice. The cabinet still does the ordinary work of a credenza — linen, glassware, serving pieces and display — but the undulating natural edge turns a utility item into the piece a shopper photographs and an interior designer specifies by name. Because each top follows the real contour of the board it was cut from, no two cabinets are alike, which lets retailers position them as handmade and designers promise their clients something genuinely singular. We build the whole carcass from kiln-dried solid hardwood rather than veneer, so the live edge is real wood through and through, and we seal the raw contour to keep it smooth, splinter-free and ready for years of daily handling.
Four solid woods, each a different live edge character.
The natural edge looks different in every species. Pick the wood for the look, the durability and the price point your programme needs — we finish and seal the live edge on all four.
| Wood | Look & character | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Acacia | Bold honey-to-chocolate contrast, high hardness, dramatic figure along the edge | Statement retail pieces that resist dents and daily knocks |
| Sheesham (Indian rosewood) | Deep, even brown-to-amber figure; dense, classic and highly durable | Premium, heirloom-positioned credenzas |
| Mango | Lighter, paler tone with softer grain; cost-advantaged | Volume programmes and brighter, Scandinavian-leaning ranges |
| Reclaimed / old wood | Weathered, characterful surface with a sustainability story | Rustic and eco-led ranges; FSC and reclaimed-content messaging |
Natural edge shape, grain and colour vary board to board, so we recommend approving a physical finish and edge sample before production. Request a live edge sideboard sample and we will send wood, edge and finish references for your range. For full species detail, see the acacia wood material guide and the sheesham wood material guide.
Two-door to long four-door credenzas, matched to your room.

Build options
Live edge on the top alone, or carried onto door fronts and ends for a full natural-edge statement. Two-, three- or four-door carcasses, drawer banks, open display or wine shelving, and adjustable internal shelves. Pair with solid-wood legs, wrought-iron or matt-black steel bases, or hairpin and A-frame legs, with brass or turned-wood hardware and optional soft-close runners.
Finishes & edge detail
Raw edge de-barked, sanded and sealed smooth; optional clear or tinted epoxy resin fill in checks and along the edge for a river-style look. Natural, clear-matt, honey, walnut or smoked tones to suit the wood — all in CARB / TSCA Title VI formaldehyde-compliant formulations, with sealed satin or matt tops that wipe clean.
Packing & shipping
Assembled, or knockdown (flat-pack / RTA) with the live edge top packed separately to protect the contour and cut freight and breakage. Carton, retail-ready, Amazon-FBA-ready or branded packaging, ISPM-15 heat-treated, shipped FOB or CIF from Mundra / Nhava Sheva.
One statement cabinet, several channels.
Dining & living rooms
The classic use — a long, low credenza for linen, glassware and display, with the natural edge turning it into the piece buyers photograph for the catalogue and specify as the room's focal point.
Designers & private label
Because each top is unique, the piece reads as genuinely bespoke. We build to your drawings, finishes and brand under private-label manufacturing, with custom edge, wood and base combinations.
Hospitality & contract
Reception, restaurant and boutique-hotel storage that reinforces a natural, crafted interior. Sealed finishes take daily handling; built to hospitality and contract furniture specs.
Natural-edge cabinets documented to clear your market cleanly.

Finished to your brief, built to take years of service.
A live edge sideboard is as durable as any solid-wood credenza, because the natural edge is cosmetic — the carcass underneath is kiln-dried hardwood, mortise-and-tenon and dowel-jointed for strength. The sealed raw edge is sanded smooth so it will not splinter or catch, and it wipes down like any finished surface. Day to day, wipe the top and edge with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry immediately; avoid standing water, harsh solvents, abrasive pads and prolonged direct sun, which can flatten grain contrast over time. A periodic wax or light re-oil keeps the figure and the natural edge deep and lustrous. Where a top carries epoxy resin fill, that surface is low-maintenance and simply wipes clean. Full care, finish and edge-maintenance guidance ships with every order, so your retail and hospitality customers get consistent advice.
Live edge sideboard sourcing, answered.
What is a live edge sideboard?
A live edge sideboard is a storage cabinet whose top (and sometimes doors or ends) keeps the natural, undulating outer edge of the tree instead of a sawn-straight line. The bark is removed and the raw contour is sanded and sealed, so each piece carries the one-of-a-kind silhouette of the board it came from. We build the carcass in solid hardwood — acacia, sheesham, mango or reclaimed wood — so no two cabinets are identical and every one reads as a handmade statement piece.
Which wood is best for a live edge sideboard?
It depends on the look and the market. Acacia gives bold honey-to-chocolate contrast and high hardness; sheesham (Indian rosewood) offers deep, even figure and classic durability; mango is lighter, paler and cost-advantaged for volume programmes; and reclaimed wood delivers a weathered, sustainable character with a story. We finish the natural edge on all four and send physical grain references so you can lock the wood and finish before production.
Can you fit metal or epoxy to a live edge sideboard?
Yes. We pair live edge tops with wrought-iron or matt-black steel bases and hairpin or A-frame legs for an industrial look, and we can fill checks and the natural edge with clear or tinted epoxy resin for a river-style finish. Both are made to your drawings as part of our OEM and private-label work, with the same compliance documentation as our standard lines.
What sizes do live edge sideboards come in?
Standard builds run roughly 120-200 cm (47-79 in) wide, 40-48 cm (16-19 in) deep and 75-90 cm (30-36 in) high, in two-, three- and four-door layouts with optional drawer banks and open shelving. Because each top follows a natural edge, exact width varies slightly board to board; we build to your target dimensions, door count and internal layout for contract, retail and private-label programmes.
What is your minimum order for live edge sideboards?
A trial or sample order can ship LCL (part-container). For best wholesale pricing thereafter, one 20ft full container load is our standard minimum, and we consolidate live edge sideboards with dining tables, consoles, river tables and other categories into a single mixed container shipped FOB or CIF from Mundra or Nhava Sheva.
Are your live edge sideboards compliant for US and EU import?
Yes. Each piece ships with FSC chain-of-custody on request, Vriksh timber-legality verification and EUDR-ready geolocation and deforestation-free due diligence, with CITES-compliant handling of sheesham. We support US Lacey Act declarations, UK Timber Regulation, CARB / TSCA Title VI formaldehyde-compliant finishes and ISPM-15 heat-treated export packing.
Approve the wood and edge, then ship from one container up.
Lock the wood, natural-edge finish, base and hardware on a physical sample, then scale from a trial order to repeat container volumes on a 30-45 day lead time — QC-governed and documented for your market. Compare woods, builds and layouts on the sideboards hub, or see the matching natural-edge dining range on the live edge tables collection.
