Rustic Side Tables — Solid Wood, Export-Ready from Jodhpur
Honest, hard-wearing side tables in solid sheesham, mango, acacia and genuine reclaimed wood — grain, saw marks and live edges left to speak. Built for importers, hospitality and private-label brands who need rustic character with documented timber legality and container-ready logistics.
What it is
A side table that looks lived-in on purpose
A rustic side table is a small occasional table — typically placed beside a sofa, armchair or bed — where the material does the styling. Instead of a flawless lacquered surface, you get visible grain, knots, natural colour variation, and often a chunky top, turned legs or a wrought-iron base. The look is warm, grounded and a little imperfect: farmhouse, industrial-rustic, reclaimed-barnwood and boho interiors all lean on it.
We manufacture these as true solid-wood pieces. Every table carries at least one solid-wood component — most are solid through the top, legs and apron — and we pair wood with wrought iron, stone or a live edge where the design calls for it. We do not finish MDF or veneer to look rustic; the character is real, which is what wholesale buyers and designers are actually sourcing.
The wood
Four woods, four kinds of rustic
The species sets the whole character of the piece. Choose by the look, weight and story you want on the shelf or in the room.
Sheesham (Indian rosewood)
Dense, strong and deeply figured, with dark-to-honey streaking that reads as premium rustic. The workhorse of Jodhpur furniture — excellent for chunky tops and carved detail. Handled CITES-compliant as Dalbergia sissoo.
Mango
Lighter in weight and wallet, with a lively golden-to-grey grain that takes stain beautifully. A favourite for colourful or distressed rustic ranges and fast-moving online SKUs.
Acacia
Hard, water-resistant and richly striped, so even a plain cube table looks characterful. Robust enough for high-traffic hospitality side tables.
Reclaimed / old wood
Salvaged timber with genuine age — nail holes, saw marks, patina no finish can fake. The most sustainable, most authentic rustic option, and a strong deforestation-free story for your buyers.

Finishes & construction
How the rustic look is built
Rustic is a finishing discipline as much as a timber choice. We hand-build the effect you specify:
- Natural & matt-sealed — the grain left open under a low-sheen protective coat; the cleanest, most contemporary rustic.
- Distressed & antique — hand-sanded edges, light wire-brushing and tonal glazing for an aged, well-loved surface.
- Wax & oil — a soft, tactile finish that deepens the grain and is easy to refresh over a table's life.
- Live-edge & raw — the natural edge of the board retained, ideal for statement side and nesting tables.
- Wood + wrought iron — turned or plank tops on a hand-forged iron base for the industrial-rustic look.
All finishes are offered in CARB / TSCA Title VI formaldehyde-compliant specification for US and EU buyers. Bases ship as turned solid wood, hairpin, or welded wrought-iron frames; drawers and shelf options are available for storage-forward designs.

Care
Looking after a rustic side table
Rustic finishes are forgiving by nature, which is part of the appeal — small marks blend into the character rather than spoiling it. For your care cards and listings:
- Dust with a soft dry or barely-damp cloth; wipe spills promptly rather than letting them sit.
- Avoid harsh chemical cleaners and standing water, which can lift any wood finish over time.
- Keep solid-wood pieces away from direct heat vents and prolonged direct sun to limit movement.
- Refresh wax- and oil-finished tops occasionally with a suitable wood wax or oil to restore depth.
- Expect gentle seasonal movement — a natural, expected behaviour of genuine solid timber.
Why source from us
The trust behind every table
Rustic furniture is easy to find and hard to source responsibly. Our wedge is documentation most rivals can't match: timber legality under FSC chain-of-custody and Vriksh, EUDR due-diligence and geolocation data buyer-ready, US Lacey Act declaration support, UKTR documentation, and ISO, SGS and SEDEX / SMETA for quality and ethical-social assurance. Certificate numbers are shared directly with serious buyers — verifiable, never published.
Beyond compliance: a Jodhpur factory plus a vetted multi-cluster network that scales from a trial order to repeat containers under managed QC; knockdown engineering that cuts your freight and breakage; and genuine handcraft that gives buyers a credible, deforestation-free alternative to mass production. Explore the full solid-wood furniture range, review our EUDR readiness and timber due-diligence, or see how we document legality across every order.
A factory visit is available on prior intimation — see the piece, the network and the QC for yourself.
FAQ
Rustic side table — buyer questions
What wood are your rustic side tables made from?
We build rustic side tables in solid sheesham (Indian rosewood), mango, acacia and genuine reclaimed/old wood. Every piece has at least one solid-wood component — we do not supply plywood or panel look-alikes. Wood species, finish and leg/base style (wrought-iron, turned wood or hairpin) are specified per order.
What is the minimum order quantity for rustic side tables?
A trial or sample order can ship LCL so you can assess quality before committing. For best competitive pricing we ask for one 20ft FCL minimum, and we support mixed-category containers so rustic side tables can travel with coffee tables, consoles and décor in a single consolidated load.
Are your rustic side tables available flat-pack or knockdown?
Yes. Many rustic side tables ship knockdown/RTA with the top, frame and base packed flat, which lowers freight cost and transit breakage and maximizes container density. Fully assembled construction is also available where the design or buyer prefers it.
Do the finishes meet US and EU compliance requirements?
Yes. We use CARB / TSCA Title VI formaldehyde-compliant finishes and can supply Lacey Act declaration support for the US and UK Timber Regulation documentation for the UK. Timber legality is backed by FSC chain-of-custody and Vriksh, with EUDR due-diligence and geolocation data buyer-ready.
Can you produce a rustic side table to our own design or private label?
Yes. We work ODM (our ready designs) and OEM (full custom, make-to-spec and private-label). Custom CNC carving, bespoke dimensions, client finishes and retail-ready, Amazon-FBA-ready, branded or gift packaging are all available from sampling through to repeat container volumes.
What is the typical lead time for a rustic side table order?
Typical production lead time is 30–45 days from approved sample and confirmed order, shipping FOB or CIF from Mundra or Nhava Sheva. Urgent orders can be accommodated at a premium — share your in-store or launch date with your RFQ and we will confirm against current capacity.
