Reclaimed floating shelves — salvaged old wood on a hidden bracket.
Cut from real salvaged timber — old doors, beams and retired furniture — the reclaimed floating shelf carries a patina no new wood can fake, and the strongest sustainability story we offer. We manufacture it in Jodhpur with a concealed rod or blind cleat so it appears to float, de-nailed, re-kilned and graded sound. Legally sourced, FSC and EUDR-ready, shipped from a trial order up to repeat container volumes.
Character you cannot manufacture — only recover.
A floating shelf is a small object doing one big job: it is a flat wooden line on a bare wall, and everyone is looking at the wood. That is exactly why reclaimed timber suits it so well. The board has already had a life — as old doors, beams, railway sleepers, building wood or retired furniture, much of it aged sheesham, teak and mango — and it keeps the evidence: old nail holes, bolt scars, saw texture, uneven colour and a deep, settled patina that develops only over decades. No stain or distressing process truly imitates it. Set that board on a concealed bracket so nothing interrupts the grain, and you have a piece that reads as authentic the moment it goes up. It is also the strongest sustainability case we can make — it reuses timber already in circulation and avoids new felling — and it performs: long-seasoned hardwood that we re-kiln and re-mill is exceptionally stable and holds its line under load. Every board is graded sound, so you get the character without compromising the shelf.

Dimensions, brackets and finishes — matched to your range.
Every dimension below is a standard starting point. Sizes are repeatable for a coherent retail range or a set of three; we build reclaimed floating shelves to your exact length, depth, thickness, edge and bracket.
| Format | Typical size (L × D × T) | Mounting | Typical use |
|---|---|---|---|
| Single shelf | 24 × 8 × 1.5 in · 600 × 200 × 38 mm | Concealed rod | Living rooms, kitchens, retail walls |
| Long shelf | 36–48 × 8 × 1.75 in · 900–1200 × 200 × 45 mm | Concealed rod, twin fixing | Dining walls, display runs |
| Set of three | 18 / 24 / 30 in graduated | Concealed rod | E-commerce bundle, gallery wall |
| Industrial pipe shelf | 30 × 10 × 1.5 in · 760 × 250 × 38 mm | Exposed iron pipe / L-bracket | Loft, café, bar, reception |
Mounting options
Concealed steel rod or blind cleat set into the board for the clean floating line, or exposed wrought-iron pipe, L-bracket and corbel for the industrial look. Wall anchors, plugs and fitting instructions packed in; load matched to the span and your market's expectations.
Finishes
Natural patina sealed as found, lightly oiled, or a clear matte lacquer that locks in the character — all in CARB / TSCA Title VI formaldehyde-compliant formulations. We retain, not sand away, the authentic marks, and seal the edges for kitchen and bathroom walls.
Packing & shipping
Corner-protected boards with bracket kits bagged and boxed separately; flat-packed for freight density. Carton, retail-ready, Amazon-FBA-ready or branded packaging; ISPM-15 heat-treated export packing, FOB or CIF from Mundra / Nhava Sheva.
The cleanest deforestation story, fully documented.
Reclaimed timber is the strongest sustainability case in our range — it reuses wood already in circulation and avoids new felling — and we document it for your market. Every order ships with FSC chain-of-custody where applicable, Vriksh timber-legality verification, and EUDR-ready due diligence and salvage traceability, with US Lacey Act declaration support and UK Timber Regulation coverage. Finishes are CARB / TSCA Title VI compliant, work is covered by SEDEX / SMETA ethical and ISO / SGS quality inspection, and every shelf ships in ISPM-15 heat-treated export packing. Certificate references go to serious buyers directly — never published.

Already proven by decades of use.
Reclaimed hardwood has spent decades drying and settling, so once we de-nail, re-kiln and re-mill it, it is exceptionally stable and far less prone to warping than new timber — a real advantage for a shelf that must stay flat and level under weight. We cut away any unsound sections and grade every board before the concealed rod goes in, so the character you keep is purely cosmetic. Day to day, dust with a soft dry cloth and wipe spills promptly; the sealed patina resists everyday handling, and existing marks mean new ones simply blend in. Re-oil oiled finishes once or twice a year to keep the colour rich, or just dust a lacquered finish. Fix into studs or use the supplied anchors and respect the stated load on each shelf, keep the piece indoors in a stable environment away from standing damp, and seal the edges where it meets a kitchen or bathroom wall. Full care guidance ships with every order so your retail and design customers can advise with confidence.
Reclaimed floating shelf sourcing, answered.
What is a reclaimed floating shelf made from?
Each board is cut from genuine salvaged timber — old doors, beams, railway and building wood, and retired furniture, much of it aged sheesham, teak and mango. We de-nail, clean, kiln-dry and re-mill the stock, then set a concealed steel rod or blind cleat into the board. The shelf keeps its authentic marks — old nail holes, bolt scars, saw texture, colour shifts and a deep settled patina that no new timber or applied stain can imitate.
How is the shelf mounted, and can you hide the bracket?
Yes. The standard build is a concealed floating bracket — a steel rod or blind cleat set into the back of the board so no fixing shows and the shelf appears to float. We also make exposed wrought-iron pipe, L-bracket and corbel styles for the industrial look. Wall anchors, plugs and fitting instructions are packed in, we match the fixing to your market's load expectations, and we can private-label the hardware kit.
Will every reclaimed floating shelf look the same?
No, and that is the appeal. Because each board comes from different salvaged stock, colour, grain and the pattern of old marks vary from shelf to shelf — every piece is genuinely one of a kind. Length, depth and thickness are fully repeatable, so a retail range or a set of three stays coherent; we can grade to a tighter or looser character band and show you the range on a sample before production.
Is reclaimed wood strong enough to hold weight on a wall?
Yes, often more so than new timber. Reclaimed hardwood has already spent decades drying and settling, so once we re-kiln and re-mill it, it is exceptionally stable and unlikely to warp — a real advantage for a shelf that must stay flat under load. We cut away any unsound sections, grade every board, and size the concealed rod and fixings to the span, with stated load guidance supplied per shelf.
What is your minimum order for reclaimed floating shelves?
A trial or sample order can ship LCL (part-container). For best wholesale pricing thereafter, one 20ft full container load (FCL) is our standard minimum, and floating shelves consolidate well into a mixed container alongside reclaimed tables, consoles, benches and other furniture and décor. Flat-packed boards and bracket kits raise container density and cut freight per unit.
Can you make reclaimed floating shelves to our own design and brand?
Yes. We work as ODM from our catalogue and as OEM to your drawings — your length, depth, thickness, edge profile, board character, bracket type, finish and private-label or Amazon-FBA-ready packaging, including CNC detailing on salvaged stock and your logo on the product or box.
Approve a sample, then ship from one container up.
Sign off the board character, bracket style and finish on a physical sample and agree a character band, then scale from a trial order to repeat container volumes on a 30–45 day lead time — QC-governed and documented for your market.
