Live edge floating shelves, manufactured for export — natural-edge solid wood, concealed-bracket.

The organic, bark-line shelf that photographs beautifully and sells at a premium. We cut each live edge board from solid acacia, mango, sheesham and reclaimed wood, seal the natural edge, and hide the bracket — so what your customer sees is the tree, not the fixing.

What makes it a live edge

One straight wall line, one organic edge — the shelf that looks like the tree it came from.

A live edge floating shelf keeps the natural, undulating contour of the timber on its front face instead of being ripped and planed dead-straight. We cut each board from genuine solid wood — not veneered panel — square the back and wall side for a clean mount, then sand and seal the natural edge so it stays smooth and splinter-free. A concealed steel rod or blind cleat is set into the board, leaving no visible bracket and letting the character of the grain carry the piece. It is the single most photographed shelf style in US and EU interiors, and it commands a higher retail price than a plain straight board.

Why buyers put it on the wall

A high-margin SKU that merchandises itself.

Every piece is one-of-a-kind

Because the edge follows the grain of each board, no two shelves are identical — the "unique, natural, handmade" story that lifts perceived value and justifies a premium price online and in store.

Solid wood, not veneer

These are full-thickness timber boards, so the natural edge is real wood through and through. They wear gracefully and can be re-oiled rather than replaced — a genuine quality claim for your listing.

Invisible mounting

A hidden rod or cleat keeps the wall line clean so nothing competes with the organic edge. Fixings and instructions are packed in, matched to your market's load expectations.

Care & longevity

A natural edge that ages into a feature, not a fault.

Live edge boards are solid timber, so they can be refreshed rather than discarded. We seal the natural edge and face for the destination climate and supply care guidance your customer can follow.

  • Dust the natural edge with a dry or barely-damp cloth; wipe spills promptly and avoid soaking the grain.
  • Keep clear of direct heat and prolonged direct sun to limit movement in natural timber.
  • Re-oil oiled finishes periodically to keep the edge rich; lacquered boards need only occasional cleaning.
  • Fix into studs or use the supplied anchors and respect the stated load — thicker live edge boards carry well when mounted correctly.

Questions buyers ask

Live edge floating shelves — the detail that matters for import.

What is a live edge floating shelf?

A live edge floating shelf is a solid-wood wall board that keeps the tree's natural, organic outer contour — the undulating bark-line edge — on one or both long sides, rather than being sawn and planed perfectly straight. We cut each board from solid acacia, mango, sheesham, teak or reclaimed timber, sand and seal the natural edge, and set a concealed steel rod or blind cleat into the back so the shelf appears to float with no visible bracket.

Which woods and finishes do you use for live edge shelves?

We manufacture live edge floating shelves in solid acacia, mango, sheesham (Indian rosewood), teak and reclaimed/old wood — each chosen for strong figure and a characterful natural edge. Finishes include natural and clear oil, matte and satin lacquer, whitewash, light and dark custom stain, and a bark-on or bark-removed natural edge. All coatings are CARB / TSCA-compliant low-formaldehyde, and we match your Pantone or physical sample.

Do live edge floating shelves come with concealed mounting hardware?

Yes. Each shelf is drilled for a hidden floating bracket — a steel rod or blind cleat set into the back of the board so no fixings show and the natural edge reads as the feature. Wall plugs, screws and fitting instructions are packed in, we match the fixing to your market's load expectations, and we can private-label the hardware kit. Exposed wrought-iron bracket versions are available if you prefer the industrial look.

What is the minimum order for wholesale live edge shelves?

A trial or sample order can ship LCL (part-container) so you can approve the wood, edge and finish first. For best wholesale pricing thereafter, one 20ft full container load (FCL) is our standard minimum, and live edge shelves consolidate well into a mixed container alongside other floating shelves, furniture and décor. Flat-pack reduces freight per unit and breakage.

Can every live edge shelf be identical, or is each one unique?

Because the edge follows the natural grain of each board, no two live edge shelves are ever perfectly identical — that is the selling point buyers want. We work within an agreed range for length, depth, thickness and overall look so the pieces are consistent as a sellable SKU while each retains its own individual edge. We can also match a signature profile across a production run.

Are your live edge shelves compliant for import into the US and EU?

Yes. We document FSC chain-of-custody, Vriksh timber-legality and EUDR-ready geolocation and deforestation-free due diligence, and we support US Lacey Act declarations, UK Timber Regulation, CARB / TSCA finishes and ISPM-15 heat-treated export packing — so your shipment clears customs cleanly.
