Reclaimed wood dining tables — salvaged old-growth timber with a story on every top.

A reclaimed dining table is the one piece in a range that cannot be mass-produced identically — because each top is composed from genuine salvaged timber: old sheesham, teak, mango and acacia reclaimed from dismantled houses, beams, doors, railway sleepers and old boats. The result is a dense, settled hardwood surface carrying real age — nail holes, saw marks, patina and filled checks — and the strongest sustainability story in solid wood. We manufacture reclaimed dining tables in Jodhpur, legally sourced, FSC and EUDR-ready, finished to your spec and shipped from a single trial order up to repeat container volumes.

Why reclaimed wood for a dining table

Character you cannot fake, stability that comes with age, and a sustainability story that sells.

A dining table is the centrepiece of a room and the hardest-working surface in it, and reclaimed wood answers both demands at once. The timber is salvaged from structures and furniture that stood for decades, which means it is slow-grown, dense old-growth hardwood that has already seasoned and moved through many seasons. Once we de-nail, grade and re-dry it, a reclaimed top is dimensionally settled and strongly resistant to the warping and cupping that can trouble long tables made from new stock. On the surface, that history shows: original nail and bolt holes, saw and plane marks, bolt scars, colour variation between boards and the depth of a decades-old patina. We compose and lay up boards deliberately so each top reads as designed, not accidental. And the commercial edge is real — because the wood is reused rather than newly felled, no standing tree is cut for the table, giving retail, e-commerce and hospitality buyers a genuine deforestation-free, circular-sourcing claim they can put on the label and the listing.

Import-ready compliance

The greenest story in solid wood — documented for every market.

Reclaimed timber is the strongest sustainability claim we offer, because the wood is reused rather than newly cut — but modern buyers need the paperwork behind the story, not just the story. Every reclaimed dining table ships with FSC chain-of-custody on request, Vriksh timber-legality verification, and EUDR-ready geolocation and deforestation-free due diligence, with CITES-compliant handling where salvaged sheesham (Dalbergia sissoo) is involved. We provide US Lacey Act declaration support, UK Timber Regulation coverage, and CARB / TSCA Title VI formaldehyde-compliant finishes, with social and quality assurance under SEDEX / SMETA, ISO and SGS inspection, and ISPM-15 heat-treated export packing. Certificate references go directly to serious buyers — never published.

Care & durability

Built from timber that has already proven itself.

Reclaimed boards are de-nailed, graded and kiln-dried to a stable moisture content before joinery, with old checks and holes filled and stabilised, mortise-and-tenon, dowelled or bolt-on joints, and reinforced bases on knockdown builds — so a long reclaimed top stays flat and tight under the loading a dining table takes. Because the timber is dense, decades-seasoned old-growth, it is forgiving in use and less prone to fresh movement than new stock. Day to day, a reclaimed dining table needs only a wipe with a soft cloth, slightly damp for food marks, then dried; wipe standing liquid promptly, use trivets under hot dishes, and avoid harsh solvents, since no solid wood is fully waterproof. A sealed matt or satin lacquer resists heat marks, sauces and drink rings for restaurant and family use, while oiled and waxed finishes give a softer, more natural hand and can be re-oiled once or twice a year to feed the grain and hold the patina. Keep tables out of direct, prolonged sun to protect the tone. The authentic marks — nail holes, saw lines, filled checks — are part of the design and are sealed in, not faults, and because the timber is a dense hardwood, minor new marks can be sanded and re-finished rather than replaced. Full care and finish guidance ships with every order so your buyers give consistent advice.

Questions buyers ask

Reclaimed wood dining table sourcing, answered.

What is a reclaimed wood dining table made from?

It is built from solid timber salvaged from a previous life — old sheesham, teak, mango and acacia reclaimed from dismantled houses, doors, beams, railway sleepers, boats and old furniture across India. The boards are de-nailed, kiln-dried, graded and re-milled into dining tops, aprons and legs. Because the timber is often decades-old and slow, dense old-growth, a reclaimed top is typically more stable and harder-wearing than new stock, and it carries genuine character — old nail holes, saw and plane marks, bolt scars, filled checks and layered patina — that no new wood can imitate. We select and compose boards so every top reads intentional rather than random.

Is reclaimed wood durable enough for a dining table?

Yes. Reclaimed timber is usually old-growth hardwood that has already seasoned and moved for decades, so once we re-dry it to a stable moisture content it is dimensionally settled and very resistant to warping, cupping and splitting across a long dining top. It is a dense, hard surface that stands up to cutlery, plates, scrubbing and the daily loading a dining table takes. We fill and stabilise old cracks and holes, reinforce joints with mortise-and-tenon, dowel or bolt-on hardware, and seal the top to your required durability — making it well suited to heavy home, restaurant and hotel use.

What finishes are available on reclaimed wood dining tables?

Reclaimed tops are usually finished to celebrate their age. We offer natural oiled and waxed looks that deepen the patina, clear matt or satin lacquer that seals the surface wipe-clean and food-safe for commercial use, and lightly sanded or wire-brushed textures that keep the grain and tool marks you can feel. Colour can be left as the mixed natural tones of the salvaged boards, or evened with a stain, whitewash or distressed effect. All finishes use CARB / TSCA Title VI formaldehyde-compliant formulations. A reclaimed top pairs especially well with a powder-coated wrought-iron base for an industrial or rustic look.

How is a reclaimed wood dining table different from a new solid-wood one?

Both are solid wood, but a reclaimed table reuses existing old-growth timber rather than newly felled wood, so no standing tree is cut for it — a credible sustainability and deforestation-free story your buyers can label. The timber is older, denser and already seasoned, so it is very stable, and it carries authentic character marks and patina that give every top a unique, well-worn look. A new table in acacia, mango or sheesham offers cleaner, more uniform and repeatable grain at scale. We help you match reclaimed or new to your price point, volume and the look your range needs.

Can you supply reclaimed wood dining tables with matching pieces and in volume?

Yes. We consolidate reclaimed dining tables with matching reclaimed dining chairs, benches, buffets, sideboards and other categories into one compliant container. A trial or sample order can ship LCL; for best wholesale pricing thereafter, one 20ft full container load is our standard minimum. Because supply depends on what we salvage, large repeat programmes are planned ahead so grain, tone and sizing stay consistent across runs.

Can you make reclaimed wood dining tables to our own design and brand?

Yes. We work as ODM (our catalogue designs) and OEM (your drawings, dimensions, finishes and private-label or retail-ready packaging), including custom CNC detailing, flat-pack / knockdown builds that cut freight and breakage on long tops, and reclaimed tops on iron, trestle, pedestal or solid-wood bases.
