Solid sheesham farmhouse dining table with trestle base and natural matte finish

What a farmhouse dining table is — and how we build it

A farmhouse dining table is defined by its base and its honesty: a plank-style top carried on a trestle, an A-frame, or four square tapered legs, with the wood's grain left visible rather than hidden under a high-gloss shell. It is the table a family and its guests gather around, so it has to take daily use, spilled wine and moved chairs for years. We build ours the way that intent demands — from solid hardwood boards, mortise-and-tenon or bolt-through joinery, and finishes chosen for repairability, not just shine.

Because we are a manufacturer-exporter, every table is specified for a buyer's market before it ships: the wood, the top thickness, the edge profile, the base style, the finish sheen and the packaging. Nothing is a stock SKU you have to accept as-is.

The wood

Pick the hardwood that fits your market

All solid, all export-grade. Each wood carries its own grain, weight, hardness and price point — so you can position the same farmhouse silhouette from mid-tier to premium.

Sheesham (Indian rosewood)

Dense, hard-wearing and richly figured with golden-to-chocolate streaks. The classic Jodhpur dining wood — premium feel, excellent longevity, handled in a CITES-compliant supply chain.

Explore sheesham properties and grades

Mango

A fast-renewing, sustainable hardwood with pale-to-amber tones and a lively grain. Lighter in cost than sheesham, it carries stains and whitewash finishes beautifully for a brighter farmhouse look.

Acacia

Hard, water-resistant and boldly grained, with dramatic colour contrast. A durable mid-premium option that suits chunky tops and distressed finishes.

Explore acacia wood characteristics

Reclaimed / old wood

Salvaged timber with genuine age, nail marks and patina — the most authentic farmhouse story and the strongest sustainability claim. Every top is unique.

Teak and rubberwood are also available on request. For a solid-wood alternative to China-sourced panel furniture, these hardwoods are the heart of the Jodhpur offer.

Finishes & use cases

Finishes that fit the room

Natural & oiled

Low-sheen oiled or waxed finishes that show the true grain and are easy to spot-repair — the core farmhouse look. Formaldehyde-compliant for US and EU homes.

Distressed & whitewash

Lightly worn edges, dry-brushed or limed tops for a weathered, coastal or rustic range — strong on mango and reclaimed wood.

Stained & two-tone

Dark walnut-tone tops with contrasting painted or metal bases for a modern-farmhouse, industrial-leaning aesthetic that photographs well online.

Farmhouse tables anchor residential dining ranges, but they also carry well into hospitality and contract projects — restaurants, cafés, resorts and reception areas that want warmth and durability in one piece. Pair them with benches, cross-back chairs or upholstered seating to ship a complete dining program.

Why source farmhouse dining tables from us

Dining tables are a high-scrutiny, high-return category — buyers judge the wood, the joinery and the paperwork. We are built for all three.

  • Compliance-proven. FSC chain-of-custody and Vriksh timber-legality verification, EUDR due-diligence and geolocation ready, US Lacey Act declaration support, UKTR, and CARB / TSCA Title VI finishes. Certificate details are shared with serious buyers one-to-one.
  • Scale with QC. Our own factory plus a vetted Jodhpur manufacturing network takes you from a trial order to repeat container volumes under managed quality control. Factory visit available on prior intimation.
  • Freight-smart forms. Flat-pack / knockdown tables cut breakage and maximise container density — a real landed-cost advantage for importers and online sellers.
  • Custom & private-label. ODM plus OEM, CNC carving and bespoke sizing, with custom, retail-ready and Amazon-FBA-ready packaging.
  • Single-source consolidation. Combine dining with bedroom, décor and metalware in one compliant container instead of juggling vendors.

Review our full EUDR readiness and timber-legality documentation if deforestation-free sourcing is a gate for your market.

Care & longevity

Solid wood rewards simple care. Wipe spills promptly, use coasters and trivets, and keep the table away from direct heat and prolonged direct sun to limit movement. Re-oil or re-wax oiled finishes once or twice a year to feed the wood and refresh the sheen; lacquered tops need only a damp cloth and a mild cleaner. Minor dents and scratches on an oiled farmhouse top can be sanded and spot-treated locally — part of why these tables last for generations rather than being discarded. We supply care guidance and finish details with every order so your customers keep their tables looking right.

FAQs

Farmhouse dining table questions, answered

What wood are your farmhouse dining tables made from?

They are built from solid hardwoods — sheesham (Indian rosewood), mango, acacia, teak and reclaimed/old wood — not veneer over panel. Each has its own grain, colour and hardness, so you can match a wood to your market's price point and look.

Do you ship farmhouse tables flat-pack or assembled?

Both. We make assembled tables and knockdown / flat-pack (RTA) versions where the top and trestle base detach. Flat-pack lowers freight cost and breakage and packs more density per container — ideal for large importers and online sellers.

What sizes and seating do farmhouse dining tables come in?

Standard rectangular tops run from roughly 180 cm (seats 6) to 240 cm (seats 8) and 300 cm (seats 10), with extendable and custom lengths on request. Height is the standard dining 76 cm. We also build square, round and live-edge/river variants to spec.

What is the minimum order for farmhouse dining tables?

A trial or sample order can ship LCL. For best, cost-advantaged pricing we ask for one 20ft FCL minimum thereafter, and you can mix categories — dining, bedroom, décor — into a single compliant container.

Are your tables compliant for the US and EU markets?

Yes. We work with FSC chain-of-custody and Vriksh timber-legality verification, are EUDR due-diligence and geolocation ready, support US Lacey Act declarations, and use CARB / TSCA Title VI formaldehyde-compliant finishes. Certificate details go to serious buyers directly.

Can you private-label or customise a farmhouse table design?

Yes. We work ODM (our ready designs) and OEM (make-to-your-spec), with CNC carving, bespoke dimensions, your choice of finish, and custom or retail-ready packaging including Amazon-FBA-ready cartons.
