Acacia wood dining tables — dense, figured hardwood that stands up to daily dining.

A dining table is the hardest-working surface in a home or restaurant, and acacia is the value hardwood that survives it. One of the hardest, most water-resistant woods we work, it carries bold figured grain and warm multi-tone colour that turns a dining room into a talking point. We manufacture solid acacia dining tables in Jodhpur — legally sourced, FSC and EUDR-ready, finished to your spec and shipped from a single trial order up to repeat container volumes.

Why acacia for a dining table

The hardwood that handles plates, spills and years of meals — and still looks premium.

A dining table lives under constant, close-up use: cutlery, hot dishes, wet glasses, scrubbing and the full weight of elbows and leaning diners. Acacia answers that brief better than almost any value hardwood. It is a genuinely dense tropical hardwood with a high Janka hardness, so a solid acacia top resists the dents, scratches and ring-marks that quickly age a softer surface. Its natural oils give it real water and stain resistance — exactly what you want on the one table that food and drink sit on every day. And the figure is the selling point: bold, often interlocked and wavy grain runs from honey and amber through to deep walnut-brown, so no two tops are alike and every one reads as hand-selected. Because acacia grows fast and is frequently plantation-sourced, it also carries a credible sustainability story your retail, e-commerce and hospitality buyers can put on the label.

Acacia dining tables documented for every market you sell into.

Acacia's fast growth and plantation sourcing make it one of the easier woods to supply sustainably — but modern buyers need the paperwork, not just the claim. Every acacia dining table ships with FSC chain-of-custody on request, Vriksh timber-legality verification, and EUDR-ready geolocation and deforestation-free due diligence. We provide US Lacey Act declaration support, UK Timber Regulation coverage, and CARB / TSCA Title VI formaldehyde-compliant finishes, with social and quality assurance under SEDEX / SMETA, ISO and SGS inspection, and ISPM-15 heat-treated export packing. Care & durability

Built for years of daily and commercial dining.

Acacia tops, aprons and legs are kiln-dried to stable moisture before joinery, with mortise-and-tenon and dowelled joints — and bolt-on bases on knockdown builds — that stay tight under the loading a dining table takes. Day to day, an acacia dining table needs only a wipe with a soft cloth, slightly damp for food marks, then dried. Acacia's density and natural oils make it more forgiving of spills than most woods, but no solid wood is fully waterproof, so wipe standing liquid promptly, use trivets under hot dishes, and avoid harsh solvents. A sealed matt or satin lacquer resists heat marks, sauces and drink rings for restaurant and family use; oiled and waxed finishes give a softer, more natural hand and can be re-oiled once or twice a year to feed the grain and hold the colour. Keep tables out of direct, prolonged sun to protect the tone. Because acacia is a dense hardwood, minor marks can be sanded and re-finished rather than replaced — a point your retail and hospitality customers value. Full care and finish guidance ships with every order so your buyers give consistent advice.

Questions buyers ask

Acacia wood dining table sourcing, answered.

Is acacia wood good for a dining table?

Acacia is one of the best value hardwoods for a dining table. It is among the hardest furniture woods, with a high Janka rating, so a solid acacia top resists the knives, plates, scrubbing and daily loading a dining surface takes. Its natural oils give it real water and stain resistance against spills and wet glasses, and its bold figured grain — honey and amber shifting to dark walnut-brown — makes every top read as hand-selected. That mix of toughness and figure is exactly what retail, restaurant and hotel buyers want in the hardest-working table in the house.

How many people can an acacia dining table seat?

It depends on length. As a rule, allow about 24 in (60 cm) of table edge per diner. Our standard acacia tops run from a 4-seater at around 48 in (120 cm) long, through 6-seaters at 60–72 in (150–180 cm) and 8-seaters at 78–96 in (200–240 cm), up to 10-seater and bench-dining lengths. Round tops of 42–54 in (107–137 cm) seat four to six comfortably. We build to your exact length, width and seating target for contract and private-label programmes.

What finishes can you apply to acacia wood dining tables?

Acacia finishes beautifully. We offer natural oiled and waxed looks that deepen the grain, sealed matt or satin lacquer for a wipe-clean, food-safe surface, plus stains, limed, whitewashed and hand-distressed effects and two-tone tops on contrasting bases — all in CARB / TSCA Title VI formaldehyde-compliant formulations. A solid acacia top also pairs well with a powder-coated wrought-iron trestle or hairpin base for an industrial or farmhouse look.

How is an acacia dining table different from a mango or sheesham one?

All three are solid hardwoods we export. Acacia is the hardest and most water-resistant of the three, with bold figured grain and warm multi-tone colour — ideal for a dining surface in heavy daily or commercial use. Sheesham (Indian rosewood) is dense and fine-grained with crisp carving for heirloom-style and colonial dining sets. Mango is lighter, open-grained and the most cost-advantaged for high-volume ranges. We help you match the wood to your price point and end use.

What is your minimum order for acacia wood dining tables?

A trial or sample order can ship LCL (part-container). For best wholesale pricing thereafter, one 20ft full container load is our standard minimum, and we consolidate acacia dining tables with matching dining chairs, benches, buffets, sideboards and other categories into a single mixed, compliant container.

Can you make acacia dining tables to our own design and brand?

Yes. We work as ODM (our catalogue designs) and OEM (your drawings, dimensions, finishes and private-label or retail-ready packaging), including custom CNC carving, flat-pack / knockdown builds for lower freight and breakage, and acacia tops on iron, trestle, pedestal or solid-wood bases.
