Our desks are kiln-dried to stable moisture levels before machining, so tops stay flat in dry heated offices and humid coastal homes alike. Finishes are wipe-clean and formaldehyde-compliant. For your care-card copy and retail listings: dust with a soft dry cloth, wipe spills promptly, keep clear of direct radiators and sun, and re-tighten bolt-through legs on knockdown models after assembly. What woods do you use for your writing desks?
We build desks in solid sheesham (Indian rosewood), mango, acacia, teak and reclaimed wood, often paired with wrought-iron frames for industrial styles. Any desk with a solid-wood component qualifies — we do not supply plywood or panel desks.
Can writing desks ship flat-pack to save freight?
Yes. Most desks are offered knockdown / flat-pack (RTA) with bolt-on legs or frames, which lowers freight cost and breakage risk and maximises container density. Fully assembled desks are also available where you need them ready to place.
What is the minimum order for desks?
A trial or sample desk can ship LCL (part-container). For best wholesale pricing, one 20ft full container load is our standard minimum thereafter, and we consolidate desks with chairs, storage or décor into a single mixed container.
Do you make desks to our own drawings and brand?
Yes — we are both ODM (our ready catalogue designs) and OEM. Send dimensions, finish and hardware specs and we manufacture to your drawings with custom CNC work, private-label marking and retail-ready or branded packaging.
Are your desks compliant for import into the US and EU?
Yes. We document FSC chain-of-custody, Vriksh timber-legality and CITES-compliant sheesham, with ISO, SGS and SEDEX/SMETA audits. Desks are EUDR-ready and we support US Lacey Act declarations, UK Timber Regulation, CARB/TSCA finishes and ISPM-15 export packing.
What is the typical lead time for a desk order?
Standard lead time is 30–45 days from approved sample, including QC and full compliance documentation. Urgent orders can be expedited at a premium.
