Wrought iron coffee tables — hand-forged bases for retail, café and contract floors.

Jodhpur is as well known for its iron forges as its solid wood, and we build on both. Our wrought iron coffee tables pair a hand-forged, powder-coated steel base with your choice of solid-wood, marble or glass top — rigid under heavy slabs, finished to your palette, and shipped knocked-down from a single trial order up to repeat container volumes.

Why wrought iron for a coffee table base

The strongest base we build — and the one that carries stone and slab.

A coffee table lives at the centre of a room and takes feet, trays, weight and years of being shoved across a floor. Wrought iron — mild steel bar stock, heated and hand-worked at the forge — gives that table a base nothing else matches for strength-to-slimness. It carries thick marble and heavy solid-wood tops that would split or overload a slender timber leg, which is exactly why interior designers specify iron under large-format and stone-topped tables. Iron is heavy, so the table stays planted and does not skate; it welds into rigid geometric, scrolled or hairpin frames that read as industrial, modern or ornate depending on how it is drawn. Because the base is metal, it will not swell, crack or dry out across climates — all seasonal movement sits in the wooden top. Forged, welded, ground smooth and powder-coated, it is a base engineered to outlast the fashions it carries.

Weld quality and finish depth vary with workmanship, so we recommend approving a physical table before production. Request a wrought iron coffee table sample and we will send base, finish and top references for your range. For the full metal profile, see the wrought iron material guide.

Sizes & build options

Shapes, heights and tops — matched to your sofa line.

Set coffee-table height level with or just below the sofa seat — roughly 16–18 in (41–46 cm) works for most ranges. Every dimension below is a standard starting point; we build iron bases to your exact footprint, height and top for contract and retail projects.

Base options

Geometric, cross-leg, scrolled, hairpin, cage, trestle and cantilever frames in forged flat bar or tube. Levelling glides on every foot; optional casters and under-shelf rails for metal-and-wood builds.

Tops & finishes

Solid mango, sheesham, acacia, teak or reclaimed wood; marble and natural-stone slabs; toughened glass. Iron in powder coat, antique patina or waxed raw finish — all CARB / TSCA Title VI compliant.

Packing & shipping

Bases ship knocked-down and nest tight; tops are corner-protected and foam-wrapped. Carton, retail-ready, Amazon-FBA-ready or branded packaging. ISPM-15 heat-treated wood packing, FOB or CIF from Mundra / Nhava Sheva.

Import-ready compliance

Metal base, wooden top — documented for both.

An iron-and-wood table has to satisfy timber rules and metal-finish rules at once, so we document both. The wooden tops ship with FSC chain-of-custody on request, Vriksh timber-legality verification, and EUDR-ready geolocation and deforestation-free due diligence; we provide US Lacey Act declaration support and UK Timber Regulation coverage. Powder coats and lacquers are CARB / TSCA Title VI formaldehyde-compliant, with social and quality assurance under SEDEX / SMETA, ISO and SGS inspection, and ISPM-15 heat-treated export packing for the wood components. Certificate references go directly to serious buyers — never published.

Care & durability

Finishes that survive a contract floor.

Powder-coated iron needs only a wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth; it resists scuffing, moisture and daily café service, and small chips can be touched up with matched enamel. Waxed raw-iron finishes carry a deliberate aged look and can be re-waxed once or twice a year to deepen the patina and hold back surface rust. For covered-outdoor settings we galvanise or zinc-prime beneath the coat, so the base shrugs off damp air; fully exposed coastal sites get a marine-grade finish and occasional touch-up. Welds are ground smooth and levelling glides protect floors and let staff true the table on uneven tiling. Wooden tops take the usual care for their species, and marble tops should be sealed and blotted of spills. Full care and finish guidance ships with every order so your retail and hospitality customers get consistent advice.

Questions buyers ask

Wrought iron coffee table sourcing, answered.

Are wrought iron coffee tables suitable for outdoor and patio use?

Yes, when specified for it. For covered terraces and indoor-outdoor cafés we hot-dip galvanise or zinc-prime the steel before a UV-stable powder coat, which seals the metal against moisture and rust. For fully exposed poolside or coastal settings we recommend a marine-grade finish and periodic touch-up. Indoor tables use a standard powder coat or an aged, waxed raw-iron finish.

What tops do you pair with wrought iron coffee table bases?

We build the base to carry solid mango, sheesham, acacia, teak or reclaimed-wood tops, marble and natural-stone slabs, or toughened glass. Wood and stone are bolted from underneath to a welded cleat frame so the top sits flush and stable; glass rests on levelled pads. You choose the top material, thickness and edge profile, and we match the base to it.

Is wrought iron strong enough for a heavy stone or wood top?

Wrought iron is the strongest base material we offer. A forged and welded steel frame carries thick marble and solid-wood slabs that would overload a slim timber leg, which is why designers pick iron for large-format and stone-topped coffee tables. We size bar stock and add cross-stretchers to the top weight, so the table stays rigid and does not rack under load.

What finishes are available on the iron?

Powder coat in matte or satin black, graphite, bronze, white and custom RAL colours; hand-applied antique, rust-effect and hammered patinas; or a natural raw-iron finish sealed with wax or lacquer. Powder coat is the most durable for contract and hospitality traffic. All finishes are solvent-cured and low-emission for safe indoor use.

What is your minimum order for wrought iron coffee tables?

A trial or sample order can ship LCL (part-container). For best wholesale pricing thereafter, one 20ft full container load is our standard minimum. Iron bases ship knocked-down and nest tightly, so we consolidate coffee tables with side tables, console tables, dining ranges and décor into one mixed container.

Can you manufacture to our drawings and private-label packaging?

Yes. We work as ODM from our catalogue and as OEM from your CAD drawings, dimensions, finish and top spec, including custom scrollwork, hairpin and geometric bases produced on our forging and welding lines. We supply retail-ready, Amazon-FBA-ready and branded packaging with your labels and barcodes.
