Reclaimed chest of drawers — salvaged-timber dressers built for retail and contract buyers.

A reclaimed chest sells on two things at once: genuine character no factory can fake, and the cleanest sustainability story in the category. We manufacture one-of-a-kind reclaimed dressers in Jodhpur from salvaged Indian hardwood — de-nailed, re-graded and kiln-treated, with rebuilt dovetailed drawers — deforestation-free, EUDR-ready, from a single trial order up to repeat container volumes.

Why reclaimed sells

Character your customers can see, and a timber story that survives scrutiny.

Reclaimed furniture has moved from niche to mainstream because it answers two buyer demands in one piece. First, authenticity: our boards are salvaged from dismantled buildings, old doors, beams, boats and railway stock across India — mostly old teak and sheesham — so each chest arrives with real patina, weathered grain, nail holes, bolt scars and saw marks that distressed finishes only imitate. Second, conscience: reclaimed wood reuses hardwood felled decades ago, needs no new felling, and is deforestation-free by design — the strongest sustainability position in our range and a natural fit for EUDR-aligned collections. There is a build bonus, too. Having air-dried for decades, salvaged hardwood has done most of its moving, so once we de-nail, grade and kiln-treat it, it rebuilds into an exceptionally stable carcass and drawer. Character, stability and a defensible timber story, in one storage piece your floor staff can talk about.

The deforestation-free dresser, fully documented.

Reclaimed wood is the easiest story to defend under tightening timber law — it reuses already-felled hardwood and is deforestation-free by design — but documentation still matters, so we provide it. Every reclaimed chest ships with EUDR-ready due diligence, Vriksh timber-legality verification, and documented salvaged-sourcing and chain-of-custody records. We provide US Lacey Act declaration support, UK Timber Regulation coverage, and CARB / TSCA Title VI formaldehyde-compliant finishes, with social and quality assurance under SEDEX / SMETA, ISO and SGS inspection, and ISPM-15 heat-treated export packing. Certificate references go directly to serious buyers — never published.

Care & durability

Old wood, rebuilt to work like new.

Reclaimed boards are de-nailed, graded and kiln-treated before joinery, which clears any residual pests and sets a stable moisture level — so rebuilt drawers stay square and glide cleanly. The surface character, including nail holes and saw marks, is intentional and part of the appeal; it is sealed or waxed so it stays clean and does not snag clothing. Dust with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth and wipe spills promptly; avoid harsh solvents, which can lift painted and distressed finishes. A light wax refresh once a year keeps waxed surfaces mellow. Because tone varies naturally across salvaged boards, we match the overall look within each piece and keep an order coherent to the approved style. Full care and finish guidance ships with every order, so your retail and contract customers get consistent advice.

Questions buyers ask

Reclaimed chest of drawers sourcing, answered.

What is a reclaimed chest of drawers?

A reclaimed chest of drawers is a storage dresser built from salvaged timber rather than freshly felled wood — in our case old teak and sheesham rescued from dismantled buildings, doors, beams, boats and railway stock across India. Each board keeps its original surface history (patina, grain, nail holes, saw marks and bolt scars), so every chest is one-of-a-kind, while the drawer boxes are rebuilt with fresh joinery for reliable daily use.

Are reclaimed chests of drawers good quality?

Yes — reclaimed hardwood is typically more stable than new timber because it has air-dried for decades, so most of its movement is already finished. We de-nail, re-grade and kiln-treat every board, then rebuild the drawer boxes with dovetail or dowelled corners and fit new runners. The result pairs the character of old wood with the square, clean-gliding drawer action of new joinery.

What styles of reclaimed chest of drawers can you manufacture?

We build rustic, boho, industrial and vintage dressers — multi-tone natural, consistent stain over mixed boards, hand-painted multicolour fronts, apothecary-style banks of small drawers, and reclaimed-wood-and-iron builds. Configurations run from compact 3-drawer chests to wide 6–8 drawer dressers and tallboys, all to your drawer count, width, depth and internal layout.

Can reclaimed chests of drawers ship flat-pack to cut freight?

Yes. We supply assembled or knockdown (flat-pack / RTA) builds to cut freight cost and transit breakage, which also raises container density. Packing options include carton, retail-ready, Amazon-FBA-ready and branded packaging, all ISPM-15 heat-treated for export and shipped FOB or CIF from Mundra / Nhava Sheva.

What is the minimum order for reclaimed chests of drawers?

A trial or sample order can ship LCL (part-container). For best wholesale pricing thereafter, one 20ft full container load is our standard minimum, and we consolidate reclaimed chests with sideboards, beds, consoles and other categories into a single mixed container.

Do you make reclaimed chests of drawers to our own design?

Yes. We work as ODM (our catalogue designs) and OEM (your drawings, dimensions, finishes and private-label or retail-ready packaging), including multicolour painted fronts, carved-panel facings, iron-and-reclaimed-wood frames and knockdown builds engineered to your freight plan.
