Reclaimed benches — genuine salvaged-wood character, built for entryways, dining and contract.
A reclaimed bench sells a story no new timber can fake: decades of age, honest wear and a surface that was already old before it became furniture. We build reclaimed benches in Jodhpur from genuine salvaged Indian hardwood on timber or steel bases — each one unique, documented for legality, and shipped from a single trial order up to repeat container volumes.
Age you cannot manufacture — on a form that invites it.
A bench is a plain, honest object: a seat, legs, maybe a shelf. That plainness is exactly why reclaimed wood works so well on it — there is nothing to compete with the surface, so the patina does all the talking. We build reclaimed benches from salvaged Indian hardwood: old sheesham, teak and mango pulled from demolished buildings, old doors, structural beams and railway timber, then cleaned, de-nailed, kiln-stabilised and rebuilt. What stays is the good part — filled checks, bolt holes, tonal patchwork, ghost lines of old paint and the deep colour only decades of oxidation give. Because the timber is already fully seasoned, a reclaimed bench is dimensionally calm and takes heavy traffic without the movement new wood shows. It suits entryways, mudrooms, dining banquettes, end-of-bed seating and hospitality lobbies where a buyer wants instant soul, a sustainability line and a piece no competitor can duplicate board for board.

Because salvaged stock varies, we recommend approving a physical bench before production. Request a reclaimed bench sample and we will send tone, length and base references for your range, or compare builds across woods and styles on the benches hub.
Entryway, dining or storage — cut to your plan.

Salvaged doesn't mean undocumented.
Reclaimed wood is a sustainability asset only if its origin can be stood behind — so we document it. Every reclaimed bench ships with timber-legality traceability under Vriksh, FSC chain-of-custody on request for new components, and EUDR-ready geolocation and deforestation-free due diligence that reclaimed stock supports naturally. We provide US Lacey Act declaration support, UK Timber Regulation coverage, and CARB / TSCA formaldehyde-compliant finishes, with social and quality assurance under SEDEX / SMETA, ISO and SGS inspection, and ISPM-15 heat-treated export packing. Certificate references go directly to serious buyers — never published.
| Area | Our standard |

Already proven by decades — finished to serve many more.
Reclaimed hardwood arrives fully seasoned, so a finished bench stays dimensionally calm even under the dry heat of a centrally warmed lobby or home. We de-nail, kiln-treat and structurally rebuild every seat, reinforcing joints and seating bases square so the piece takes real weight without racking. Day to day it needs only a wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth; a sealed surface shrugs off spills, while a waxed or oiled finish can be refreshed once or twice a year to deepen the tone. The marks that come with salvaged wood — checks, fill, old holes — are stabilised during the build and are part of the character, not failure points. Steel bases are powder-coated against scuffing for high-wear venues. Full care and finish guidance ships with every order so your retail and hospitality customers get consistent advice.
Reclaimed bench sourcing, answered.
What wood do you use for reclaimed benches?
We build reclaimed benches from genuine salvaged Indian hardwood — old sheesham, teak and mango recovered from decommissioned buildings, doors, beams and railway timber — so each seat carries authentic age: nail holes, saw kerfs, bolt scars, tonal patches and traces of old finish. Where a buyer needs a matched set at volume we blend salvaged boards with new solid wood distressed and colour-matched to read as one piece. We disclose the exact build on every quote.
Is every reclaimed bench different?
Yes. Reclaimed stock is salvaged, not sawn to order, so grain, colour, filled checks and surface marks vary board to board and bench to bench — that variation is the product, not a defect. For retail programmes we group benches into controlled tonal ranges (light, medium, dark) so your line looks intentional on a shelf or site photo, and we approve a physical sample before production.
Are reclaimed benches suitable for hospitality and high-traffic entryways?
They are well suited to it. Salvaged hardwood is already decades seasoned and dimensionally settled, so it takes the knocks of a hotel lobby, restaurant waiting bench or busy mudroom without the movement newer wood can show. We reinforce joints, seal the surface to your spec and can mount seats on welded steel bases for contract-grade stability.
What is your minimum order for reclaimed benches?
A trial or sample order can ship LCL (part-container). For best wholesale pricing thereafter, one 20ft full container load is our standard minimum, and we consolidate reclaimed benches with dining, entryway, storage and other ranges into a single mixed container.
How do you handle the sustainability story for reclaimed benches?
Reclaimed wood is our strongest sustainability line: it reuses timber already in circulation, avoids new felling and lands as a deforestation-free, EUDR-ready narrative your buyers can market. We document chain-of-custody where applicable and pair reclaimed seats with legally sourced new components under Vriksh and FSC-minded controls.
Can you make reclaimed benches to our own design and brand?
Yes. We work as ODM (our catalogue designs) and OEM (your drawings, dimensions, base style and private-label or retail-ready packaging), including hairpin, A-frame and box-steel bases, storage and shoe-rack builds, and lengths cut to your entryway, dining or end-of-bed specification.
Approve the patina, then ship from one container up.
Sign off tone, length and base on a physical sample, then scale from a trial order to repeat container volumes on a 30–45 day lead time — QC-governed and documented for your market. Compare builds, woods and other styles on the benches hub, or explore the wider solid-wood furniture range.
