Acacia wood benches — dense, hard-wearing seating with dramatic grain.
Acacia is the value hardwood buyers choose when a bench must take years of knocks and still look characterful — and tolerate a sheltered outdoor spot. We manufacture acacia dining, entryway and garden benches in Jodhpur: legally sourced, FSC and EUDR-ready, finished to your spec and shipped from a single trial order up to repeat container volumes.
Hard enough to shrug off a busy household — and a sheltered patio.
A bench lives a hard life: dragged across floors, climbed on, loaded unevenly, knocked at the ends. Acacia answers that with density. It is a genuinely hard hardwood — Janka hardness around 1,700 lbf, well above mango, oak and sheesham — so it resists the dents and surface wear that cheaper woods pick up quickly. That same tight, interlocked grain also gives acacia a natural water tolerance that mango and sheesham lack, which is why it works for covered-outdoor garden and verandah benches as well as indoor dining and entryway seating. Visually it is one of the boldest value woods available: flowing honey and golden tones cut through with deep chocolate streaks and occasional reddish bands, so every bench carries individual figure. It is fast-growing and often plantation-grown, which keeps the sustainability story clean. For a hard-working, good-looking, cost-advantaged bench, acacia is a strong default.

Solid plank or live-edge-style seats; straight, tapered, A-frame or trestle legs; backed or backless; optional powder-coated wrought-iron base for an industrial bench; upholstered or cushion seat for hospitality.
Finishes
Natural oil to showcase the contrasting grain, matt or satin lacquer indoors, or an even stain for uniformity — in CARB / TSCA Title VI formaldehyde-compliant formulations. Outdoor benches take a UV-resistant exterior oil for re-coating on a maintenance cycle.

Finished to your brief, built to take years of service.
Acacia seats and frames are kiln-dried to stable moisture levels before joinery, so they hold firm under repeated loading, and the wood's natural density means indoor benches resist dents and surface wear far better than softer woods. Indoor acacia wipes clean with a soft, slightly damp cloth — avoid soaking and harsh solvents. For sheltered-outdoor benches, apply and re-coat a UV-resistant exterior oil once or twice a year to hold colour and repel moisture; bring benches under cover in harsh winters where possible. Being a natural hardwood with bold grain, acacia can show slight colour movement over time, which is part of its character. Keep indoor benches out of prolonged direct sun and away from heat sources to limit drying. Full care and finish guidance ships with every order so your retail and hospitality customers get consistent advice.
Acacia wood bench sourcing, answered.
Can acacia wood benches be used outdoors?
Acacia is naturally dense and water-tolerant, which makes it one of the better value woods for sheltered outdoor benches — covered patios, verandahs, garden rooms and porches. For fully exposed, uncovered positions it needs a protective oil or sealer and regular re-coating; left bare it will grey and check over time. For permanently exposed poolside or terrace seating we recommend teak.
How hard and durable is acacia wood for seating?
Very. Acacia is a genuinely hard, dense hardwood — Janka hardness around 1,700 lbf, well above mango and oak — so it resists the dents, scuffs and wear a busy dining or entryway bench collects. That density, combined with a tight interlocked grain, gives acacia benches a long service life indoors and good resistance to daily knocks in contract settings.
What does acacia wood look like?
Acacia has one of the most dramatic grains of any value hardwood — warm honey and golden tones streaked with deep chocolate browns and the occasional reddish band, in a bold, flowing figure. No two boards match, so an acacia bench has real character. We can finish it natural to showcase the contrast, or stain it to a more uniform tone.
What sizes of acacia bench do you make?
We build dining benches at roughly 42–60 in (107–152 cm) to pair with our tables, entryway and hallway benches, end-of-bed benches and sheltered-outdoor garden benches. Standard seat height is 17–18 in (43–46 cm). As an OEM manufacturer we also build to your exact drawings, dimensions and finish.
What is your minimum order for acacia wood benches?
A trial or sample order can ship LCL (part-container). For best wholesale pricing thereafter, one 20ft full container load is our standard minimum, and we consolidate acacia benches with dining tables, outdoor ranges, chairs and décor into a single mixed container.
Is acacia wood sustainable and legal to import?
Yes. Much acacia is fast-growing and plantation-grown, giving it a sound sustainability profile. We supply FSC chain-of-custody and Vriksh timber-legality documentation on request, with EUDR-ready geolocation and deforestation-free due diligence, US Lacey Act declaration support and UK Timber Regulation coverage.
Sample the grain and finish, then ship from one container up.
Approve the grain, colour and build on a physical sample, then scale from a trial order to repeat container volumes on a 30–45 day lead time — QC-governed and documented for your market. Read the full species profile on the acacia wood material guide, or compare woods and builds on the benches hub.
