Rustic beds — raw grain, heavy planks and genuine lodge character.
The rustic bed leans into the truth of real timber: a heavy plank or live-edge headboard, knotty grain, visible tool marks, and a natural matte finish that looks honest rather than polished. We manufacture rustic beds in Jodhpur in reclaimed wood, solid acacia and mango — bolt-together for shipping, legally sourced and supplied from a single trial order up to repeat container volumes.
The look that only real wood can deliver.
Rustic is the one bedroom style that cannot be faked convincingly — its whole appeal is the honesty of solid timber. Heavy plank headboards, knotty grain, visible saw and tool marks, chunky posts and a natural matte finish: the character has to be real, which is where a laminate or veneer version falls flat and a solid-wood manufacturer wins. We build the full frame in solid wood, and the style is a natural home for reclaimed/old wood, with its salvaged colour shifts and original nail holes, and for live-edge headboard slabs that keep the tree's natural edge. Each piece reads a little differently, and that is the point. For lodge and cabin retailers, mountain and countryside resorts, and buyers chasing a warm, grounded bedroom, rustic beds are a distinctive, high-margin anchor that carry a genuine sustainability story when built from reclaimed timber.

Rustic beds are solid and reclaimed wood, which puts them inside the timber regulations tightening across your markets — so we built the documentation around them. Every rustic bed ships with FSC chain-of-custody on request, Vriksh timber-legality verification, and EUDR-ready geolocation and deforestation-free due diligence, with clear documentation of reclaimed-timber origin. We provide US Lacey Act declaration support, UK Timber Regulation coverage, and CARB / TSCA formaldehyde-compliant finishes, with social and quality assurance under SEDEX / SMETA, ISO and SGS inspection, and ISPM-15 heat-treated export packing. Rugged by nature, engineered for service.
Rustic frames are kiln-dried to stable moisture levels before joinery — important for reclaimed timber, which we re-dry and stabilise so a salvaged plank behaves predictably in a heated or air-conditioned bedroom. Knots are stabilised and sealed, and heavy headboards are jointed and bolted into the rails so the frame carries years of lodge, rental and residential use. Natural matte and oiled finishes are easy to maintain: dust with a soft dry cloth, wipe spills promptly, and re-oil occasionally if an oiled finish was chosen to keep the grain rich. Minor marks simply add to the character rather than detract from it. The bolt-together design lets the bed be moved without stressing the plank headboard, and full care guidance ships with every order.
Rustic bed sourcing, answered.
What makes a bed 'rustic'?
Rustic beds celebrate the raw character of real timber: heavy plank headboards, knotty grain, visible saw and tool marks, chunky posts and a natural matte finish that leaves the wood looking honest rather than polished. Live-edge headboards and reclaimed wood suit the look especially well. We build the whole frame in solid wood so the weight and texture are genuine.
Which woods do you use for rustic beds?
We build rustic beds in reclaimed/old wood for authentic salvaged character and history, in solid acacia and mango for warm knotty grain, and can supply a live-edge headboard slab. All are solid-wood materials, legally sourced with FSC chain-of-custody and Vriksh timber-legality documentation available on request; reclaimed wood carries its own sustainability story.
Can you supply live-edge or reclaimed rustic headboards?
Yes. A live-edge headboard — a solid slab that keeps the tree's natural edge — and reclaimed-plank headboards with original nail holes, saw marks and colour variation are both core to the rustic range. Each slab and reclaimed board is unique, so we approve the actual piece with you where the order allows.
Is the knotty, marked look a defect?
No. Knots, grain variation, tool marks and, in reclaimed wood, old nail holes and colour shifts are intentional features of rustic furniture, not flaws — they give each bed its character. We stabilise knots and fill only where structure requires it, and we agree the acceptable range of character with you on a sample before production.
Do rustic beds ship flat-packed?
Yes. Even heavy rustic frames are engineered as bolt-together knockdown — plank headboard, footboard, rails and slat base pack into protected cartons to cut freight and breakage. Assembled builds are available for lodge, resort and boutique orders.
What is your minimum order for rustic beds?
A trial or sample order can ship LCL (part-container). For best wholesale pricing thereafter, one 20ft full container load is our standard minimum, and we consolidate rustic beds with matching nightstands, benches, dressers and other categories into a single mixed container.
Approve the grain and finish, then ship from one container up.
Sign off the plank or live-edge headboard, character range and finish on a physical sample, then scale from a trial order to repeat container volumes on a 30–45 day lead time — QC-governed and documented for your market. Compare builds and other looks on the beds hub, or browse the full furniture range.
