Live edge beds — natural-edge solid-slab headboards, no two alike.
A live edge headboard keeps the tree's own contour, so the bed carries a piece of the forest's shape into the room. We cut these headboards from single and book-matched solid-wood slabs in Jodhpur — kiln-dried, stabilised and finished to preserve the natural edge — in international sizes, shipped from a single trial order up to repeat container volumes.
A headboard shaped by the tree, not the saw.
Live edge is the antidote to the flat, repeated headboard. Instead of straightening every side, we keep the natural outer contour of the slab, so the organic waves, knots and grain movement of the original tree remain on show along the top of the bed. Each slab is unique, which makes a live edge headboard a genuine one-of-a-kind piece — exactly the individuality interior designers and premium retail buyers are looking for. The craft is in the selection and the stabilising: we read each board for figure and balance, kiln-dry it to a controlled moisture content, fill and stabilise the natural checks, and finish both faces so the slab stays flat and sound. We cut from acacia, mango, sheesham, teak and reclaimed timber, each giving a distinct edge and colour. It is an indoor statement material — a sculptural focal point that justifies a premium shelf price and reads as natural, warm and quietly luxurious.

Solid-slab beds, documented for every market.
A live edge bed is solid timber, which puts it squarely inside the regulations tightening across your markets — so we built the documentation around them. Every headboard ships with FSC chain-of-custody on request, Vriksh timber-legality verification, and EUDR-ready geolocation and deforestation-free due diligence. We provide US Lacey Act declaration support, UK Timber Regulation coverage and CARB / TSCA formaldehyde-compliant finishes, with social and quality assurance under SEDEX / SMETA, ISO and SGS inspection, and ISPM-15 heat-treated export packing. Where sheesham slabs are used, we handle Dalbergia sissoo under CITES-compliant procedures. Certificate references go directly to serious buyers — never published.

Stabilised to stay sound in a heated bedroom.
A live edge slab is substantial and, once stabilised, very durable — but solid timber of this thickness responds to its environment, so a little care keeps it flawless. We kiln-dry and finish both faces so the board moves evenly rather than cupping, and fill or resin-stabilise natural checks before they can open further. In use, dust with a soft dry cloth and wipe with a barely damp one; avoid soaking and harsh solvents, and keep the bed out of the direct blast of radiators, underfloor heating or strong sun, which can dry a slab unevenly. Re-oil an oiled finish once or twice a year to feed the grain and keep it rich. The natural edge, knots and grain movement are the character of the piece — they are meant to be there. Full care and finish guidance ships with every order so your retail and hospitality customers get consistent advice.
Live edge bed sourcing, answered.
What is a live edge bed?
A live edge bed keeps the natural, un-straightened edge of the timber on the headboard, so the organic curve of the tree is visible along the top. Our headboards are cut from single or book-matched solid-wood slabs, sanded and finished to preserve the natural contour, knots and grain movement. The result is a sculptural, one-of-a-kind headboard — no two slabs, and therefore no two beds, are identical.
Which woods do you use for live edge headboards?
We cut live edge headboards from acacia, mango and sheesham slabs most often, and teak or reclaimed timber on request. Each species gives a different edge and figure: acacia for dramatic contrast and wild grain, mango for warm even tone, sheesham for rich dark figure. Because every slab is unique, we photograph and reference the actual board before production for designer and contract orders.
How do you keep a live edge slab from cracking or warping?
We kiln-dry slabs to a stable, controlled moisture content before working them, fill and stabilise any natural checks, and finish both faces so the board moves evenly. Natural fissures and knots are part of the live-edge character, not faults, and we stabilise rather than hide them. For dry, heated interiors we advise on finish and humidity so the slab stays sound for years.
What sizes do you make live edge beds in?
We build to international mattress standards — US Twin, Full, Queen, King and California King; UK Single, Double, King and Super King; and EU 140, 160 and 180 cm. Headboard height and slab thickness are specifiable, and because headboards are cut to order we can match a particular slab width or book-match pair to your project.
What is your minimum order for live edge beds?
A trial order can ship LCL so you can assess the slab and finish before committing. For best wholesale pricing thereafter, one 20ft full container load is our standard minimum, and we consolidate live edge beds with matching nightstands, benches and live-edge tables into a single mixed, compliance-documented container.
Can you make live edge beds to our own design and brand?
Yes. We work as ODM (our catalogue designs) and OEM (your drawings, slab selection, edge treatment, base style, finishes and private-label or retail-ready packaging), including live-edge headboards on solid-wood or metal bases, and matching bedroom pieces cut from coordinated slabs.
Approve the slab and finish, then ship from one container up.
Sign off the slab, edge and finish on a referenced sample, then scale from a trial order to repeat container volumes on a 30–45 day lead time — QC-governed and documented for your market. Compare sizes, woods and styles on the beds hub, or browse the full furniture range.
