Reclaimed bathroom vanities — salvaged old wood with a genuine, sealed-for-wet-rooms story.

Reclaimed vanities carry a history no new timber can imitate: nail holes, saw marks, weathered patina, each unit one of a kind. We recover, de-nail, heat-treat and re-mill old wood in Jodhpur, then build and seal it for bathroom service — a deforestation-free story that lands with eco-minded buyers, from a trial order up to repeat container volumes.

Why reclaimed for a vanity

Wood with a past, rebuilt for a wet room.

A reclaimed vanity is built from timber that has already lived a life — recovered from old buildings, doors, beams, sleepers and retired furniture across India, then given a second one. The value is threefold. It is genuinely sustainable: salvaged wood keeps usable timber out of landfill and spares a standing tree, a story that matters to eco-led retail and hospitality programmes and sits naturally inside deforestation-free procurement. It is authentic: the nail holes, old paint ghosts, saw kerfs and silvered patina are real history, a depth no factory distressing reproduces. And it is stable: old, long-seasoned wood has already done most of its shrinking and moving, so once we re-dry it to a controlled moisture level the top sits settled. Our part is the discipline — de-nailing, heat-treatment, kiln-drying and wet-room sealing — that turns salvaged character into a vanity fit for daily bathroom service.

Import-ready compliance

Salvaged wood, handled with full traceability.

Reclaimed timber is a strong fit for deforestation-free procurement, but it still has to be documented — so we treat it with the same discipline as new wood. We record species and recovered origin, provide EUDR-ready geolocation and due diligence, and supply US Lacey Act declaration support and UK Timber Regulation coverage. FSC chain-of-custody and Vriksh timber-legality references are available where the recovered material qualifies, with CARB / TSCA formaldehyde-compliant wet-room finishes, social and quality assurance under SEDEX / SMETA, ISO and SGS inspection, and ISPM-15 heat-treated export packing. Certificate references go directly to serious buyers — never published.

Care & durability

Old wood, properly prepared, lasts another lifetime.

Reclaimed wood earns its durability through processing. Every board is de-nailed, heat-treated to eliminate any pests, and kiln-dried to a stable moisture level before it enters a build, so the finished vanity will not harbour problems or move unpredictably in a humid bathroom. Old cracks and voids are stabilised and filled, and the top is sealed with a water-resistant lacquer rated for wet-room use; a vessel basin keeps standing water off the timber. For care, buyers wipe with a soft damp cloth and a mild pH-neutral cleaner and keep abrasive pads and solvents away from the finish. Because the base material is long-seasoned solid wood, the vanity can be lightly re-sealed and refreshed over the years rather than replaced. Full care and re-finish guidance ships with every order so your retail and hospitality customers get consistent advice.

Questions buyers ask

Reclaimed vanity sourcing, answered.

What is a reclaimed bathroom vanity?

A reclaimed vanity is built from salvaged old wood — timber recovered from decommissioned buildings, old doors, beams, railway sleepers and retired furniture — rather than freshly cut stock. We clean, de-nail, kiln-dry and re-mill the wood, keeping the nail holes, saw marks, old paint traces and weathered patina that give each piece its history, then build it into a vanity with a sealed, wet-room-ready top. Every unit is genuinely one of a kind.

Why choose reclaimed wood for a vanity?

Three reasons: sustainability, character and stability. Reclaiming timber keeps usable wood out of landfill and avoids felling new trees, which is a real story for eco-minded retail and hospitality buyers. The salvaged surface carries a depth of patina that cannot be faked with distressing. And old, long-seasoned wood has already done most of its moving, so a properly re-dried reclaimed top is dimensionally settled.

Is reclaimed wood safe and durable in a bathroom?

Yes, once it is processed correctly. We de-nail, heat-treat and kiln-dry every board to kill any pests and bring moisture to a stable level, then seal the finished top with a water-resistant CARB / TSCA-compliant lacquer rated for wet-room use. We stabilise and fill old cracks and holes so water cannot track in, and pair the vanity with a vessel basin to keep standing water off the timber.

Can I get a consistent look across a reclaimed vanity order?

Reclaimed wood is characterful by nature, so expect variation board to board — that is the appeal. What we standardise is the build: dimensions, joinery, finish sheen and the overall tone band (for example a mid-brown weathered palette or a grey barn-wood palette). For retail ranges we agree a character range on an approved sample so every unit reads as the same product while remaining individually unique.

What is the minimum order for reclaimed bathroom vanities?

A trial order can ship LCL so you can approve the character band, sealing and finish. For best wholesale pricing thereafter, one 20ft full container is our standard minimum, and we consolidate reclaimed vanities with mirrors, shelves, consoles and other salvaged-wood ranges into a single mixed container.

How is reclaimed wood documented for import?

Salvaged timber is handled under the same traceability discipline as new wood: we document species and recovered origin, provide EUDR-ready due diligence and US Lacey Act declaration support, and supply FSC and Vriksh references where the recovered material qualifies. Reclaimed sourcing is a strong fit for deforestation-free procurement policies — certificate references go to serious buyers on request.
