Why a marble top for a vanity

The one surface that makes a bathroom feel built, not fitted.

Marble is a metamorphic stone — limestone recrystallised under heat and pressure — and its appeal in a bathroom is unmatched: cool to the touch, luminous under light, and veined with patterns no two slabs share. A marble top instantly lifts a vanity from functional to architectural, which is why it anchors so many hotel, spa and premium residential bathrooms. India is a major source of natural marble and allied stones, and we select ours slab by slab so the veining and ground tone suit your range rather than arriving as pot luck. What marble is not, is maintenance-free: it is a calcium-carbonate stone, so it is porous and reacts to acids, which means it needs sealing and pH-neutral care rather than the wipe-and-forget of a man-made top. We build with that in mind — factory-sealing every top, finishing it polished or honed, and setting it on a reinforced, moisture-sealed base — so the beauty comes with a surface your end-users can actually live with.

Import-ready compliance

Stone and timber, documented together for your market.

A marble-top vanity is a two-material product, and we document both. The solid-wood base ships with FSC chain-of-custody on request, Vriksh timber-legality verification, and EUDR-ready geolocation and deforestation-free due diligence; we provide US Lacey Act declaration support, UK Timber Regulation coverage, and CARB / TSCA Title VI formaldehyde-compliant finishes for the enclosed bathroom. Stone tops are inspected for finish, thickness and cut-out tolerance, with social and quality assurance under SEDEX / SMETA, ISO and SGS inspection, and ISPM-15 heat-treated export packing for the crating. Certificate references go directly to serious buyers, never published.

Care & durability

Beautiful stone, with care your customers can follow.

A marble top lasts for generations when it is looked after, and the rules are simple enough to pass to an end-user. Because marble is porous and acid-sensitive, we supply every top factory-sealed with a penetrating stone sealer and advise periodic re-sealing — roughly once a year in a busy bathroom. Day to day, spills should be wiped promptly, especially acidic ones like perfume, toothpaste and citrus, and cleaning should use only a soft cloth and a pH-neutral stone cleaner; abrasive pads, vinegar and acidic or bleach-based sprays dull and etch the surface. A honed finish hides the light etching of daily use better than a high polish, which is why we often recommend it for hotels and family bathrooms. Beneath the stone, the base matters too: we reinforce and moisture-seal the carcase or frame so it carries the slab and shrugs off splash. Full stone-care and finish guidance ships with every order so your retail and hospitality customers protect the surface correctly.

Questions buyers ask

Marble top vanity sourcing, answered.

What marble do you use for bathroom vanity tops?

We work with natural marble and allied stones quarried and carved in India — classic white-and-grey veined marbles, warm beige and cream stones, and darker figured stones — selected slab by slab so the veining suits your range. Because marble is a natural material, colour and veining vary piece to piece; we agree a tone and pattern band before production and match each top to approved reference samples for a coherent wholesale run.

Do marble vanity tops need sealing, and will they stain or etch?

Marble is a calcium-carbonate stone, so it is porous and acid-sensitive: without care, acidic liquids (perfume, toothpaste, citrus, some cleaners) can etch dull marks and spills can stain. We supply tops factory-sealed with a penetrating stone sealer, and advise periodic re-sealing plus prompt wiping of spills and pH-neutral cleaning only. For heavy-use or commercial washrooms we can recommend a honed finish or a harder allied stone that resists etching better.

What base can I pair with a marble top?

Any of our bases. Marble tops sit on solid mango, teak, sheesham, acacia or reclaimed-wood carcases, or on powder-coated wrought-iron and brass frames for a lighter, more open look. We seal and reinforce the base to carry the stone's weight, and we build to single or double configuration. This pairing — a stone top on a compliant solid-wood base — is one of our most popular bathroom formats.

How are marble tops cut for basins and taps?

We cut tops to your specification for countertop (vessel) basins, drop-in or under-mount basins, with a polished or honed finish and your choice of edge profile — eased, bevelled, bullnose or ogee. Tap and waste holes are pre-bored to your plumbing standard, and under-mount cut-outs are polished on the reveal. Send drawings and we match the stone top and the base to your fit-out exactly.

How do you ship marble tops without breakage?

Stone is packed separately from the base in reinforced crating with edge and corner protection, foam and strapping, and the vanity ships knockdown so the top travels flat and braced. We use ISPM-15 heat-treated export packing and ship FOB or CIF from Mundra / Nhava Sheva. Flat-pack construction also maximises container density and lowers your freight per unit.

What is your minimum order for marble top bathroom vanities?

A trial or sample order can ship LCL (part-container). For best wholesale pricing thereafter, one 20ft full container load is our standard minimum, and we consolidate marble-top vanities with mirrors, stone trays, shelving and other categories into a single mixed container.
