Colonial bathroom vanities — carved dark wood, turned legs and brass, built for heritage bathrooms.
Substantial and richly detailed: dark solid wood, turned legs, panelled or louvered doors, carved moulding and warm brass. We manufacture colonial vanities in Jodhpur and Saharanpur-style carving clusters — kiln-dried, wet-room sealed, FSC and EUDR-ready, from a trial order up to repeat container volumes.
A vanity with presence, not just a cabinet.
Colonial style is what buyers reach for when a bathroom needs gravitas. Rooted in British Colonial and Indo-colonial furniture, the language is substantial and confident: dark-toned dense wood, turned or fluted legs, framed-and-panelled or louvered shutter doors, carved and moulded detail, and warm brass hardware that catches the light. In a period home, a luxury hotel suite or a heritage renovation, it does something minimalist units cannot — it reads as established, collected, permanent. India happens to be the natural home of this work: Jodhpur's solid-wood tradition and the fine hand-carving of the Saharanpur cluster let us execute intricate colonial detailing at volume and consistently. We build it in dense sheesham for an authentic deep colonial tone, or in mango and acacia stained darker for value, and we seal every top properly for the wet room it has to serve.

Heritage detailing, documented timber — including sheesham.
Colonial vanities often use sheesham (Dalbergia sissoo), which falls under CITES, so traceability is not optional — and it is where we are strongest. We handle sheesham CITES-compliant, with FSC chain-of-custody on request, Vriksh timber-legality verification, and EUDR-ready geolocation and deforestation-free due diligence. We provide US Lacey Act declaration support, UK Timber Regulation coverage, and CARB / TSCA formaldehyde-compliant wet-room finishes, with social and quality assurance under SEDEX / SMETA, ISO and SGS inspection, and ISPM-15 heat-treated export packing. Certificate references go directly to serious buyers — never published.
| Area | Our standard |

Built heavy, carved by hand, sealed for the bathroom.
Colonial vanities are substantial by design, and that mass is backed by real joinery: mortise-and-tenon construction in kiln-dried solid wood that holds firm through humidity swings, with soft-close doors and drawers protecting the moving parts over years of use. Louvered shutter doors are built to function, allowing ventilation that keeps cabinet interiors dry. The top is sealed with a water-resistant lacquer rated for wet-room service, and an under-mounted or vessel basin keeps standing water off the timber. For care, buyers wipe with a soft damp cloth and a mild pH-neutral cleaner, dust carved detailing with a soft brush, and keep abrasive pads and solvents away from the finish; brass hardware can be left to patina or polished to taste. Because the piece is dense solid wood, the finish can be refreshed over decades rather than replaced. Full care and finish guidance ships with every order.
Colonial vanity sourcing, answered.
What is a colonial-style bathroom vanity?
Colonial style — British Colonial and its Indo-colonial relatives — is a richly detailed, substantial look: dark-toned solid wood, turned or fluted legs, framed-and-panelled or louvered shutter-style doors, carved or moulded detailing, and warm brass hardware. It reads as established and heritage, suited to period properties, luxury hotels and residences that want a vanity with presence rather than minimalist restraint.
Which woods do you use for colonial vanities?
Colonial furniture calls for dense, dark, richly figured timber. We build it in solid sheesham (Indian rosewood, Dalbergia sissoo) for an authentic deep-grained colonial tone, with mango and acacia as warm, value alternatives stained to a darker finish. Sheesham is handled CITES-compliant and ships with FSC and Vriksh documentation on request; all tops are kiln-dried and sealed for wet-room service.
Is a carved colonial vanity practical in a modern bathroom?
Yes. The heritage look is decorative, but the build is engineered for daily use: kiln-dried solid wood, mortise-and-tenon joinery, soft-close doors and drawers, and a top sealed with a water-resistant CARB / TSCA-compliant lacquer. Louvered shutter doors can be fully functional for ventilation, and an under-mounted or vessel basin keeps standing water off the timber.
Can you make colonial vanities to our design and branding?
Yes. As an ODM and OEM manufacturer we build to your dimensions, carving pattern, door style, leg profile, wood tone and brass hardware, and finish to your private-label or retail-ready packaging. Our Saharanpur-style carving capability and custom CNC let us reproduce intricate heritage detailing consistently across a range.
What is the minimum order for colonial bathroom vanities?
A trial order can ship LCL so you can approve the wood tone, carving and finish. For best wholesale pricing thereafter, one 20ft full container is our standard minimum, and we consolidate colonial vanities with mirrors, consoles, chests and other heritage ranges into a single mixed container.
How are colonial vanities packed for export?
Carved and assembled colonial units ship with generous corner and edge protection to guard the detailing; bases and compact units can ship knocked down to cut freight. We supply carton, retail-ready or branded packaging, with ISPM-15 heat-treated export packing, shipped FOB or CIF from Mundra / Nhava Sheva on a 30–45 day lead.
Approve the carving, then ship from one container up.
Sign off the wood tone, carving and wet-room finish on a physical sample, then scale from a trial order to repeat container volumes on a 30–45 day lead time — QC-governed and documented for your market.
