Live edge bar stools, cut from natural-edge slabs and built to export.
Natural-edge acacia, sheesham, mango and reclaimed-wood seats on solid-wood or wrought-iron legs — kiln-dried, counter- and bar-height, compliance-documented and container-ready for importers, retailers and hospitality buyers worldwide.
The tree's own edge, kept — not squared off.
A live edge bar stool keeps the natural, undulating contour of the slab instead of cutting the seat to a straight line. The result is a one-of-a-kind seat where figure, grain flow and the organic edge become the design. We treat it as a genuine solid-wood product: a single kiln-dried hardwood seat, real hardwood or powder-coated iron legs, a comfortable footrest and the height tolerances a working counter or bar needs. Stock our catalogue range, or have us build to your exact seat, height and brand.

Reclaimed wood for live edgeWhy a natural-edge seat sells — and how we build it to last.
A seat that is its own showpiece
Because no two slabs are alike, every stool is unique — a genuine point of difference lined up along a crowded retail shelf or a boutique bar. The organic edge, book-matched figure and deep grain photograph well and justify a premium price point, which is exactly what retail and private-label buyers want from a hero SKU.
Built to stay flat and stable
Solid slabs move, so we engineer for it: timber is kiln-dried to export moisture levels, natural checks are locked with butterfly (bow-tie) keys, and seats are seasoned to resist cupping. Legs are mortise-and-tenon hardwood or welded, powder-coated steel — rigid and wobble-free under daily use.
Counter and bar height, done right
Seat height is the detail buyers return stools over, so we hold it: roughly 61–66 cm for counters and 71–76 cm for bars, with a footrest set at a comfortable rise. Backless, low-back and full-back profiles, and custom heights for islands and hospitality back-bars, are all made to order.
Finished for real-world use
Seats are sealed with CARB / TSCA Title VI-compliant lacquer or natural penetrating oil, chosen to resist spills, wear and cleaning while keeping the wood's tactile edge. You choose the sheen — matte, satin or a tougher film build for heavy hospitality floors.
One natural-edge idea, built for every channel.
Finishes
Natural oil, clear matte or satin lacquer, light stain to deepen figure, and smoke or distressed treatments for a vintage read. Iron legs are powder-coated black or bronze; brass-tone hardware and woven cane or leather seat-pad options available.
Formats
Backless live edge stool, low-back and hoop-back versions, counter-height and bar-height builds, four-leg wood frames and hairpin or sled-style iron bases — each with the natural edge preserved on the seat.
Use cases
Kitchen islands and home bars, boutique-hotel suites and back-bars, restaurant, café and cocktail-bar seating, designer fit-outs and private-label retail ranges that need a one-of-a-kind seating SKU.

We handle the paperwork before you ask: geolocated, deforestation-free, Vriksh-verified timber with FSC chain-of-custody, Lacey Act declaration support and UK Timber Regulation coverage, documented per shipment.

How to keep a natural-edge seat looking its best.
Finish & surface
Wipe spills promptly and keep stools out of direct sun and away from heat sources so the solid-wood seat stays stable. Oiled seats can be refreshed with a compatible penetrating oil; lacquered seats need only a soft, damp cloth. The natural edge is sealed but should not be knocked; check and snug leg fittings periodically on high-use floors.
Retail-ready documentation
Each shipment carries care guidance you can pass to your own customers, plus the compliance file your customs broker needs. Branded, retail-ready and Amazon-FBA-ready packaging is available so stools arrive shelf- or dropship-ready.
Live edge bar stool sourcing questions, answered.
What is a live edge bar stool?
A live edge bar stool is a counter- or bar-height stool whose seat keeps the natural, uncut contour of the tree instead of being squared off. We cut each seat from a single kiln-dried hardwood slab so the organic edge, grain flow and figure become the design, then mount it on solid-wood or powder-coated wrought-iron legs with a footrest and, on backed versions, a low back or hoop.
What seat heights do you make live edge bar stools in?
We build to two standard export heights and to your own spec: counter-height at roughly 61–66 cm seat height for a 90–95 cm counter, and bar-height at roughly 71–76 cm for a 105–110 cm bar top. Backless, low-back and full-back profiles are all available, and we size custom heights for hospitality back-bars and island counters on request.
Which woods do you use for live edge bar stool seats?
We cut natural-edge seats from solid acacia, sheesham (Indian rosewood), mango, teak and reclaimed old wood. Acacia and sheesham carry the boldest grain for a statement seat; mango suits lighter, painted or two-tone ranges; reclaimed wood gives a deforestation-free character story. Every seat has a solid-wood core — we do not supply plywood or veneer-only stools.
Can you make live edge bar stools to our own size, finish and brand?
Yes. As an ODM and OEM manufacturer we build to your drawings — seat shape and thickness, edge profile, height, leg style, footrest and finish — and to your private-label or retail-ready packaging. We also do custom CNC detailing, hospitality-grade builds and branded or Amazon-FBA-ready cartons.
Are live edge bar stool seats stable enough for commercial use?
Yes. Seats are kiln-dried to export moisture levels and any natural checks are locked with butterfly (bow-tie) keys, while mortise-and-tenon joinery or welded steel legs carry daily commercial load. We build to hospitality weight and wobble tolerances when you specify contract use, and document the construction so your QC team can verify it before shipment.
Can live edge bar stools ship flat-pack to cut freight?
Often, yes. Where the design allows, the seat and detachable legs pack down to raise container density and reduce transit breakage — useful for large importers and online sellers. Fully assembled builds are available where a one-piece look is preferred, and we consolidate stools with other categories into one container.
