Furniture quality inspection, built into every order we ship from India.
Quality is not a final glance before loading — it is four inspection gates from raw timber to the packed container, checked against your approved sample, and open to your own third-party inspector.
A rejected container is the most expensive thing in furniture importing.
Cracked tabletops, loose joints, mismatched finishes or a load that does not match the sample can cost you a season, not just a shipment. Quality control exists to make sure the container you open is the order you approved — which is why we inspect at four stages, document what we find, and leave the gate open for your own inspector to verify it.
Checked at every stage — not only before it loads.
Incoming material
Timber is checked for species, grain, knots and defects, and moisture content is measured and logged before cutting. Metal, marble, cane, inlay and hardware components are inspected on arrival.
In-process
Joinery, frame strength, dimensions and assembly are checked during production, so a fault is caught at the bench — not after a hundred pieces are finished.
Finish & hardware
Colour, finish consistency, polish, and the fit and function of drawers, hinges and fittings are checked against your approved golden sample.
Pre-shipment
Finished goods are inspected by lot, carton counts and markings verified, and packing checked before the order is consolidated and loaded.
What each quality requirement means for your order.
Importers ask the same questions of every Indian furniture supplier. Here is how we answer them — with a documented, verifiable standard rather than a promise.
| Requirement | Our standard |
|---|---|
| Inspection coverage | 4 gates: incoming · in-process · finish · pre-shipment |
| Third-party inspection | SGS supported · your own agency welcome |
| Quality management | ISO-aligned process & checklists |
| Moisture & stability | Kiln-dried · moisture-metered to destination climate |
| Finish safety | CARB / TSCA Title VI formaldehyde-compliant |
| Traceability | EN 10204 MTC-style docs · lot traceability |

Built to survive the container, not just the showroom.
Moisture before movement
Most cracking and warping starts with wet wood. We kiln-dry and meter moisture to a stable range matched to where the furniture is headed, so sheesham, mango, acacia and teak stay sound through a long ocean transit and a dry destination.
Joinery you can load hard
Frames, joints and tops are checked for strength and square in-process. Flat-pack and knockdown construction removes much of the leverage that snaps assembled pieces in a stacked, shifting container.
One standard, every cluster
Whether a piece is made in our own factory or a vetted partner unit across Jodhpur, Moradabad, Saharanpur or Jaipur, it passes the same gates against the same approved sample before it joins your load.
Approve a sample, then hold the order to it.
A trial or sample order can ship LCL so you can judge wood, finish and build in your own hands before scaling up. That approved sample becomes the golden reference every subsequent piece is inspected against — and we send photo and video evidence at the sample, in-process and pre-shipment stages, so nothing ships without your sign-off. Factory visits are welcome on prior intimation.
Quality inspection — the details.
How do you inspect furniture quality in India before shipping?
Quality control runs across four gates, not one final look. We check incoming timber and components (moisture content, grain, defects), in-process joinery and assembly, finish and hardware, and a pre-shipment inspection of the packed, loaded order. Every piece is checked against your approved sample and spec, and we support independent SGS third-party inspection on request.
Can I use my own third-party inspection agency?
Yes. Many importers book their own inspector or an agency such as SGS for a pre-shipment or during-production inspection, and we welcome it. We schedule the inspection window into the 30–45 day lead time, present the order against your approved golden sample, and share our in-house QC records so the two sets of findings line up.
How do you prevent wood cracking and warping in transit?
Solid-wood movement is controlled at the source. We kiln-dry and monitor moisture content to a stable range suited to the destination climate, select and cut timber to limit movement, and seal end-grain and finishes properly. Export packing is ISPM-15 heat-treated, and flat-pack construction reduces the leverage and breakage that assembled pieces suffer in a container.
What quality and inspection standards do you work to?
We operate an ISO-aligned quality-management discipline, use SGS for third-party inspection, and carry SEDEX / SMETA social-audit coverage so the factory conditions behind the product are verified too. Finishes meet CARB / TSCA Title VI formaldehyde norms, and we keep EN 10204 MTC-style documentation with lot traceability where it applies.
Do you check quality across your wider manufacturing network, not just your own factory?
Yes. Our own factory and our vetted multi-cluster network across Jodhpur, Moradabad, Saharanpur and Jaipur all ship under one managed QC regime. Partner units are vetted before they are used, work to the same approved sample and checklist, and every lot passes our inspection gates before it is consolidated into your container.
Can I inspect the order or visit the factory myself?
Yes — a factory visit is available on prior intimation, and you are welcome to inspect production or the packed order in person or by video walkthrough. If you cannot travel, we send photo and video evidence at the sample, in-process and pre-shipment stages so you sign off before the container leaves.
See the standard before you commit.
Send us your spec, drawings or a reference piece. We will quote FOB or CIF with lead times, walk you through the inspection plan for your order, and arrange your own third-party inspection if you want it.
